yeah i think sometimes hitboxes get fcked ,even on pc or heavy armor is really op hehe ,but as pc player im really happy that console players can play this game and modded servers ,there is life servers ,dayz servers ,fallout servers and more
The best way to survive is to stick to bushes. In comparison to other shooters ARMA has a huge emphasis on finding your enemy before he finds you so being slow and hide behind obstacles is a way to play this game especially when RU side has better camo and a lot of players just want to have a loadout they've seen in a Call of Duty game. I've killed lots and lots of layers on DARKGRU servers just because they were standing in an open field taking shots in an open and being an easy target. So gear yourself properly according to the environment. Blending in and be patient is a way to go.
Being fairly new to arma i appreciate the advice! I love milsim games and I enjoy how it's not all quick scoping sweats like cod 🤣 The more I play the more I learn!!

If you take one objective that is beside another enemy objective, normally they will sit up an ambush in between the two because they know youre going to come.

I also play on those severs. I have the hardest time identifying if someone is enemies or alliance.
PID is a lot of work !
Try IDing camo pattern, and gun shot reports.
You'll get it eventually !

Ya I hear ya!! I try to ID them by the camo but it's hard cuz some of the Russian stuff is almost tan brownish. Or if they wear mostly black it's hard to tell. I try to see what gun there carring
@@riotmaker650 If you play on a big enough scale ( number of players and length of time ), you should try assigning recon units early on, with the main goal being Global Intelligence, with a focus on IDing and listing number, location, look ( including camo pattern(s) used ), weapons, hierarchy, pattern of movement, capabilities, so on.
Knowing all or most of those things, and having it written down, if possible with pictures ( for camo, weapons and weapon emplacements, vehics, VIPs, POIs ) and having it on hand or memorized will help you a lot in those situations.
what video quality are you using? low or high?, I am on series S, and I am considering changing it to series X, cuz of low frame rate, it gives me 45-40 at idle, and 30-25 in fire fights. I wanna know if it will be worth the upgrade. thanks
I am on the series x and I play on performance mode not quality mode in the game. Sometimes I only get 20-30 fps because of the server itself but mostly I get 50-60 fps on arma. On cod I get 120 fps

Right now I have OG Xbox One but i wanna play Reforger so damn bad. Insurgency is dry as ***** and I 100% Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands. Like i just want something new. I am going to upgrade to new gen. So my point is, does this game run somewhat smoothly on console? Is it worth the $40
I have not personally tried it on PC but I can say on Xbox series x the game runs at 60 fps and I think the game is worth it, especially with the amount of mods that are available! Obviously depending on what server your on it might go lower than 60fps then you have server fps. What I'm saying is I've been in lobbies with PC and console at times and everyone had issues due to the server and not the console itself

How was you able to cap over 30fps on Console ?
You can get up to 60fps on Xbox series x if you go into setting and make sure your on performance mode and not quality mode. I'm not sure if you can get 60 fps if your on the series s

You can search for the server and just try and join, then it will auto download the required mods

This is the darkgru server #1, it has a large list of mods on that server that will auto download when you try and join!

How bad is the base game. The modded servers look great. Base game not so much.
I actually have 2 videos about the base arma with no mods, I suggest watching the video I have called "I was wrong!! Arma vanilla part 2". But the short answer is, the base Arma is OK but lacks a lot of content.

It was on the Darkgru server #1. Server #1 and #2 are on the same map and have the same content. Servers #4 and #5 are on a Ukrainian map I believe

This server looks boring. But i like the PVE milsim ones way more fun to me
I mean everyone likes different servers, as long as your having fun in the game that's what matters. Personally I like the PVP more than the PVE but that's just me

This is why I avoid moded servers. Bunch of keyboard warriors pretending they are special forces. I don't like modern combat because it doesn't have that Cold War Era feeling. Before there was ARMA Bohemia Interactive made game for Codemasters called Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis with two DLCS and OFP Resistance. That was fun. As soon as they released ARMA 3 with futuristic BS combat it was super boring for me. Now that they made Arma Reforger I hope they create Arma 4 with Cold War theme. Majority of the weaponry in Reforger could be easily used to recreate 90's Yugoslav war. They just have to make map of Bosnia and change uniforms. You have 3 Bosnians factions (Serbs, Croats and Bosnians) and then you have Serbs from Serbia. For international forces they Can use SFOR or IFOR. Honestly I cant believe they didn't make game about it.
I played operation Flashpoint!! That was a good game for its time. And personally I don't mind modded servers cuz I still get that milsim feel but I don't have to take it too seriously ya know.
I wish arma would make a civil war or world war 1 themed game , it would be nice to go back to boots on the ground combat instead of crazy guns with 10 attachments

If you like CWC then just play regular reforger, it’s literally a remake of operation flashpoint

This games got shit hit boxes, grenades that don’t do damage unless a foot away, team coordination, takes 7 rpgs for a btr, horrible dsync in cars, crashes, game breaking bugs… that’s just the tip of the ice burg. This game is hot trash.
The game is definitely not perfect I'll give you that. But bad games can still be fun to play
