If we are moving Shibuya Incident to the next episode may I recommend you both a Blu-ray version that improves SIGNIFICANTLY on the TV release burdened by scheduling issues
@@ThatSamoanGuy Nah it's really good it happens, and I'm surprised that it even does. Because the alternative isn't that you get a blu-ray higher quality TV release, you just only ever get that TV release.
@@hippie_4762 No, I mean that people need to stop insisting for every online personality (like react channels) watching JJK have to watch the additional Blu-ray as if it makes a difference in the episode altogether. 3:57:46 somewhere in BC…the Angriest Pat, who is known to stare at things, feels the breeze of these words soar all the way from Ireland as they brush against the bald spot of his head.
Hearing Pat talk about Twin Peaks back in the day is what go me into that show and thereby birthed my love for David Lynch's particular style so naturally I audibly gasped when I heard John say "The RR Diner"; next episode is going to fucking wild. Also the way you both spoke about boxing has really got me tempted to give it a go myself as I've always been curious about trying a martial art but never actually ended up pulling the trigger.
I had some movers steal ONLY the dvds that had movies starring Val Kilmer. All of the DVDs were in one clear tub with a lid and all were accounted for except those. Must have been a fan of the actor.
So did Woolie reveal to John at some point that he absolutely HATES the " I see you" Corpo speak? Because John has gotten very good at it over the course of the year, which makes me think he's been practicing for a specific reason.
@@balrogdahomieIMHO His Wrestling Persona has more integrity than the people who actually learn and speak that language. It is the art of pissing down someone's back and telling them it's raining, and Leslie Bestington for better or for worse does not have the patience for that
The part I wasn't aware of was the forging of Woolie's signature or the fact that the movers were dirtbag criminals who fucked a lot of people over. Glad Woolie got his recompense
No joke, after this episode I want to look into going to a local gym for MMA or Jiu Jitsu or something. John's vids + this podcast have slowly worn me down. It's just that cost is a real concern for me :/
Ah, but what about the cost of not doing it? Your health and mental wellbeing, that can indirectly lead to opportunity? Doesn't beat the dollar in the moment, but don't think you're throwing it away on a frivolity.
I just want to say that this podcast is what got me to finally watch Jujutsu Kaisen. I binged all of season 2 in a single day. I am destroyed. Thanks guys.
Woolie that's a really sweet recommendation, holy shit. Getting John to dip into Caribbean food to share a bit of culture with him is a really touching gesture, that got me😭😭😭
As someone who's left-handed and has done foam fighting for almost 15 years, it absolutely is a super power. Though, at really high levels it becomes less and less of an advantage, when fighting at casual to above average levels it's like a cheat code.
like eyepatch wolf i never expected to be into boxing as much as i was, and it really is addictive more than any sport id love to see him continue into sparring and practicing with a partner who is really trying to hit you (not kill you). while you dont need to fight someone to get the benefits of boxing and enjoy it, after 3 amateur fights theres nothing quite like testing yourself like that. add in the adrenaline and even just a couple of 90 second rounds can feel like a 2 hour session
Woolie starting JJK anime as the manga ends is cosmically ironic as hell. I and many had our gripes with it, but the journey was fun. And I’m really happy for John starting up boxing. He brought up a lot of the same technical points that I learned when I started so all of those points hit home for me.
Ok but hear me out. Since next Episode technically has three Thinge to talk about the episode thumbnail has to be three way. But who to represent the Shibuya incident with. It‘s technically Woolies but there is someone who fits even better: Masquera Snake-kun
There's a character later on in JJK that gets like 2 pages of explanation for their power. Every panel used to help explain it. AND AT THE END OF THE EXPLANATION Gege inserts "Yeah, you didn't need to read all that, hehe"
As someone who used to work in the moving industry, Woolie's story is the most moving company story I've ever heard. Honestly, the fact he got money from them is the most surprising thing. The entire process is designed to get you to just give up and not go through the effort
@@PredictableEnigma we moved cars for the companies that move household goods, because those companies don't have the infrastructure to haul automobiles. The amount of trucking companies to total a bunch of cars and then just all their phone numbers are disconnected was astounding.
The recommendation for food is a really cool angle, I was wondering if that kinda thing would come up. While I was watching i also wondered if they would recommend albums or discographies but iunno how musically inclined John and Woolie are. Either way, this was a hell of an episode and I might have to actually pick up JJK goddamn.
It goes from "Why you not tryna laugh, bruh, that's disrespectful as shit!" to "Do you see now, listeners?! I am opening my heart out to this man, my dear friend, and he has to hold back his laughter! And he has the AUDACITY to agree with people saying that *I* am the villain of this podcast!"
It's so nice of Woolie to be so considerate of John's struggle against fanart, he's such a good friend and host, that's why he's my favorite of the podcast. Good on him for doing the right thing and calling out John's difficulties, that takes courage.
John's experience with boxing is exactly how I felt when I first got into motorbike racing, that feeling of getting how something WORKS, grasping a piece of the basics and taking it as far as it'll go - landing a Perfect Jab or a Lefty hook; or tracing a Perfect Curve at practically full speed (cool part of motorbike racing is the knee-sliders, you essentially DRIFT the bike to turn, super satisfying to do), or even just Entering and Exiting a turn at Full Speed both sides. It's that exhilarating feeling of finding The Element, that missing piece of your brain that just CLICKS into place and brings a whole new world before you. It's the fun of the sport, the endless hard work of training and the glory of success. It's finding how to put enough momentum behind a punch or memorizing a circuit and etching it into each piece of your body. It is Glory made manifest. And I hope John continues to enjoy boxing, because God, I miss motorbike racing - had to quit almost like 5 years ago because wrecked my bike, helmet and suit beyond repair, and my right arm ALMOST beyond repair in an unlucky crash; I still remember the feeling of it, every motion, every thought, and careful shift. Have fun mister eyepatch wolf, ride that lightning until it all burns down!

The promise of Shibuya and triple rec next episode. Woolie recommending his cultural dishes is so adorable and sweet 😭. Friendship era best era

I have taken 2 boxing lessons so far, and I can already tell you this shit is life-changing. I don't know if yall will see this, but genuinely, thank both of you so much for this recommendation, and this podcast
Hey, Wolf! You'll probably not see this; you're a busy man, I'm sure. But if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend an anime called "91 Days." It's a lovely story about loyalty, betrayal, and the cost of revenge, and it's nicely wrapped up in a 1930s Boardwalk Empire setting. I think you'll love it!
Always love hearing somebody talk about an anime they supposedly are really familiar with only to pronounce everyone's names wrong and forget what color Nobara's hair is.
I think the funniest part is that he blames his dyslexia, a disease that I also have, which definitely totally makes it so that I can't hear the pronunciation of names and also makes me colorblind.

3:40:20 - THIS FRIENDSHIP ARC IS THE GREATEST THING EVER.
I misread peering as peeing and was very concerned for a moment.
Thanks for writing these down
doing amazing work, thank you
Thanks for the highlights!
I’ll add a personal moment of mine
3:50:07 Official 3rd Host, Snake-kun
Thanks for the timestamps
Wasnt expecting the 12 round 60 minute boxing match between john and woolie at the end there
3:52:10 thought for sure the recommendation was gonna be "use your n-pass plus"
Tragic to see my personal fave get knocked down a peg, but I still have faith that we’ll see a Kill Six Billion Demons update someday
*whispers* they don't even know about Solomon David
Wow, John started playing the tragic hero with the big sword in Darkest Dungeon 2, never would have guessed.
Woolie vs Hunter x Hunter: 36 episodes in 3 years.
Woolie vs Jujutsu Kaisen: everything in 3 weeks.
That says a lot about the anime.
*10:30** Jon just took Dark Souls 1 damage*
when a mf visit blighttown ✊😫
It is crazy that woolie just watched the anime as the manga is just ending
I mean woolie got the best that jujutsu kaisen can offer with the shinuya incident (ignoring like 2 fights in the final arc of the manga that i wont spoil).
He is in for a ride. To where? Who knows?
@@solardxgamer1692 One of those fights is absolutely FANTAstic.
No wait, John is Rohan Kishibe, and Woolie is Josuke. Woolie just out here havin' a good time maybe pranking his sorta rival sorta friend as a bit of revenge bit tuen John, no John is an artist, dedicated to the mastery of the TH-cam video essay, he's gonna take this trauma and make some god damned amazing content come hell or high water
If we are moving Shibuya Incident to the next episode may I recommend you both a Blu-ray version that improves SIGNIFICANTLY on the TV release burdened by scheduling issues
People need to stop doing this.
@@ThatSamoanGuy Nah it's really good it happens, and I'm surprised that it even does. Because the alternative isn't that you get a blu-ray higher quality TV release, you just only ever get that TV release.
People who keep saying this are the worst because I watched tha damn version that was changed and ALL THEY DID WAS ADD A SCENE, NOTHING ELSE CHANGED
@@Blagno4TV releases also had a lot of ghosting and it shows
@@hippie_4762 No, I mean that people need to stop insisting for every online personality (like react channels) watching JJK have to watch the additional Blu-ray as if it makes a difference in the episode altogether. They barely added ANYTHING at all, let alone anything worth forcing themselves to seek out.
Domain Expansion: INFINITE MASCARA
It's really funny how John keeps calling Sukuna "Sekuna", dyslexia really manhandles some people (including me).
Also, woolie said that "this is a post chainsaw man shonen jump" because of the violence, but funnily enough, JJK started before CSM.
I can't tell when its dyslexia, irish accent or just john joking around
@@pedrox20000 most of the time it's all of them
That's a wild take about violent Shonen since I feel like Attack on Titan was way before both of them.
@@Kango234 honestly, AOT is kinda tame in comparison.
@@pedrox20000Weird, you just said dyslexia two times in a row.
I say as a Greek where our pronunciation of words is flatter than Gura...
So UFO50 lets you experience games the way that your friend Philipe does. One entire console greatest hits library all at once that you have 0 prior knowledge of.
3:57:46 somewhere in BC…the Angriest Pat, who is known to stare at things, feels the breeze of these words soar all the way from Ireland as they brush against the bald spot of his head.
Streaming SF6 when suddenly the lighting shifts, his opponent gets replaced by the Giant who says “It is happening again” while the chat emotes out
Hearing Pat talk about Twin Peaks back in the day is what go me into that show and thereby birthed my love for David Lynch's particular style so naturally I audibly gasped when I heard John say "The RR Diner"; next episode is going to fucking wild. Also the way you both spoke about boxing has really got me tempted to give it a go myself as I've always been curious about trying a martial art but never actually ended up pulling the trigger.
I feel overwhelmed with affirmation in my tastes in JJK.
Yeah, just because the ending fell flat doesn't make the shibuya incident any less incredible
I bet John won't be eating pie on the floor with his fingers.
Boxing climbs to the rank of #1, a single fist raised towards the Throne of Heaven
I had some movers steal ONLY the dvds that had movies starring Val Kilmer. All of the DVDs were in one clear tub with a lid and all were accounted for except those. Must have been a fan of the actor.
the best advice if you're ever caught off guard by social etiquette, ask yourself: "what would nathan fielder do?"
"And then do the exact opposite."
The shibuya incident versus Twin Peaks versus Fine Dining. What an episode, what a podcast.
My favorite three hour podcast is looking to soon be my favorite four hour podcast.
So did Woolie reveal to John at some point that he absolutely HATES the " I see you" Corpo speak? Because John has gotten very good at it over the course of the year, which makes me think he's been practicing for a specific reason.
Isn’t his wrestling heel persona all about that?
@@balrogdahomieIMHO His Wrestling Persona has more integrity than the people who actually learn and speak that language. It is the art of pissing down someone's back and telling them it's raining, and Leslie Bestington for better or for worse does not have the patience for that
Jon will get food poisoning and the friendship era will collapse. Woolie will dig twin peaks and Jon will be fill with jerked rage.
omg I forgot about woolie's third strike cabinet story...oh it still hurts to hear, how awful.
It's just that cost is a real concern for me :/
Yeah it's a lot of money to spend. These guys obviously don't need my money lol
Ah, but what about the cost of not doing it? Your health and mental wellbeing, that can indirectly lead to opportunity? Doesn't beat the dollar in the moment, but don't think you're throwing it away on a frivolity.
Mascara Snake-kun seems nice.
I just want to say that this podcast is what got me to finally watch Jujutsu Kaisen. I binged all of season 2 in a single day. I am destroyed. Thanks guys.
if we wanna talk about noble characters becoming villains while their edgy friends become the heroic mentors, Kakashi and Obito are right there lol
I can't believe Evil Mascara Snake-Kun betrayed the VersusWolves and left his place of the trio open for Todo to inherit
Peak fiction vs jujutsu kaisen
Boxing, in fact, is fake.
This but unironically. Tatsuyoshi vs Singwancha gets me teary eyed every time I rewatch it.
31:54 the incidental timing of me seeing the subject’s reaction to the eclipse as my first exposure is simply bizarre timing
like eyepatch wolf i never expected to be into boxing as much as i was, and it really is addictive more than any sport
id love to see him continue into sparring and practicing with a partner who is really trying to hit you (not kill you). while you dont need to fight someone to get the benefits of boxing and enjoy it, after 3 amateur fights theres nothing quite like testing yourself like that. add in the adrenaline and even just a couple of 90 second rounds can feel like a 2 hour session
Woolie starting JJK anime as the manga ends is cosmically ironic as hell. I and many had our gripes with it, but the journey was fun. And I’m really happy for John starting up boxing. He brought up a lot of the same technical points that I learned when I started so all of those points hit home for me.
Woolie’s summary reminded me how hype the earlier arcs were. The chaos in Shibuya is ridiculous.
What a great episode, Woolie having watched the entirety of s2 of jjk made me audiably gasp at the reveal lol. Chaos arcs, you truly are my specialz
man. this podcast is so fuckin hype.
As someone who used to work in the moving industry, Woolie's story is the most moving company story I've ever heard.
Honestly, the fact he got money from them is the most surprising thing. The entire process is designed to get you to just give up and not go through the effort
Would rather start a totally new company and dodge court than just pay compensation for the damaged item?
@@PredictableEnigma we moved cars for the companies that move household goods, because those companies don't have the infrastructure to haul automobiles.
The amount of trucking companies to total a bunch of cars and then just all their phone numbers are disconnected was astounding.
@@AndrewLawton16 Goddamn sounds like all the people running those things have the job as a Last Resort
woolie's pacing and slow reveal in the jjk section puts this ep in the pantheon of greatness
30:06
"Griffith, may his name be forgotten forever"
For anyone that hasn't listened to it, that movers story was DEEP in the CSB pod
1:15:43 not woolie recreating the ishowspeed meme 😂
It goes from "Why you not tryna laugh, bruh, that's disrespectful as shit!"
to
"Do you see now, listeners?! I am opening my heart out to this man, my dear friend, and he has to hold back his laughter! And he has the AUDACITY to agree with people saying that *I* am the villain of this podcast!"
Hey John, Also a former TKD practitioner here. Tried boxing and YUP, absolutely destroyed my legs and knees. It was awesome,
My son was day before yesterday in a monsoon, but man does it feel good to sit down and listen to you guys after the few days I've had.
58:30 that's the realest feeling.
Kinda the sole motivating factor I have.
It's so nice of Woolie to be so considerate of John's struggle against fanart, he's such a good friend and host, that's why he's my favorite of the podcast. Good on him for doing the right thing and calling out John's difficulties, that takes courage.
Woolie with the proper neighborly attitude and John DEMANDING ATTENTION
UFO 50 is insane. Currently obsessed with Mini and Max, Grimstone and Valbrace
I have been playing random ufo 50 games for two days and I don’t think I’ve even touched any of those. Awesome how big it is. :)
Very funny they discuss WeebMD the same day that he posted about the eclipse.
WeebMD got to the eclipse, and it was incredible
1:15:38
“Woolie why are you trying not to laugh at John? That’s disrespectful as shit bro”
This was a really fantastic episode of versus wolves. It was so cool to see how happy the respective recommendations made you guys. It was so wholesome. The snake kun bit had me rolling laughing. The promise of Shibuya and triple rec next episode. Woolie recommending his cultural dishes is so adorable and sweet 😭. Friendship era best era
i'm at ep 23 of Jujutsu kaisen season 1 to keep up with the podcast! starting ep24 as we speak xD
Hell yeah
You're in for a treat with season 2
I binged all of season 1 LAST NIGHT to make sure I was ready for the podcast
That's what i heard @@natedavis5567
Last episode they were planning to talk about how Mappa works their animators into the dirt, but they got distracted by how sick the show is.
Pretty much the same experience everybody has with JJK.
Note to self: never hire Frank Abignale Moving Co.
I have taken 2 boxing lessons so far, and I can already tell you this shit is life-changing. I don't know if yall will see this, but genuinely, thank both of you so much for this recommendation, and this podcast
Omg hearing someone talk about JJK as only the first season is crazy
HOLY SHIT HE WATCHED IT ALL
The John just slowly becoming an mma fighter arc is gonna be fun
Rewriting Dokapon history is like continuation of Berserk, all the effort and skill, but it's just wrong.
35:00 the Nelly "ohh" just rang out throughout thousands of people's brains
Been boxing for 3 years was always wishing for this episode im glad john enjoyed himself i relate a lot to what you guys talked about
singlehandedly got me back into mma classes with this one ty :)
(also hajime no ippo again)
Really looking forward to them discussing the Shibuya Incident next time; interested to hear Woolie’s in-depth thoughts
Always love hearing somebody talk about an anime they supposedly are really familiar with only to pronounce everyone's names wrong and forget what color Nobara's hair is.
Love John but he pulled a “Malevolent Kitchen” with all that
They barely mentioned Eugene Eatadoory
I think the funniest part is that he blames his dyslexia, a disease that I also have, which definitely totally makes it so that I can't hear the pronunciation of names and also makes me colorblind.
@@fell5514Its really not that big of a deal man. Also where did he blame he blame the dyslexia? Its just a thing of them reading and watching a lot of stuff, because that is their job.
I saw the UFO 50 chapter and I'm like: "WHO!? WHO PLAYED IT?! I MUST WATCH! NOW! NOW!"
No spoilers aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Ah yes, JJK vs JJK
I love seeing the excitement on everyones eyes when they talk about fighting, it is great
No fucking way Woolie watched all of JJK
I am so happy John got that hard into boxing. It is great to see somebody discover a new passion.
Woollie recommending west indian food specifically is really interesting and also exciting for me cause I'm west indian and i hope jhon does enjoy whatever he eats
2:53:10 megumi after hearing how much boxing training eyepatch wolf has done: WITH THIS TREASURE I SUMMON-
Honestly so happy for John's newfound love of boxing
This was a much better podcast than the one where you guys were disappointed that Guts and Casca could not defeat Griffith when they could not even take on Zod yet.
