The hellhound was the stuff of legends! I imagine the driver reaching back and opening a few valves to flood the cab with promethium. WITNESS ME BROTHERS!
Norn Emissary was more of a legend.

As someone who tries to shoehorn my Malcador into all my lists, I approve.
That's an "Arkurian" pattern Stormblade. The Ryza pattern is the one Forgeworld sells, which has some flatter surfaces, some sharper angles, and fewer rivets. I think the Ryza pattern is also the pattern of the Stormblade model FW produced for Epic 40k as well.

This is also my first time playing nids so apologies if I missed a few bits.
That was a great game and it’s always good to see people having fun with the Norns. Next time you play an Assimilator, try him from strat reserves. Arriving 9” from a flank enemy, harpooning for a 6” charge means less chance of getting hit and more chance of nuking his singular purpose. How did you find the Nids?

I'm not sure what the Tyranids player was going for here with his list or his strategy. Nids need a lot more screening and move shenanigans

Take cover doesn't work on units with better save than 4+.. but seeing guard is always nice. Stubber on Basilisk is also rather odd..

You cannot obtain a save better than 3+ utilizing this strategy so if your a 4+ in cover your already at 3+ and it wouldnt work 😉

scions have 2 attacks per cc weapon, and you can take a power fist per 5 could have made a difference against that norn

Also Basilisks don't have heavy stubbers/stormbolters
I am sure that if you have a character attached to another unit, that unit is then the body guard unit and the body guards need to be dead before you can allocate wounds to your character.
Hellhound has a 2+ save so it would have been 5s against ap 3 :D

Some Guard things!
1) Basilisks can't take heavy stubbers or storm bolters!!
2) Hellhounds have a 2+ save, not a 3+ save

As someone looking to get into the game and planning on doing so with a Nid army, seeing them get steamrolled like this was a bit disheartening. Did this just boil down to army comps or are Nids really just this weak?
I would have lost my mind if i was the nid player in this game.
how can that super heavy larger tank shoot guns on right side to hit guy on his left. do to fact guns or turrets do not have in line of sight or can see if looking out to shoot something.
Don't matter, you measure by the model. There is no guns line of sight in this game that would be super annoying and slow. The models represent the field of battle on a deminished scale.
Before the whole revamp, back in the day, you had arcs for your guns. You also had blast templates instead of having to role for the amount of hits.

@@khorneberserker Blast templates were kinda cool i think. As a D&D player it's fun to measure your fireballs and cones and whatnot to maximise damage

33:00 just ruined the game for me... :( You roll charge for Norn, than you move unit. You roll for Swarmlord unable to possition him there.
But this bulshit "If I would have known what I would roll for Swarmlord, he goes first in".... is utter bulshit and it defeats purpouse of the game....
