What can I say about Daryl and Rhonda that has not been said. As a steel player, that break Mike Johnson plays is absolutely top notch. Everyone in this group is so talented. The bass player is rock solid and the drummer is too. I love the piano and guitar licks and the fiddle player is so clean and smooth. Music like this is a joy to listen to.
Rhonda absolutely loves singing! Well, she would considering she does it so well. Nothing wimpy about our Rhonda, she gives it her all, unlike so many other women singers.
No problem..just wanted credit to go to the right musician.....by the way, I so love these wonderful videos of Daryle Singletary you have posted...I loved his voice and his great traditional country sound...appreciate you sharing the videos....
I always thought he had that Keith Whitley sound in his voice every time he would sing a slow song, specially the songs that Keith Whitley had done before like this song here. I even thought that if they ever would make a movie about Keith Whitley, Daryle Singletary would provide the singing part like what they did when Kirk Russell played Elvis Presley and Ronnie McDowell provided the singing part.
graham bull Yep, the ACM got it right when he won steel guitar player of the year, as well as, Paul Franklin, "Buttermilk" John (Hughey) and can't omit The Big E (Buddy Emmons)
@@jpsilkeborg Based off the list that's Josh Williams. It's super cool to see a lineup of great country pickers mixed with Rhonda's bluegrass band. Quality musicians all the way around! Thanks for posting
Really enjoy both Daryle and Rhonda singing but sorry folks this is Keith Whitley's song and he nails it like everything he ever sang. Oh I know I am prejudice when it comes to Keith but he is one of the best to ever record a country song! Give a listen and I challenge you to disagree!!!
Keith Whitley was the first to record this song - in May '87 - The song was written by Vern Gosdin, Hank Cochran and Red Lane. Vern Gosdin also recorded it but never made it a single. I have both Keith's and Vern's version and they are both real awesome, hard to choose among such great singers! Daryle does a great job and is one of the few Real Country Singers that we still have. left On June 8th. Rhonda & Daryle will have their brand new Duet-CD Release Party at The Nashville Palace! I'll be there!
Think'n and a drinkin song. Makes me long for the good ol days of live music with lots of smoke and belt buckle polsh'n on the dance floor.
What a beautiful voice. Gone but never forgotten.
awwwwww these two together give me goosebumps!!! I can't get enough.

James Mitchell wasn't too bad on that Tele either. I kept hearing it, and thought it sounded like him, but wasn't sure...but lo and behold.
Paul King no doubt. Why did Nashville let this music die? I could listen to these sweet sounds all day long....then on into the night.
Love watching this video again and all times he is so good to singer and love watching her
Rhonda absolutely loves singing! Well, she would considering she does it so well. Nothing wimpy about our Rhonda, she gives it her all, unlike so many other women singers.

Absolutely unreal the duet harmonies! Ya’ll would of been George and Tammy level.
Beautiful ❤❤
One of the BEST shows during Fan Fest. CMA sucks, C stands for Commercialism and NOT COUNTRY!
hankaboy Actually young man, CMA is an acronym for ... Country My Ass
wish him and lorie morgan would sing till a tear becomes a rose
In the written introduction of this song the piano player is listed as Michael Rojas but it is actually Joey Schmidt on keyboards...
Thanks, I have made the correction now!

Master class.
I almost love the way he sings it better than Keith Whitley. Im a huge Keith Whitley fan. But this guy does a great job.
Mike,I haven't heard a better turnaround....EVER!.....and didn't Rhonda have a bunch of fun!
graham bull Yep, the ACM got it right when he won steel guitar player of the year, as well as, Paul Franklin, "Buttermilk" John (Hughey) and can't omit The Big E (Buddy Emmons)
