It's impossible to understand how an exhaust truly sounds through a video but believe me it sounds amazing. If you're looking for a very loud exhaust then yes, this isn't it and your set up is basically a straight pipe so it'll be loud and raspy if you like it that way all power to you. You can copy and paste a TH-cam link in a comment
Pypes M80s are the most menacing sounding straight through perferated core mufflers you can find at only $79 a muffler, Magnaflow Magnapacks are also under $80 with a similar tone to Borla S-Types but are more raspy, less professional sounding, and louder. The $200 SLP Loudmouth 2s and the $59 Flowmaster Flow FX are about equal to S-Types as far as volume but don't sound as good. SLP Loudmouth 1s, Borla ATAKs, Flowmaster Outlaws, Dynomax Mini Bullets, and Carven Rs are all basically straight pipe noise.
@@RatchetWrenches I had them all and I found out that the Flowmaster Flow FX are basically their cheaper answer to the SLP Loudmouth 2 and sound almost the same but more throatier at less than half the cost. People who like Borla S-Type but hate that $$$ should get the SSS Adrenaline catback or the louder SSS Terminator which identical to Flowmaster Outlaws. Both catbacks are under $350 with 304 Stainless Steel.
The car sounds just the way I want mine! That deep low grow, not the shitty raspy tractor sounding. Also its the perfect sound level! What cam is in your car?
I just had a muffler delete done on my 02 2v, the previous owner had 2 cats taken off before I bought it..the muffler delete just makes it stupid loud under load. As described in one of your videos awhile back. Love the content fellas🤙🤙

Glad you liked it you'll definitely love the borla s-types. Unfortunately with the EPA being more strict on the laws in the last couple years you can no longer buy a new O/R xpipe online. You'll have to buy one used or have someone custom make one for you
@@freedom8763A 5.9 Cummins has a total of 12 valves. This generation Mustang GT is commonly called the 2 valve because it has 2 valves per cylinder (1 intake, 1 exhaust) and with 8 cylinders this gives it a total of 16 valves. My 03 Cobra, for example, gets called a 4 valve. It has 4 valves per cylinder (2 intake, 2 exhaust) and with 8 cylinders makes it a 32 valve engine. It sounds stock to me sorry. My 01 2v is cammed, long tube headers, cold air intake, full cat delete and slp loud mouths out the back. The exhaust combo rips and is raspy as hell! Not sure how to share it here.
What tire and wheel combo are you running? Sizes?
Rear: NITTO NT555 G2 Ultra 315/35R17 with Deep Dish FR500 17x10.5
Front: NITTO NT555 G2 Ultra 275/40R17 with FR500 17x9
Not sure if you mentioned or not but what cam is that
Modular Head Shop's "Stage 2" N/A cam
That's a pretty damn good description of all of those not gonna lie!
How much would that cost to put in 2000 GT ?
Depends on where you go and what the hourly rates are
Nice !!!!
What are your exact cams are they comp cams
The car sounds just the way I want mine! That deep low grow, not the shitty raspy tractor sounding. Also its the perfect sound level! What cam is in your car?
It really is I think it's one of the best sounding exhausts for these 2v's. And it's Modular Head Shop's "Stage 2" cam.
How much do you want for your old exhaust I have a 99 gt no exhaust
Sorry I already sold it all last year
Yea! thats sounds really good!..
Thanks 🤘🏼
Sounds sick
Thanks 👍🏼
That sh#t bussin, mine sounds nothing like this. Granted mine still has an H pipe. All in all 10/10 love the build.
Appreciate that! We’re definitely pleased with how it sounds
I just had a muffler delete done on my 02 2v, the previous owner had 2 cats taken off before I bought it..the muffler delete just makes it stupid loud under load. As described in one of your videos awhile back. Love the content fellas🤙🤙
Sounds awesome.💯👍👍
Thank you 🤘🏼
would this work with a 4.6 f150?
I have the same question
What cam are you running on it? I've got a 2v 4.6 Expedition that needs some power.
Modular Head Shop's Stage 2
Can any one tell what they put on the new exhaust please
What do you mean "what we put on?"
Damn sounds so much better 🤘
Thanks
Sounds bad ass . 👍
I have to agree! Thanks👍🏼
Sounds exactly like the Pypes M80s I have
Nice!
Do you have any tune done to the Mustang?n
It was dyno tuned yes
@@RatchetWrenches I know you are in NJ and I also in NJ but in Bergen County and I don't think there is a tune shop for muscle car in this part of NJ.
@@ceansilorcaso5820 there are but I went to Delaware to have my car tuned
Good taste ,,
Like the Flowmasters better the snapping sound when out in the early 80s in like the old glass packs Ugh
Everyone has their preferences!!
Stock headers or long tubes?
BBK Longtubes
should fix the rust and god daym the car souns amazing
Oooo very nice very nice
Thank ya!
does the exhaust smell really bad with no cats?
Smells like America 🇺🇸 nah it doesn't to me
SLP 1ones
Too raspy
@@RatchetWrenches oh
SLP sucks. I'd like to hear your exhaust setup with an H pipe instead of the Y. I will do mine with an H. Nice video boys.
It's basically just a straight pipe they charge $400+ for, I agree. We had an xpipe but yeah H pipe will definitely give it a different tone, less raspy. Thanks
guy knows he looks like bam haha
lol we get this comment way too often how he looks like bam 🤣
@@RatchetWrenches 😂😂😂
Nice
Thanks
Hey man I love this car so much. I’m going to get the borla S type now cuz this video convinced me but where’d u get the o/r x pipe? I can’t seem to find one similar to yours.
Glad you liked it you'll definitely love the borla s-types. Unfortunately with the EPA being more strict on the laws in the last couple years you can no longer buy a new O/R xpipe online. You'll have to buy one used or have someone custom make one for you
LAR performance for o/r x pipe
Full 3" with long tubes, bassani 3" after into 4" bassani tips here, H pipe always sound better, none of that raspy crap ;|
Sounds like a solid set up and H-pipes do sound good but X-pipes are still very popular and it'll come down to personal preference
Not gonna lie with just the xpipe it was louder for some reason I don’t know why could someone explain
What does 2v mean??? Like 2 cylinders ??
2 valves per cylinder
@@RatchetWrenches so a 5.9 Cummins has 12v so what would that mean?
@@freedom8763A 5.9 Cummins has a total of 12 valves. This generation Mustang GT is commonly called the 2 valve because it has 2 valves per cylinder (1 intake, 1 exhaust) and with 8 cylinders this gives it a total of 16 valves. My 03 Cobra, for example, gets called a 4 valve. It has 4 valves per cylinder (2 intake, 2 exhaust) and with 8 cylinders makes it a 32 valve engine. You also had the "3 valve," this refers to the Mustang GT between the years 05-10. They had 3 valves per cylinder (2 intake, 1 exhaust) and with 8 cylinders this makes it a 24 valve engine.
Hope those are reps and not retail haha 😅
That's a big block
Anyone on here know where I can buy an o/r x-pipe other than shitty quality metal? Literally can’t find one anywhere. 02 gt 4.6 manual
Best luck is FB market place, eBay or Craigslist if someone is selling one. Almost impossible find new ones. You could always have a welder make you one too if you know anyone. Now will be very hard though with the material crisis going on.
Is that Bam Margera?
Yep that's me
I didnt know bam margera liked cars
😂 he loves cars
The 4.6 is the best sounding Mustang made.
Couldn't agree more!
@@RatchetWrenches This is coming from a Fox notch guy.
I'm disappointed at the lack of Bam Margera lookalike comments on here.. Car sounds good, though.
Ahahahahah there are definitely those comments on other videos but yes there should be more here 😂 thanks!
dang dude, you need to spray paint your rusty differential and floor pans, before they get worse.
Yeah I'm doing a whole refresh this winter so it'll get taken care of
don’t be shy, drop down a gear.
