  • This is the second talk of a series of talks that were given in the second international training day organised by Hampshire hospitals on the 12th of July 2023 under the theme of "Clinical Experience, Research, Education, The Triad of Power".
This talk was given by me, covering 3 different cases, none of them presented to ED with ST elevation in their ECGs, but all of them triggered the question of "Do we really need to activate the cath lab now for emergency PCI?"
I have the recording of the day but I found a higher quality recording for the same talk as it is part of "From zero to hero in ACS ECG course", so here we go.
The talk will be presented over 3 parts, This is the 3rd part of it.
I hope you find this useful.

What is a Transient STEMI? I had one ,still trying to figure out was it actually a heart attack or just a blip. I was stented immediately as it was LAD artery.

I think the fact that you had a stent inserted means that it was actually a heart attack.
There are different reasons for having transient STEMI (like Wellens syndrome, vasospastic angina, etc).
The diagnosis happens depending on the clinical presentation, investigation results, and sometimes after getting the cath lab results.
I hope that this makes sense
