Linkus7 is a natural at public speaking and entertaining the crowd. Everytime you watch his runs he explains everything so clearly while doing hard tricks and also telling jokes, the guy is top notch.
When it comes to this game, Linkus7 is truly a masterclass at both speed and commentary Such a delight to watch this! Those who caught this LIVE were so lucky!
i absolutely love how he explains everything he does so even non speedrunners can understand all while doing the craziest tricks and glitches where you really have to focus
Just for clarification, that Superswim tech that Linkus does at 6:00 is basically ridiculously hard and he makes it look easy. It's also the entry trick that anyone in this category has to do within the first 5 mins.
He talks about it briefly, but that's not entirely true. There is a much easier version of it using pause buffering, and it's pretty normal to start there. It's significantly slower, but when you are just learning the run, the time save isn't as important. It is something you have to learn if you want to go for good times or WR though, and is ridiculously hard lol
I've been watching Linkus for so long it's amazing how much passion and love fans have for a game so old. The speedruns are getting quicker it's beautiful.
Naming things Luigi got so funny recently. We should insure we have more names that get funny for the same reason. 2025: Year of Suddenly Popular Names
Linkus7 is such a positive guy with just the most friendly attitude. But do NOT be fooled by this man, he is an absolute savage of a runner with some absolutely mad skills. Mad respect to you and your community Linkus!
Watching this and seeing all of the donations come in from gamers that have grown with GDQ, and sharing it with their children is something my heart wasn’t ready for. The next generation of gaming is in good hands. Thanks for uploading everything. Love seeing all of the generosity and love being shared. Keep gaming friends, and to the little ones watching with their parents. … you have no idea how much you mean to the community. Amazing.
I remember having this as a kid...I had the sail in my inventory on the first island...but I sailed all the way across the ocean without equipping it...spent like an hour cursing on what they did to the new Zelda game. What an idiot lol....I also did the water temple in Ocarina without even realizing there was a water tunic..that was difficult
In Majora's Mask, I used to swim by pressing A repeatedly, like in Mario 64. I beat the whole game like that (including the turtle dungeon), except for the beaver race. Spent hours on it over several days, never managed to win, cursed the game and finally gave up. Only learned the correct way to do it a couple years later, by a friend in high school.
Wind Waker! I remember when we thought any% was dead for this game, but look at it now! Linkus7 is such a great runner, I always watch his runs on GDQ. Awesome job, everyone!
I've been watching GDQ Wind Waker runs since Narcissas run in 2013. What a journey. And great to see, how many glitches, that she dreamed of back then, are now done by this talented swedish chap
Wow, I was wondering why YT had recommended me Linkus’s AGDQ 2022 speedrun. Then it made sense with this vid 😂 also makes sense how linkus recently showed the whole strat on stream and later a YT vid
It's GDQ Time! Linkus yess! I didn't realize how long it's been. That's amazing Linkus! Married, moved to us and thriving! Good to hear it, I am really glad :) just a fan of the events when I found Linkus years back so that's cool to see him back.
My favourite thing about Linkus7 is he learned to speak English (and without a noticeable accent mind you) by literally watching English TV and Movies. Natural and based entertainer - one of the best!
No but people have no idea how crazy it is Linkus got it on the first try. So many resets are just from messing up that first super swim. Such a fun run!
Absolutely incredible, what a run! Two glitch questions: Does anyone know why the pirate who lifts the girl at 33:07 is invisible? And why Zelda is standing eerily at 53:36?
The manual super swim at the beginning of the run skips the cutscene that spawns Gonzo, so Aryll just levitates out. Zelda is vibing in the Puppet Ganon room because the bomb void out skips the cutscene that both spawns the boss and puts her in the bed
It probably says something about me, but when Link is doing the sword swings to climb up at th-cam.com/video/GbR_QqEGBcM/w-d-xo.html, I can only only hear "Fuck, yeah, fuck, yeah, fuck yeah".
It really depends on the person, I personally would say Gamecube, but if you want the most streamlined version the Wii-U is better since they changed the Triforce hunt people disliked.
@@VikaVikingWoodWork Wii U is better casually in pretty much every way. Depends on what you have easier access to though. Wii U, a GameCube, or Dolphin
GDQ will always be superior than all the others for many reasons. But the biggest is that they actually put the runs on TH-cam in a reasonable time after they are performed live.
Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 is live right now! www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick/
Crazy how since Linkus last did a run at GDQ he’s gotten engaged, married, moved to the US, bought a house. Congrats Linkus!
Good for him, but also what a wild time to show up in the US.
Now he gets to suffer with the rest of us in this country. Wouldn't call that a flex.
Oh really
@@JayHankEdLyon Guess it's his calling, ever since I saw the first video of him, I thought he's vibes were 100% American and 0% Scandinavian.

Honestly I was thinking the same exact thing! It feels so natural for him and he manages to feel crowd-inclusive and engaging the whole time as well!

@@Rin_404 his speedrun explanations while he goes through the tricks ingame are insane! To me they were a great introduction into speedrunning.

Funniest part about it is that because he does the manual super swim so much it's built up a ridiculous amount of muscle in that arm.
He talks about it briefly, but that's not entirely true. There is a much easier version of it using pause buffering, and it's pretty normal to start there. Linkus is so great in explaining everything very detailed and still being entertaining.
agreed mate - he's got the perfect balance. i can think of very few others who can do the same in this genre
I see linkus at gdq, I click.
Incredible how you can commentate and run simultaneously so well 🐐
cant wait for zfg
Same
Linkus giving the barrier skip instructions is giving spongebob "TECHNIQUEEEEEE" energy
The Beetle impressions are amazing and I love the energy of the audience
Linkus did a great job I loved the way he explained everything
RIP Pausa at GDQ!
I've been watching Linkus for so long it's amazing how much passion and love fans have for a game so old. The speedruns are getting quicker it's beautiful.
Start of 2025 and we already have linkus7 speed running windwaker at AGDQ. This just keeps getting better and better.😁👍👍

Luigi is my favorite Nintendo character. I'm glad he's finally getting the respect he deserves.
You've seen Tool Assisted Speedruns but that was a Nose Assisted Speedrun
You are a blessing to the gaming community Linkus.
He is the GOAT!
Oh wow, I forgot it was GDQ

Linkus has come such a long way, I remember when he was first starting out. So glad he's still keeping up with WW!
Super swimming without pausing!?!? Linkus has become too powerful!! Great job!!!

So you just had to do all the underwater segments against a timer? That sounds so stressful lol

Oh yesssssss Linkus ! Years of seeing your videos, so glad to see you at GDQ 🙏 cheers from France mate !
Goes to show how insane Linkus is, considering the horrible luck at the start, still gets under estimate.
YES Linkus bummed i missed this run at work today but enjoying it with a glass of wine at home now. He commentates so well I love watching his runs
A great run. I don't watch a lot of speedruns, but this one kept me captivated throughout.
Was so awesome to see this live! Thank you Linkus7!
I can watch this guy over and over again in this game. Always a delight to see him do these glitches. It never gets old

Speedrunning and detailed elaboration of the techniques from the runner. what else could you ask for?
Not the Luigi file name ✨️

Love seeing a speedrun of this in the new year spn after finishing my let's play of this game. :)
I dont even need to see the video to know he absolutely crushed it.
Hey babe, wake up, linkus destroyed windwaker again
