I have been a loyal follower for at least 5 months now (old and new channel) and love the way you create your content a lot of info about local places and the way you interact with the philipinos. Some floggers admit they can only do a flog like once or twice a week because of all the work they need to create a single flog but with you it seems so easy. I'm sure it's just a matter of time you will get the 100k👍
Im sure you will get there mate you make great content and i llike how you shoot in 4k.. i recently upgraded my Dell monitor partly so i can enjoy podcasts/vloggers like yourself capturing the beauty of the world :)
Michael I first discovered Eastwood City when you did your first video there. It was actually life changing for me. I stayed there for 18 days in November and plan to make it my first place to move when I retire at the end of the year. I loved the place ! Thanks for the lead! One thing I really liked about Eastwood City is the restaurants were never so packed that you had to wait for a table. Thanks for the vid.
I can’t recall from the prior Eastwood video, did M&B show a grocery store? Saw the plaza public market in this one & im sure there are more Manila area public markets, but does Eastwood have a grocery store say in the mall like that Iloilo mall?
@STEVENSCOTTFERGUSON. Ty for the prompt reply🙂. Of course, it wouldn’t be the well planned area it is without easy access to groceries. Congrats on ur retirement relocation🌇
This part of the city is so well planned out! Not many developing countries invest in good welcoming architecture where you can walk by tons of restaurants. It is a happy mix of offices, residents and retail. Well done Philippines!!
they're building something like bgc or bigger than bgc somewhere in the provinces of tarlac & pampanga,i think it's not far from angeles city ..... they called it new clark (green) city, something like that ..... I'm not sure if they're already started building it .....
Michael that food looked fantastic. I love exotic food and am always willing too try food that most people would not. Another great video. The city is so neat and clean.keep it up and bring us more good videos.have fun brother.
Wow, I'm 8 minutes in and I'd never heard of Eastwood City before - that looks like a very nice place to live. Lipa City looked nice as well on your last video - I was watching that one before it transitioned into this one. Congrats to your friends daughter on being at the Naval Academy! That's quite an accomplishment. Okay - back to your video. Thank you for showing us around.
Enjoy your day guys to our beautiful country Philippines. It's nice to look at and beautiful everywhere cheap and affordable. The food is delicious and affordable. So enjoy and explore more videos guys. Watching u from Cairo, Egypt originally from Davao City the Philippines.
That looks like a very nice area. Your friends condo looks really nice with some great views. I noticed about 3 shops selling vintage items so not a good place for me to go lol. The food looked great. Would love to try that beer.
Thanks for the walking tour of Eastwood City. Love it! I rented a condo there at One Central Park for 3 months and loved living there because like you wrote, everything is within 15 minute walk. I was able to walk safely even past 12am and eat at restaurants. I found a great church there called Eastwood Christ Commission Fellowship where I made instant friends in my first visit. I went back to the US in 2012 to reconcile with my husband after a 2 year separation. God made a way for us to be back together after being on the brink of divorce (no 3rd party involved) I hope to visit Eastwood City in July, this time with my husband. He became a Christ follower in 2021 so we now have a spiritual connection. If I have a choice, I'd buy or rent a condo there but he prefers less crowded places so we're looking at buying a home near Alabang. We plan on building a small vacation home near Vigan in 2026. You're welcome to stay in our future place in the Philippines when we move there in 2025. Take care Michael and God bless! :) Praying for God's best for you! May you get to know Jesus in the near future. John 3:16😊🙏
I lived in NYC in Astoria its the best city in the world nothing can match its energy i wish i could tour you around mike especially the Hudson yards and battery park city in Manhattan . My wife worked in one of the call centers and lived in eastwood city before we got married . I met her first in 2018. I would always book a condo or stay at the Richmond hotel . We would frequent the Denny's next to the hotel. She loves NYC now and I love Boracay .
Now this is where i want to live in the PI...or on the beach. i love it! i have been watching these PI videos for a couple of years and i have never seen this part of the PI. It is so modern and just like the West. i hate dark nights. i like to be able to walk around in different lights as it is cooler in the evenings to enjoy eating out in restaurants. Unfortunately i can't afford to live here.
well, you can go to some provinces ,there's some towns,/cities that isn't touristy with white some beaches ..... like bantayan island in cebu province or there's a town in bohol,it's called anda, it's not touristy yet compare to panglao island,or tubigon town, cuz it's so close to cebu city,it's only one hour ride from small ferry,if you're tired of the small town vibe & you wanna explore big city .. anyway, I think you'll survive there with your $2K or your $3K,if you avoid big cities .....
Wow, quite a place! $3 to $5k is cheap compared to Dubai! Rent alone costs more here, lol! The area itself is on a comfort level of Dubai from what I can see...Nice! I still prefer the smaller provincial areas in The Philippines (this holds true no matter where I happen to be laying my hat down, actually)...Nice to visit one of these areas, and leave again. I can see that young people would like something like this though... 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍
Eastwood is a very cool spot to be at if moving to the Philippines. It seems like it would be perfect for any westerner to get acclimated before moving to other parts of the Philippines.
Oh wow you're in Eastwood! It is beautiful there and so close to our condo. If we knew, we will invited you to stay in our condo. New subscriber here, we've been watching your vlogs everyday. Goodluck and enjoy more beautiful places in the philippines.
Stayed in a condo on the southern entrance road to Eastwood----magnificent condo with a balcony----5 minutes walk to the centre of Eastwood with a trike line and plenty of street food right at the entrance to Eastwood proper---so many worker flood out of there at night and eat cheap. Night life in Eastwood is fantastic----very colourful, very vibrant. Only thing wrong with Eastwood is trying to leave there at the heavy traffic times on EDSA, but you learn and adjust
Good work Mike, I’m enjoying your travel vlogs! Sure it’s not easy going through a divorce! But you keep a optimistic outlook on life, that Philippines life!
I hope the Philippines don't go too far into modernization because it's a downfall if you start building all these cities with everything in it then people stop having children in small apartments then you end up with the problems like what China's facing right now with the labor shortage and all the children they thought they had well the one child policy turns out they over counted by hundreds of millions of people that should be working that don't even exist I hope they do it more like how the United States did it you have your big cities then your suburbs and then your rural areas and make sure that your population will continue to grow
Really glad you expressed the "pet friendly" aspect of the area. Having dealt with the irresponsible pet owners in my experiences over the years, knowing the area is known for it's pet activities I can just avoid it! Thanks!
I have mixed feeling about these planned cities built by corporations. On one hand, it allows Filipinos to experience an environment that's clean, well organized with good infrastructure. On the other hand, it's like living in Disneyland. It's also at the exclusion of many Filipinos who don't have money and therefore can''t get the experience. Bigger picture, this lets the government off the hook as far as providing good governance for all its citizens. Also, when corporations are so huge and powerful as to own whole communities, they'll never be held accountable for any misconducts.
Nice feature and I actually prefer Eastwood, Greenhills and Ortigas Center/Capitol Commons over BGC…(like many locals) as place to hang out (but not live there). BGC, i only go there once in a while… That Italian restaurant is good (it would not have lasted for so long if it isn’t) thought haven’t been there for ages. I also recommend Francesco’s for Italian food in Manila.
Dang, I just fell in love with Eastwood City but unfortunately I already made a commitment for a province in my girlfriend's town. Oh well, that does not mean I cannot visit in the future. I was born in New York and this is a close resemblance to it, only cleaner. Wow. This was one of your best vlogs. Just subscribed.
Bro i love Eastwood. I was there in September-October. That girl will realize NY isn't that great anymore. Maybe good for visiting not worth staying. But Eastwood, I'd say good for long term stays. Looking forward to going back.
$3 to $4 thousand is the rent for a 1 or 2 bedroom in Toronto and yes, Canada is easier to get in now thanks to our PM 🙄. Great video Michael. Eastwood is a gem! Looking forward to Makati
wow, nice city with all the amenities you would need. was wondering if living in eastwood would be better than in cebu IT park area. however, my condo budget is on 25k per month, fully furnished. is that possible there.
I’m new to your channel and I appreciate your low-key approach. I’m curious about that “No Recording” sign on the store at 19:27 . Seems like there’s an awful lot of PI vloggers. Are the locals getting fed up with them?
The record store? (I saw it on editing) #1 in all my 2 years of vlogging I have.omly.seen 2 others out an about ever. #2 I don't get why free advertising is bad but Indo understand when you are selling illegal Nikes in a store you might not like the recording. Cubao, specifically Araneta Center, was actually among the first modern commercial shopping centers in Metro Manila. They even have one of the oldest malls in PH - Ali Mall (built in 1976) - named after Muhammad Ali because that's also where Araneta Coliseum is located. Araneta Coliseum (nicknamed "The Big Dome") is where "Thrilla in Manila" was held in 1975 (Ali vs. Frazier). Araneta Coliseum was also the largest dome in Asia from its opening in 1960 until 2001 when it was surpassed by the Ōita Stadium in Japan. (Thanks Wikipedia, lol.)

They were cool and fun to talk to but I'm there with friends
Totally! That pretty girl in white top was definitely into Michael. Her body language and head tilt gives it away
