Congrats on the birth of your beautiful baby! What a complex but amazing setup you have. What’s your experience with growing Monte Carlo plants particularly without pressurised CO2? Is it still achievable in a tank with ADA Amazonia soil and sufficient lighting without any CO2? I’m currently 4 weeks into growing it using the dry start method and would prefer not dosing CO2 if I can avoid it.
Right now we cycle when we add shrimp. We use live bacteria. If we want to precycle, we generally use snails or we can use Fritz fueless tank cycle product.

My only question is, i ordered 10 red cherrys btw, i got 4 who are like black/blue body with redish tails. Is it possible i got a few who arent reds? Or are those like maroons and their color will change as they molt? I want to keep my line red so if i need to separate now is the time to tell me lol

With evaporation top ups can you use de ironised water instead of ro or distilled?
