Try it on Linux, I made an old “gaming” laptop I got for free from a friend that boots straight into Xbox. There’s a couple YT videos I had to watch to get it going but I love it my nephew has it now. It’s on LinuxMint it runs stupid smooth much better than when it was on windows
Took 3 days to get mine mocked up, b550 itx, 4060 lp, and a 400watt apevia flex psu. Had to mesh the left top for thermals, but finally got the damn thing to work perfect. And extra 120 intake on right fan shroud pushes all the heat out the left. The i/o and back is still killing me (ugly) but dremel time and measuring should pretty it up
I wonder if it's possible in future to make xbox series s run windows 11 or even linux, I know currently no one has found a way to jailbreak it but I'm just asking if it's possible in future or not
Good video, earned a sub! A bit of info tho about the fps count on the xbox one and its games, most games run fine at 60fps like CoD, R6Siege, and Fortnite. Also for dark souls I get 60fps on my xbox one that I still have. Maybe its the type, like One X, One S, or just the normal One but still cool what you did either way!
Thank you much appreciated! Yeah seems like it depends on the game. I’ve seen other videos of people benchmarking dark souls 3 at 30fps on the original Xbox one, but perhaps the one s or one x can bump it’s performance to 60.
Yeah someone else mentioned that too. I think it depended on the game. I saw some other videos of dark souls 3 being benchmarked at 30fps but I’m sure most games could hit 60
I’ll consider it! Would you be interested to see a better power supply and/or actual gpu? Maybe I could even learn to solder and get the Xbox power button to work 😬
That’s what it seems like. Madden I can see running at 60 fps whereas I’ve seen videos of dark souls 3 being benchmarked at 30fps. Keep in mind this is the original Xbox one, not the one s or one x
After looking at it I think so it has SATA and data connection I was curious because I'm doing the same build and was considering mounting in a power supply vs keeping the disk drive and saving space
Windows 11 on Xbox one 💀
Crazy right 😂
@@PetesParts16yea I did not know u comment lol
*In an Xbox one
I'm proud to announce that you are now my new "morning cereal time" channel! Great video.
YES! I was hoping I’d be someone’s “morning cereal time” channel 😂 thanks for stopping by!
awesome video mate! honestly thought i was watching a big youtubers content so awesome work!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words
This was a really cool video and idea. Got me Wondering/thinking, I bet you would have good luck putting laptop internals in the Xbox case
That’s an interesting idea! Giving me ideas for a follow up video… 🤔
@@PetesParts16 would love to see it be done!!
Series s/x launch 4 years ago and i got xb1 last year im still using and im happy with it lol

What i would like to see is connect 3 in 1, xbox one pc and xbox x into one and see how it reacts
He basically use the xbox one case to build a PC, this is bullshit 😂😂😂
Yes that is exactly what I do
Its called a sleeper pc look it up
Looks like game performance worse than actual xb1
my x box one still works so its intresting seeing the inside of it
Yeah it was a little tricky to take apart honestly! There are other videos out there of people taking it apart step by step if you’re interested

WOW that sounds awesome! Would love to see that if possible
@@PetesParts16 wont let me upload pics or google drive for some reason.

Video I was looking for couple months ago, always want to convert my xbox into an pc but the funds
Give it a shot! You can definitely do it with cheaper/used parts too.
@@PetesParts16 Yea, I will
Yo thats awesome!
I want to try this but don’t want to replace the mother board how do I take the cpu off
Xbox One did not "cap it's games at 30 fps.".

really good video man keep up the work
Thank you! Appreciate it
Awesome video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! Much appreciated
Please make a part two.
I’ll consider it! Would you be interested to see a better power supply and/or actual gpu? Maybe I could even learn to solder and get the Xbox power button to work 😬
Um the Xbox one gets 60 fps and is capped at it not 30
depends on what game you play on the xbox, alot of the AAA games ran at 30 fps on the xbox one
That’s what it seems like. Madden I can see running at 60 fps whereas I’ve seen videos of dark souls 3 being benchmarked at 30fps. Keep in mind this is the original Xbox one, not the one s or one x
Always had this question
Thanks for stopping by!
Nice work my man!
Heeey, thanks for checking out my other channel lol! Appreciate it man 👍
Sure thing man! Didn't even know it existed until today lol
Great video. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
How much 😭
This is epic
Thank you!
Can you use the original xbox disc drive? I absolutely have to know
I didn’t even attempt to try. It may be possible but I honestly don’t even know if it would be compatible.
After looking at it I think so it has SATA and data connection I was curious because I'm doing the same build and was considering mounting in a power supply vs keeping the disk drive and saving space
This video deserves more views tbh
Thanks appreciate that!
Wow this is brilliant thanks man
Thanks for watching!
you don’t pin me😢
I will
