I passed on your video to my grandson who is just starting to do leather work. He was talking about a knife sheath for his work knife the other day, and the way you do your video with such detail, it's perfect for him.
@ I'm happy to be of some help to you. I find making leather goods quite interesting, it helps me support my family and pursue my own passion. let's try together.
Very nice . Well made. Quality work. Your workmanship is A+. My only difference of opinion is the stitch running over the top of the welt. I view this has a weak spot.
That has to be one of the Best Looking Sheaths I’ve ever Seen I have been thinking about getting back into working Leather since I have Retired. Watching you do it you make it look So Easy but I know it’s not as Easy as you make it look. Awesome job just ran across your channel and I’m looking forward to watching Many Many More 👍
Awesome work brother,!!, I always wanted a tango style blade with sheath! Do you have a site or store where you post or list products? From your New York people peace
Yes, very nice job! Also, the stitch over the sheath edge can get worn away quite easily! I know from my own experience! I would have preferred and off white beige colored thread! But, that's just me! 🤔👍😁
Do you mean the mini drill that makes holes for sewing? I made that drill myself from an old engine removed from my son's toy car. I convinced my son with a new toy 😂
@Nguyenvietphuong10266 are you serious? Man don't sell that for $15. I'd say $100 minimum. $15 is in no way worth it. Probably have more than that in materials.
I use 2mm thick veg leather, with a 5mm thick anti-cut layer inside. The total thickness of the holster is 10 mm. I have tested the safety and impact resistance many times . Thank you so much.❤️
Lined with chrome tan leather? After a quick Google Search .... "Chrome tan leather can potentially corrode steel, but not through a traditional rusting process....instead, the concern is with the chromium salts used in the tanning process. These salts can migrate to the surface of the leather, creating a corrosive environment that can damage or corrode nearby steel objects. This is evident from the user experiences shared in the search results, where chrome tan leather was found to corrode steel sheaths and knives."
S125V steel is capable of achieving quite high hardness, about 66 HRc when properly heat treated. This steel has a hardness “when quenched” at 400°F. The following hardness values are obtained from heat treating small coupons by austenitizing for 20 minutes, plate quenching, cooling with liquid nitrogen and tempering twice for two hours each. S125V is even more difficult to machine. This type of steel was difficult to produce in the first place, so basically, from start to finish, no one liked working with it. It is used almost exclusively in custom knives and not many are made. This steel has become a bit more popular among Russian custom knives, as they are clearly more interested in highly wear-resistant stainless steel and mirror-polished finishing treatments. . The leather inside has been tempered with canola oil. leading to almost zero knife rust. -For someone who loves knives, they take very good care of their knives. Thank you for discussing this issue so that we, the craftsmen, can better perfect our products.
The knife sheath is made up of 2 layers of leather. The inner leather layer has been treated with a layer of canola oil before. and the knife will be cleaned of oil regularly after each use, resulting in maximum corrosion reduction. Thank you so much.

@ That's right, the drill I built from a 775 motor and runs on 12 to 24w voltage is quite strong. compact
Зачем не делаете двойной шов в конце и нить не прячете?
Thank you for your comment, this leather cover will stretch towards the handle, so I sewed the top of the cover closed, to prevent it from unraveling.

The knife is called pukko with steel with a hardness of 80crv
congratulations on the videos how many millimeters thick is the skin?
Thank you for watching my video. Veg cowhide and goatskin lining inside. Overall thickness 4mm.
OUTSATNDING! Did you remove some leather inside the sheath before you folded it?
I understand, I shortened that.
@@Nguyenvietphuong10266 thank you for taking the time to reply to my question.
