However, she's starting to have a hard time remembering Elia and Rhaegar. - Theyre in a similar situation as Theon where theyre more or less hostages, with Stannis keeping an eye on them. Unlike Theon and the Starks, the Targaryen kids and the Baratheons are colder and more distant. Stannis doesnt abuse them and he does provide them the basics but he's not exactly a warm father figure. - Robert doesnt hide his disdain for them. Like hes not exactly abusive as Stannis wouldnt let him harm them (at least physically) but he aint exactly gonna be nice to them. Cersei is cold to them as theyre a reminder of how she couldnt have Rhaegar - The Martells would try to get custody of the kids but well, Robert says no. I also think Viserys would still marry Dany off to Khal Drogo as he needed the manpower to help him get his home back, tho in this instance he also needs the manpower to help him rescue his niece and nephew, who he feels obligated to rescue. I think Robert wouldnt allow them to marry out of disgust and political reasons. I also think theyd still go along with marrying Rhaenys off to Joffrey as a compromise of sorts, solidify both claims and maybe make peace. Also, I dont think the age difference is too egregious, those two would be around Robb and Jon's age range I think

In Dorne, I see her having affairs, many affairs and Oberyn bringing a friend home for them. She might be on good terms with the "mothers" of the extra kids. The Dornish have a different way of looking at affair children and affairs and I think Cercei might just be able to turn a blind eye to the extra kids.

Maybe a world where Robert died during the rebellion and Jaime took the crown. Tywin could marry Jaime off to someone politically valuable (Lysa? Making a solod connection with a southern house but also maling him Ned's brother in law to connect the north), and send Cersei off to Essos so she wouldn't mess up Jaime's marriage. It could start a whole new war of the bastards, with Petyr/Lysa and Jaime/Cersei. With Robert dead, Ned wouldn't have to lie to Caitlin about who Jon's parents are.
