The Super Star Destroyer measures 124.4 cm (50 inches) long and is made of 3152 pieces. This set includes a redesigned IG-88 and Dengar and a new minifigure, Admiral Piett, along with a Darth Vader minifigure. The set features a smaller representation of the bridge featuring the walkway for Darth Vader, the computer panels on either side of the walkway down below where Admiral Piett takes command and the bounty hunters standing by the exit of the bridge.
Bossk makes his second appearance to date but his variation remains identical to the one from 8097 Slave I released in 2010. Dengar makes his second appearance to date with his first being in 6209 Slave I. Dengar has been re-designed with extra details. Admiral Piett makes his first and only appearance in this set featuring the same face used for Professor Snape in the 2010 Harry Potter sets. Darth Vader appears in his latest variation for the second time with his first being in 10212 Imperial Shuttle. This variation of Darth Vader features a cartoon like face featuring white pupils and added detail.

You should try and buy the Death Star 2 UCS set if you can. Then you can build a small Rebel Fleet to, and have a battle scene mock before the Battle unfolded.
I like how it starts with building a tiny little star destroyer before it sets in what you've really gotten yourself into.

The amount of greebling in this set is absolutely superb. Add's a fantastic level of detail to such a complex and intriquite set like this. Simply amazing.
Bring back some memories when I was a kid building this best gift from my mom.

i love how lego puts all the colored bricks in these builds. to keep it prettier and funnier during building. i mean there are even colored transparent knobs here and there. this is not just for convenience. Especially since the bags are all numbered.
its just for fun and thats what makes it fun.

I love this set, I was so impressed on how well designed it is for the scale it's in. Something looks off in your build though, the wings at the back are sitting too high.
also at 16:51, the last part he just put on is missing at 16:55

I just wanna say thank you for showing every numbered bag one by one. I bought it online sealed (only the bags, not the whole box) and wanted to check if I had the correct amount of bags before actually starting to build.

Yeah way too expensive to get lego version from a guy on ebay get the lepin version. It's 155 bucks only and it looks damn good. Not as good of quality but it's very close.

Imagine a minifig scaled super star destroyer...
The length of a SSD can be reasonably estimated to be 13,469m (although there is some debate). The average height of a person is around 1.8m. So the ratio of person:SSD = 1:7,482.7.
Lego minifigs are 4cm in height so to get the size of a scaled Lego SSD, multiply 7482.7 by 4 to get 29,931.1cm.
So, a scaled Lego SSD would be just under 300m.
For reference, the Nurek Dam in Tajikistan is 300m and is the tallest dam in the world. The Chrysler Building in NY is 319m and was the tallest building in the world in 1931. The Eiffel Tower is 324m.
