All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
I have the ZT Elite 60 from 5 years ago with the electric lift deck. Once I sorted out some teething issues I’ve never had another problem with it. I also added a power inverter and a trailer hitch to it for 20$. Parts from TSC.
I bought the ZT Elite Limited Jan 3rd after my 21 year old Scotts 1642 developed an axle seal hydro leak. I was looking at a Hustler XDX but after comparing construction, comfort and amenities I decided on the Elite LE. I’m not one to purchase limited anything and I’ve never owned a ZT mower but the deciding factors were as follows; Kolher Confidant 747 engine, the air cleaner configuration, Interstate battery, improved battery retainer, 2” receiver, uber comfortable seat (springs plus 4 isolation mounts), thicker arm rest and although not important, the Bat Mobile black out treatment and graphics. The more obvious attributes that steered me away from Hustler and to Bad Boy, which most of you already know , 7 gauge deck, front isolation mounts, solid front tires, 2”x2” steel frame, hinged floor pan, 6.5 gal tank, dual serviceable hydros, commercial engine, rotary deck height selector and most important of ease of maintenance. BB put thought into post consumer maintainability. I was a maintenance officer for over 37 years and although I’m a ZT novice, Bad Boy’s design team put thought into the end user side of maintenance. Was the ZT Elite LE worth the extra $$? Apparently, it was to me but my mechanical back ground and maintenance officer experience tell me this mower has process control, quality and asset engineering written all over it. It’s built like a tank, manufactured and assembled by Veterans and will likely be the last mower I’ll ever buy. I’m looking forward to growing and mowing with it. Be happy in your work, Cheers!
I bought the Maverick because i weigh over 350lbs and its the only machine that had adjustability to fit me and is well built. Have had mine since last season and it's been flawless. Best part is how fast i can mow and get the job done.
Because of you, i bought a new elite, kawi powered. You know, even with my 35" inseam, the as shipped deck lift pedal was a stretch, but guess what? Badboy has 3 positions for that pedal! 2 bolts to remove, adjust it back, and perfect! Video please! Thanks so much, keep it up! I just bought my ZT Elite today, see how well it does when I hit the taller grass. I have noticed a vibration in the blades that needs to be addressed, feels like a blade is out of balance or bent, not sure yet but will have to be fixed before it damages the bearings. But I did a test run tonight when I got it home late and it was so bad it actually made my feet hurt from the vibration.
I bought my ZT elite with the Kawasaki engine 2 years ago and I’m disappointed in it that motor is a $500 upgrade and it uses oil after 2 hours of use and my ZT Elite doesn’t run 7 mph, my son bought the Spartan lawnmower that was about 4,800 and it is quicker than my 6,000 dollar over priced ZT Elite bad boy lawnmower that has no grease fittings at the wheel spindles and mandrels
I would Take it back and get another one because of the poor quality of assembly I would not want it fixed but would tell them I want another one or give you money back
After watching a bunch of TH-cam videos, I've been seeing that a lot of owners are complaining about how noisy the Bad Boy ZT ELITE is. Is this a characteristic of ALL of the engine options or just the Kohler? I think there is a lot to like about this zero turn as far as build quality but if it's really that much louder (even with ear protection) than some of it's competitors, Im a little concerned about spending $5,899 on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
There’s nothing about the ZT elite that makes it particularly louder than any other zero turn. The engine and deck is where most of the noise comes from. A Kawasaki might make a bit less noise than a Kohler so that might help a little bit.

I can't find any videos comparing 54" cut to 60" cut quality and speed, using same mower and mtr. I have a 60" elite but can't cut all out and was wondering if the 54 could cut faster and be more useful in tighter areas.
I’m thinking function is much more important than form on lawnmowers. Don’t care about graphics and sure wouldn’t be willing to pay more for them. The seat plate looked a little flimsy. Other than that nice mower and would consider it if the price is competitive.
Ya, i seen a review on the z380 and it looks really well built. Thats a tough choice. I think your getting more mower with the Elite LE. Comparing Apples to Apples the Elite LE gives you a little more stuff for the money.
The Kohler 7000 pro and Kawasaki FR engine are are built for more durability than the Briggs CXI? Hmm.. I can see maybe the Kawasaki FX series and maybe the Kohler Command, but not the two mentioned.
I’m NOT Impressed with their Welding Alignment on the front wheels at all. One side appears to be straight while the other side is definitely out of plumb or vertical.

There adjustable in speed since over time hydro wheel motors will get out track where one tire goes faster than other an has be adjusted to fix issue n mower actually go in straight line an ya if have issues with your zt elite speed can take into dealer tell them an have them adjust it to get more speed n ya may have leave with em for couple days so they can make adjustments an trust make sure it's tracking straight n ya the zt3100s have an adjustment for each wheel motor speed so of yours isn't up to par cause came set more rd 5mphs from factory an dealer didn't mess with it n ya alot customers wouldn't even know this to bring back an complaint but ya is the issue factory comes rd 5 6 mph tops prolly closer to 5 for whatever reason n would have to be adjusted to get closer to.the 7 even 9mph there rated for
At Cox Empliment i bought one for 6 something they wen5t Platnium by working on Sundays but they got told no but the Kholar actullya as good as the Kwaski an the Vanguard is a Brigg they evan iffer a Nice Honda but for 0% intrest at Cox Implamanrt is the cheapest!
This was a year several manufacturers released special edition mowers. All of them featured a Matt black powder coated deck. I think what happened was they got a really good deal on the black paints and decided to make the most of it… haha

The deck height selector alone is a standout feature compared to other brands . I love my zt elite . But the tire size definitely sucks .

They screwed up when they didn’t put the Kawasaki engine on the elite as an option. I wouldn’t buy one with any other engine.
