A correction that I don't wanna ignore, as an animation student who's taken a preproduction management class and done their own research into how concept art works @ 1:54 The more 3D-esque image seems to just be the artist having a stronger skillset of making their concept art 3D compared to the more 2D digital painting, especially after scrolling through their artstation page (Jared Krichevsky) The 2D artist who drew a similar sequence seemed to be just doing a digital painting with the approach being intended for 3D/CG, especially when comparing Sponge Out Of Water's concept art, looks very similar to the concept art of the characters in the real world and not when they're only in Bikini Bottom/across time and space. I think it's safe to assume Spongebob 3 would've always been 3D/CG...or maybe just like Klaus??? But again, good as heck video (I wonder what we'll see in the future of this channel?)

These would’ve been great and much better than what we got, the alien cat one would’ve been awesome. Also, the Sponge on the Run Novelization which came out back in 2020 right when covid hit and the movie was delayed was based on an earlier script of the movie and followed the format of starting the movie at Camp Coral and also referenced the “Things Go Better with Friends” song. The scene of SpongeBob and Patrick dressing up was also described in that book. Also, the ending is completely different from the final movie and SpongeBob and the gang escape Poseidon and there’s no resolution to his character like in the movie.
I actually really like the ideas behind the cat aliens version of the story, minus the real life celebrities, politics, and slightly contrived "Garry is an alien prince from another planet that was destroyed" thing. I wouldn't have minded if they maybe worked on that pitch and shaved it down to something simpler that still had Spongebob dealing with his nature as a pushover and the callbacks to earlier plot points and everything. That, and the it's a wonderful life tribute/parody seemed like they could have made for some really entertaining spongebob films, as apposed to what we ended up with.

I know people are against SpongeBob spin offs, but I’d love a Plankton spin off show or movie, have him move on from The Krabby Patty Formula and have him get a villain crew together and have them pull off a ultimate heist, maybe it fails and he goes back to trying to steal the formula, idk I think it could work

Wow. What could’ve been. SpongeBob is a great example of a movie that needs to be done correctly after a successful first film. Just like The Simpsons. The shows have been on the air forever. You need to spark interest. The only thing that I could’ve seen sparking interest for the previous movie was Keanu Reeves. Plot was OK until I got extremely bad when they do the soft pilot for Kamp Koral. Imagine actually sitting through that in the theater.

You know nick i hope that the spongebob movie it's a wonderful sponge would have spongebob and his friends find gary and battle the space cats alongside with bubbles the dolphin and of course this movie will not have nicholas cage and the tiger but it will have the human counterparts of spongebob and patrick(a boy and a girl) and i know because this spongebob movie would be the best movie ever to have spongebob and his friends save the world from the space cats
I'm sorry but talking about the second synopsis with the alien invading cats only made me think, "Wow I can't believe SpongeBob nearly stole Alexios' entire character trait from Adastra."
I wish could save this project because I don’t understand why they cancelled this idea and had a different original plot I mean Gary was a snail from an alien planet and he was invaded by alien cats 🐈 in robot suit and had Nicolas cage but they leaks from the movie that shown to nick was so mad for why this
Wow. What could’ve been. SpongeBob is a great example of a movie that needs to be done correctly after a successful first film. Just like The Simpsons. The shows have been on the air forever. You need to spark interest. The only thing that I could’ve seen sparking interest for the previous movie was Keanu Reeves. Plot was OK until I got extremely bad when they do the soft pilot for Kamp Koral. Imagine actually sitting through that in the theater.

I'm glad that the story about space cats and Neptune played by a live actor was abandoned because I like cats and I don't want to see them as villains, and as for Neptune with a live actor underwater, that's Strange

I remember hearing news of the third spongebob movie back In 2019 and I was really hiped but it sucks how we got the current one instead of the other pitches and it really makes me sad that the 2nd pitch was scraped cuz I thought it sounded entertaining
