so the best korean bbq is 6 mins from my house... ty mike u opened my eyes *bows to you* i am going to check out kang ho dong baekjeong sometime soon ty for the information and all
i love it when my mom made this soup. and another favorite thing to do with the leftover soup is to use it as broth for ramen. instead of 2 cups of water, i used one cup of ox bone soup and 1 cup of water
Started watching at work ... Started drooling and then got told off for watching the most delicious meats and bbq .... So I showed the boss and now the boss keeps messaging me saying ... OMG have you seen this upload ... And I just smile and go ... Oh yeah ........ 💕
For people who live in LA, Baekjeong has been consistently the best KBBQ spot for regular dining. The top of the line is Park's, which can cost you a pretty penny but worth it if you're celebrating a special occasion.
this was one of the best videos i've seen from your channel. I love the ramen and hot pot adventures... also you cant beat the local traveling ones but this was epic
I grew up eating that beef soup made by my grandma and it is just the most satisfying bowl of soup you can put in your mouth. That place you went to is really good but no oxtail soup which sucks
There's something about a good soup that just hits you from the inside and takes you to heaven lol. It has to have that amazing mouth feel, where it coats the inside of your mouth with flavor and softness so much you can still taste it and dream of it a few hours later. Umami.... Umami is so good lol.
love watching your videos! Suh lung tang is traditionally served without seasoning, so there's a bowl of salt at your table so you can season to taste :)
@@RACHELLEflo True! I do make it a lot, and it tastes great. I love me some bone broth. Its really simple, but I rarely find a restuarant that takes the time to make it really good. It's usually too weak to be considered great for my taste. Edit, I should state I'm in the US. It seems more common in other countries.
There’s a sul lung tang restaurant like this in Chicago, and I always feel bad, but I load it up with chili, salt, and the juice from the kimchi so that my soup is red. It’s both hearty and bland without it, but with some of that acidity and salt, it’s so good.
Katrina F It’s Lawrence and California in Lincoln Square-ish? It’s called Han Bat and it has its own parking lot, which is a plus. The lady isn’t the nicest, ha, but if you go in with low service expectations, it’s great. Cash only. Comes with some banchan.
Your videos motivated me to get out of my comfort zone and start investing doing different stuff cause I really want to experience this things, eat those foods and travel... looks like really living
So great to see you made it to LA! If you're still in town and want to try an AYCE KBBQ restaurant, I highly recommend Brothers BBQ in K-Town. While I agree that Baekjeong is the best non-AYCE KBBQ restaurants, Brothers is by far the best AYCE. They have a happy hour starting at 9:00 PM (I know, kinda weird), but it drops the highest tier, which has all of the best cuts and includes amazing naengmyeon for $10 less, or $50. Hope you can check it out, and thanks for another super fun vid! Enjoy your time in LA, Mike!
The Milky beef 🍖bone soup 🍲 look so delicious and the korean Bbq with the bulgogi wrapped in seaweed looked divine ..Thank you 🤗so much for sharing when ever I watch your videos I am hungry hehe..x💖🤗
Mike, do the restaurants let you eat for free? I hope so, you’re sacrificing your arteries and bringing in thousands of eaters in these restaurants. Your reviews are priceless.
Yo Mike Chen good to see you in Los Angeles doing another food review on Korean BBQ and OX Tail soup. The grilled BBQ is good to try, OX Tail Soup looks pretty interesting especially when the weather gets colder around Christmas. Alright man awesome food review in Los Angeles, see you on the next food review video.😎😎🙂🙂👌👌✌✌👍👍🍖🍖🍖🍖🥩🥩🥩🥩🥘🥘🥘🥘🍲🍲🍲🍲🍜🍜🍜🍜🥢🥢🥢🥢🥤🥤🥤🥤
“This is my favorite Chinese tongue in motion balls weather sesame or lowness or penis stuffed inside going to get one of these and a soufflé pancake every time I come”
I guess you have to pay a premium if you want good food ..that's like +$50 for breakfast 😲 definitely stopping by Kang Ho Dong the next time I'm in LA ..thanks Mike 👍
lol just the bowl of soup (and plenty of rice) is more than enough for us "normal" eaters... i wouldn't dream of ordering a plate of souyuk *just* for myself. that's a crazy amount of beef!
I am so happy you posted this today. We will be in LA next week for my daughter's 13th birthday and Korean & Japanese are her favorite foods. We will definitely put a couple of these on our "places to eat"
My mom usually used beef bone to make the soup broth. Then on new year we all eat Tteokguk (Korean Rice Cake soup) is usually my favorite soup to eat. I’ve also eat other korean food but home made by my own mother.
Cannot wait to hear about the Japanese sandwich shop you found near the Redmond WA area. My lady and I have been to a couple locally and I was disappointed to say the least.
I don’t watch your videos bc I wanna know where is good to eat . I watch because I love you man, and bc I like to torture myself , I only eat when I watch , and I only watch your channel when I eat ;) you do such a good job at what you do :) thanks for your hard work shout outs to you Miley and your stomach :D
Wow the best Korean BBQ in the US man that has to be top notch coming from the food god - thanks brother for another great food adventure while at home lol
Hands down the best place to eat seolleongtang. The cuts of meat they serve used to scare non-asians but I see a lot of people that aren't korean go there often nowadays.
Mike, next time you're in Minneapolis, you *_have_* to check out this hole-in-the-wall family-run place called *Korea Restaurant* near TCF Stadium on the U of M campus. Yes, the name is so on-the-nose you'd think it can't be good, but this is where all the Asian ex-pat students go. Especially in winter - they have really good soup for not a lot of money. While the _banchan_ is neither generous nor stingy, the recipes are solid. I'm a particular fan of the seafood _pajeon_ while my wife likes to try everything but that (she can't handle the visuals from the octopus in it). Seriously, check it out next time you're in the area.
I was just in LA! You need to try the pork combo....it is amazing and the pork jowl is unlike any other I promise you!! You'd be missing out if you don't try it!
My god, why is Korean food so good?!? Especially the meat! Wowee. Every part of my body craves it even more than wagyu beef. Now I just gotta try that ox bone soup, sounds like a Nobel Peace Prize contender. Love you Mikey!
The pure joy look he gives the serving staff when they give him food is goals.

At 7:57 I hear Blackpink Whistle

Ya, but you have to spend 50 bucks to start your day off.................. sigh .

Better deal than $50 for sushi the portion of your palm or $35 for a single plate of 'fancy' Italian dishes
that place is so expensive omg 😭😭
which one do you usually go to? ive been looking for a good kbbq for a while

Ox bone soup always had been my comfort food. It reminds me my grandma everytime.
John Green because she always had a bone to pick with you ? 😎
The best part of waking up is beef stew in your cup 😁🙏
