Zelle scams on the rise

- Authorities say con artists are preying on those who use the cash transfer app Zelle, as it has no way to get money back after you make a transaction. According to experts, scammers are turning to Facebook Marketplace to scam people out of their money. FOX 5 NY's Chris Welch has the story.

These scams are obvious. Just don’t send money to random strangers
What if u stop using zelle because u closed your account then later you get a text alert from zelle and realize the sender meant to send a payment to the person's venmo instead?
What should be done in a situation like that?
They offer send money for an item IN FULL they have not seen. Does that makes sense? I dont think they are scamming younger people.
My parents Bank uses zelle as an officially issued card... I smell more scams than one
When I sell, it’s only on Facebook market. And I ALWAYS put cash only
I don't use any smartphone apps that deal with finances or banking. It's like asking for trouble to do so.
They can still get to your account
If any don't second guess things mostly involving money their at fault. but not saying any should but *WERE ALREADY TRACKED DAILY* from the apps and websites so come on!
I just got ripped off when the guys payment never came through but he left with the item said payment pending

Covid end paperless payments like money order or pay by check
When selling, i always ask for a USPS money order, only. When shipping , use confirmation which you can buy at the PO. IF THE PERSON REALLY WANTS WHAT YOUR SELLING, THEY WILL COMPLY. This is the old boomer way😁👌😂🐲
TELL FB TO USE SAME SYSTEM AS OFFER UP. OFFER UP DOESNT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS..
SUBNOTE: if they offer to zelle you money first before meeting up, its a scam
