Right on Shane! @alex, I joined your weird online community after seeing you for the first time on that stream. Looking back at it now (and please understand: I literally know nothing about the other person involved, their past behavior, other than from what I saw that stream)... but it might be nice to reach out to him and just say ("f**k it, we are in the middle of a crazy isolation nightmare, regardless of what we think, let's put the worst of it down to utter global madness. Fish are nice, eh?" As I said above, there are situations where that's a very very bad idea, and you will obviously know best...but I'm feeling outrageously optimistic today, and you'd probably both get some closure from it!
I would probably do that if he didn't leave a pending court litigation issue... I mean the court tossed it but he insinuating he "could keep filing and make things really ugly for you (me). I've got all the money and time to fight this and you'll end up with a youtube strike too".
I'm all good from the situation. Just cruising on doing what I was doing prior to it . Life's good, lots of cool things in the works. Thanks for tuning in guys
@@Fishtory holy mother of God. Well, i am sooooo happy I put that "sometimes reaching put can be a very bad idea" qualification in my previous message. Edit: still not sure if you actually discussed this issue in the livestream (I missed it for once, haven't watched any back yet), but wow, that so crazy...and also, I am so delighted that his "case" is so utterly fangless...
in the future when im married with kids and my wife will be complaining because of how many shrimps and nano fish I have... You are the culprit Alex!.... Great content! I work at home and am currently binge watching your videos when things are idle ( I do customer support) Im already in the hunt for the caradina shrimp with the " + " sign in their backs.
@@Fishtory I would love to order some this minute, but alas, I really need to set up a couple of dedicated tanks before I even think about getting any kind of shrimp. Which is not a bad thing, considerably curbs my impulse buying, and waiting on dedicated tanks gives me time to repeatedly change my mind about which gorgeous strain I will eventually order. Lucas is judging the caradinas at Aquashella this weekend. Wish I could be there to see who all entered what, bet that's going to be amazing.
You shouldn't mix the 2 lines. About 75 to 80% of the bloody Mary lines, will cause spawns of f2 and f3 to be wild and lower and lower quality due to the mix of wild codominant genes
@@Fishtory let me rephrase - I just bought a bunch of bloodies for breeding from the local store (which is usually bomb), but I think that the supplier threw in high-grade fires to fill out the Bloody Mary order. I don’t think that all the shrimp I bought are actually bloody Marys and I’ve been on the hunt for some hard, fast rules for determining who is and isn’t. Thanks again
Ohhh. So bloody Mary's always have blood red flesh that's the entire definition (so all legs, all antennas and even under their belly ...no white or clear...its deep red. If they die...they stay red for a few hours unlike others... usually but not always ...you won't be able to see eggs or saddles at all on a bloody Mary, and usually by not always, the top of their rostrum aka nose...is cirated with little tiny tiny upturned saw blade looking notches
@@Fishtory Thanks - there’s a lot of inconsistency out there regarding what constitutes a Bloody Mary. One thing that I’m a bit confused on still is that a lot of “sources” - a generous classification for many - say that a primary characteristic is that, while being blood red, Bloody Marys are also translucent, in the same way that a blue dream would be (they’re closely related, no?). So if that’s the case, how is it that I wouldn’t be able to see eggs or a saddle? Every Bloody Mary I see for sale, even from sites like aquaticarts, has saddles visible. Color me confused! I appreciate the info!
@@RMKse oh my appologies ... I meant the other way around... painted means opaque (can't see through). The bloody Mary you can see the red flesh through the shell. Sorry, it's easy to mix up things lol I think you have it sorted now though.
I'm glad you have bumped your video quality up. Now just work on stabilizing and leveling your shots better and I think your channel really has potential of taking off! Awesome stuff otherwise, godspeed in your non Neo adventures.
Wow they are beautiful. Glad your okay after the situation with Joey.

Nah I discussed it here in comments, but I wanna stay positive and move on.
hi alex pls make this video as long as you want and cant wait to watch the shrimp video👍
Oh I'm just loving all this shrimp talk
Hehe right on. I figured I should do some shrimp focused content since it had been a long time, but I've kept breeding them this whole time

Well geeze! Thank you kindly. I hope you have fun with your addiction haha
Nice shrimp.... let me know if you want some more oddballs about to do a massive culling.
100% I always love oddball mixes. Thanks Priscilla
I have serious shrimp envy. You got some serious caradina beauties.
👍💓👍
Thanks, they're really reasonably priced at DanQuatics.com

Oh awesome plug for Danquatics, that’s where I’ve gotten mine
Hey Alex did you notice any crossbreed between your malawa and cheetah shrimps? Best Regards!
Not as of yet... I'm curious about it too though
The mischling shrimp tank would be sweet. All the varied colours and patterns ❤️
Yeah I want to set up a new shallow Rimless with wabi kusa island... and caridina in the tank
Hi Alex, I wonder was the cheetah used to make star dust shrimp? I have not seen much on the Cheetahs
I too was wondering that. They are both sold by a couple vendors (as different shrimp) but it could just be natural variation also
Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but could you lay some hard lines between fires and Bloody Marys? I’m getting a lot of conflicting info. Thx!

I found a new type of small shrimp, do you have an IG bro? I want to send a photo to you
I have alexanderjwilliamson@gmail.com
I love shrimp.
Me too! The wild caridina are so hardy... where as the bright color lines are pretty sensitive still.
It will be cool if scientists made a bioluminescent shrimp
There are some bioluminescent shrimp in the ocean...im not sure about freshwater, but I agree that it would be cool to see heh

Yeah I actually try to shoot in high def and use the gimbal when uploading, but I live stream a ton...and need to sort that end of things out better
For the algorithm!!
