Wondering about that purple ruby? The light arrows cause enemies to drop those. A pity you only get those at the end of the game. Also Ganon's second attack is countered by charging your sword and deflecting them back to their source.

For the big ball attack of ganaon all you need to do is just do a spin attack with your sword
