I loved all 3 of your projects. Hope you have a wonderful 4th with your family. You deserve some time off. Have fun
Thank you so much! 😊
Having lived in the Tampa Bay area of Florida for over 30 years, I am one of those who cherish the beauty and history of old cigar boxes.....Many of the old cigar companies' boxes are quite valuable as there are actual collectors of them. I'm sure that you checked these out. It's easy to see the after is just as beautiful as the before. I have to speak out. I so enjoyed this "non live" video from you. For me, the lives are only really fun for those who are on the right now stream. For many of us, it's just too much chatter that makes the video very very long when watching after the fact.....
Sorry for all of my not happy happy. I love your channel and so happy that you're having so much succuss with all of your hard work,......been a fan for a long time....as they say: you go girl!!!
Thank you Lynn, I completely understand that my Live videos aren’t for everyone. I will continue to do more of these short flip videos so that everyone will have a chance for new inspiration! ❤️☺️
WOW they All are Gorgeous! The Black Box looks Victorian. The trim really made it👍 My fav is the Sweet Pink Box ... I ADORE that print& Dark Wax softened & warmed it up. Just right 4 me🤍🩷🤍
Thank you Debie! 😊
Fun flips, enjoy the different methods you used!
Looking forward to the Makers Box!
Enjoy your Holiday and Family Time! 🎉
Thank you April! 😊
All of them were beautiful!!! My favorite was the transfer one!!!
Awe thank you Kristen! ❤️
Hi Sonnet. Hope you had a great weekend. I have a few cigar boxes so will see what you can do. 😊❤❤❤❤
Really love the black one with the paint inlay! Very effective!
Thank you! 😊
*Sonnet, the cigar boxes are all lovely. My favorite part of the first box was the "beaded trim" around the lower perimeter of the box. That really elevated the look of the box❣️*
*I, however, am not a fan of distressing, so I would eliminate that step. 😉 The second box is so sweet and charming; I am so enamored with the little purple violets and the sweet poem with the color Crinoline. Again, no wet distress for me, LOL❣️💜 For the third cigar box, I L💟VE Royce's "Monet like" decoupage paper on the top of the box, and you chose to enhance the gorgeous pink florals in it by emphasizing them with the soft pink shade on the rest of the box.🌸💮🌸 For me, because I really like the soft pink color, I would have simply used clear wax. 😉💕💞💗💝*
Thank you Leslie! 😊
Love them all! They are all so so good ❤ TFS ❤😊
Thank you! 😊
Enjoy your family trip! Happy 4th to you & yours in the sticks ❤🎉
Happy 4th to you as well! 😊
Cute cigar boxes. Have a great 4th and relaxxxxxx! 🇺🇸
Thank you Lisa! 😊
I LOVE these simple transformations! I would never have thought to use black with that inlay. I just love it! As we move into fall, I try to do darker colors for my booth…this combo is perfect! And I still have the violet transfer…gotta be on that cream color! Thank you so for the inspiration! I get stuck and sometimes just overwhelmed. Then I watch you and I’m pointed in a good direction😌. I too love your lives, but I have to be doing something when I watch…as that’s a big time commitment. 🤣🤣🤣. Turns out I’m bad at multitasking. Wasn’t like that when I was younger🤔. So I really love these shorter videos! Thank you, thank you❤️❤️❤️. Enjoy “up North”. Wish I could just get in the car and run up to Door County this 4th…I’m so homesick for it…that’s north for me😁❤️
I’m so glad I can bring you some inspiration! 😊
I love old cigar boxes. I have one in my craftroom that closes and holds my two rotary tools.
That’s awesome Charlotte!😊
I hope that you enjoy your 4th of July!!
Thank you Connie! 😊
I know you said paint inlays never turn out perfect. But im pretty sure yours is perfect! ❤
😂
Love your ideas for the cigar boxes! Motivational for using it.
Thank you Marcia! 😊
You can use clear wax as an eraser if you think you got to much black wax
Thank you Deni. 😊
I do cigar boxes often and find the best way to get those fancy heavy sticker off is with a heat gun and then sand the residue off the 😊box
Great advice! 😊
These cigar boxes look so great. I have one or two packed in storage. I’ll have to try and get them, it would be worth doing them up. Thank you for this video. I loved it.
Thank you Pamela! I’m glad I could inspire you!!😊

Sonnet, I love the cigar boxes, I have several and was wondering how to decorate them.
Thank you.
Thank you Shirley! 😊
Lemon oil will remove stickers. Looking forward for my second box.
Great idea Connie!!😊
If you heat up those stickers for a minute and the use your scrapper and those will come off really easy
I use those scrapers too. I got them from Temu and amazing. Love love these!!!! ❤❤❤ I need to just be brave and try inlays soon
Yes! You will hooked on Inlays once you do!!!😊
Great job! Loved them all!
Thank you Colleen! 😊
You should’ve tried putting a clear wax on the pink box then go over it with the black wax. That way you could wipe away a little of the black wax & it wouldn’t of look dingy.
I didn’t think I needed to do that step because the Fusion Paints have a built in sealer, so it acts like a wax base. I could have added some clear wax after wiping away the black wax to tone it down more, but I liked the way it ended up. 😊
It was great seeing three different techniques! My favorite was the paint inlay one.
Thank you Ellen! 😊
They look great!!!
Thank you Margie! 😊
Wow what a beautiful transformation on all these cigar boxes you did a beautiful job on all of these great crafting ❤😊
Thank you so much! 😊
Hey Sonnet Hey ❤
Hey! 👋
Your cigar boxes look great!
Thank you Lorraine!
Ms Sonnett you can use clear wax and remove/erase the black wax very easily.
I have done this with the water based waxes and the petroleum based waxes.
The best bet is to clear wax before applying the dark wax to help control the effect of the dark wax.
I know many Cuban men who smoke Cuban cigars that come out of those wooden Cuban cigar boxes and they would not be very happy with what you did to upcycle cigar boxes.
I understand that my upcycled projects are not for everyone. I just prefer to be able to reuse the boxes after they have been discarded to keep them from becoming part of a landfill. 😊
❤❤❤❤
They all turned out beautiful. I can’t pick a favorite. Anxious to see the Fall Makers box in September. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Kim! 😊
These are super cute. I’ve always used these boxes as storage for my art supplies and never thought to decor them first
Thank you Roberta! 😊
Sonnet, ive not "tried" my inlays JUST yet, but FASTLY approaching doing it, HAHAHA!!!! My question is, "APX", how long does it take you to "Do" a whole box like this one, from start to finish?? It "Looks" fast and easy, BUT I KNOW, thats not ALL "true", hahaha!!!! Im just getting an "idea" OR an "apx" timming. Thank-you!!!!!
Enjoy and looking forward to my box!!!❤
You’re going to love it Jean! 😊
You are a mind reader, I have been thinking about the paint inlays, wondering if the paint that you put it on will transfer to the next project since you can use it 3x. Thank you fir that clarification. Love the boxes and your channel. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Alicia! 😊
I love all 3 of the boxes!!!!😊❤ Will you be selling the Rocycled decoupage paper used on the 3rd box?
Thank you Shannon! 😊 The Decoupage paper was specifically designed for my June Makers Box. If you have a subscription to the Makers Box then I sent out a link in an email to buy additional papers. If you don’t have a subscription then you won’t be able to purchase them unfortunately.
