- Making a LEGO Car Cross Broken Bridges requires lots of testing and improving each LEGO car until it is capable of crossing long gaps with no bridge--even when there are obstacles! This LEGO® Technic MOC uses LEGO® Technic and LEGO® Mindstorms to get closer and closer to becoming a capable bridge crossing vehicle.

pink duck approves the hammer
100% :)
That’s gotta be the most uncomfortable controller steering method
😂 now that you mention it, it does seem a little odd haha
I'm not even two minutes into the video and I came here to say this.
Mind you, I used to play with my mouse inverted, so it's a bit rich for me to criticise someone else's weird control setup! 😂
I was literally shrieking in horror, respectfully of course.
i commented just incase this gets famous
@@BrickMachinesChannelit's the exact opposite of what a game would normally use.
Who else giggled at the slow motion rubber ducky XD
another great video man!
1 like and no replies? Let me fix that
Thanks, Riley! I think I laugh every time I've seen it, which is probably like 10 now haha
Yeah I did too. Haha, to funny lol Awesome video! 😎
7:32 "Obviously he's gonna add height between the tracks and the vehicle so it can go above the obstacles"
8:08 *puts a literal hammer on the vehicle*
lol yeah I thought you might like that one, since it's so out there :)
@@BrickMachinesChannel Your videos are a mix of painfully obvious fails and completely unexpected successes and I love it!
@@nomic655 I love how you phrased that! Pretty much sums up this video 🤣
It was a truly
Smashing solution
It isn't even a bridge at this point
Have you seen the bridge of Khazad-dûm?
He’s just doing it for fun, stop acting like you better than everyone falcon
Fr?
The point is that it’s not something you would cross and call a bridge. Level 5(?) is more of a slack line than a bridge.
They aren’t saying they could do better.
@@Alex_192. I think he was making a joke about him actually removing the bridge
Sooo....That hammer gave me an idea. Lego battle bots. Last design standing wins the tournament.
the robotics club i was in back in middle school did something like this lol
we initially intended to enter comps n shit but there just werent any within reasonable distance of our school at the time so we just held our own little scuffed battlebot tournaments
good shit, i wish i could do it again lol
I want both of these very badly
No rules except going out of the ring
I love that idea!
Lego robot wars actually exists!
Look it up, it’s on TH-cam!
dude i genuinely get excited when i see one of your new videos on my recommended
Wow, that's such a nice comment! Thank you!
Me too lol
7:20, Why do I think this robot says F*ck you ??
because of your dirty brain
why are you so fucking right
I don’t… hear it?
@@blockybeanz9924 look the little arms that hold up the bridge, they kind of look like middle fingers
@@FrogMan-cw2jrk now I see it 😂
Gonna be honest… did not expect this to be so entertaining to watch. With some honestly genius design choices (such as adding the extendable arms to balance the car) that I would never have thought of. And as other commenters have pointed out, the hammer vs just making it taller. Also love the extra flex of picking up the bridge at the end. Really shows how well you can handle that uncomfortable handling scheme. And the beauty of destroying the bridge with the hammer? Honestly a fun video! Good job
Thank you for such an awesome comment! It's really thoughtful and encouraging! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video :)
This thing is like a mini spaceship
That bridge laying hammer machine is both adorable and brutal at the same time. Love it great video.
Haha it is such a ridiculous vehicle :D Thanks!
I just love these videos it’s so satisfying!
Thank you very much :)
1:18 This is exactly what a modern lego scooter looks like😏
I could see that!
Nooo the duckie!!!! 😢😢
:(
He told me to tell you he's alright :)
Thank god 🙏🙏
I was so curious how you were breaking the bridge segments the whole time watching the video. THEN I SAW THE FISHING LINE. Genius movie magic my friend. 😅
Haha fishing line can do wonders 😁 Also good eye!
I like these Experiments a lot! 👍
Thanks very much! I'm so glad you like them :)
Level 9: bridgeless
Brick Machines: Make it build a bridge
Me: Ummm, isn't that cheating?
Bridge review!
More like a car review by the end. Also, hello fellow engineer!
@@gavindinsmoor8196 ha ha ha absluetly true!
Ending was brilliant! Bravo!
Thanks so much :)
I really just love the creativity of these videos, keep em comming :)
Thanks! Will do!
bridge: no bridge 😂
also i love you bridge buiding vehicle design 😮
lol so true :) Thank you very much!
The bridge placer idea was cool
The last one flips you off and then just destroys everything😭😭
....You had a LOT of fun demolishing the testing setup, I can tell.
Yes, I sure did :D
Bro has a grudge against them duckies 😂
Haha they're indestructible!
so creative. thanks for sharing such a good video !
You're welcome! And thank you for watching it :)
Engaging as always! And... I feel I need more of those new frames and flip-flop beams.
You're here too! 😊
Thanks Daniele! I've got to say, those new frames and alternating beams are insanely useful. They make Technic builds so much easier and faster to build!
@profBricks and @pybricks in the same comment thread 🤯 I love it!
You needed a vehicle to cross any terrain, so you invented a tank. Never seen that before. . .
haha good point...but have you ever seen a tank with a hammer? :D
@@BrickMachinesChannel nope-only flamethrowers. Nice video!
the end where the robot was destroying the first bridge was so funny
lol I love that part :D
@@BrickMachinesChannel it was so funny💀💀🤣🤣
Amazing 😮
Thanks!
As a child, my lego man would have simply shot the turbine with a rocket. In general, my lego peeps were very destructive. My brother's were the peaceful bunch. 😂
Cool lego technic cars
Thanks!
that's the most infuriating way to set up a controller
Haha so I've been told 😂
I like how it transitions from the thumbnail at the start
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
... the cheering noises I make while watching your videos have been described as "adorable"
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos! And that's awesome, keep cheering :D
The robot became self aware at the end 💀
Yeah it must've been tried of being used as a test robot. No bridge = no more testing :)
love your vids!!!
Thank you! So glad you enjoy them!
GET THIS MAN AN ENGINEERING DEGREE!
so good as always. thanks.
Thank you very much :)
The bridge destroyer is the best bridge crosser
Thanks! I like that one the best too!
Best slow.-mo ever 😄
lol I love how the duck sounds in slow motion :)
@@BrickMachinesChannel 🙂
8:47, Roadblocks, NOT A PROBLEM
lol yes :)
Now try it out driving on a single piece of string using a gyroscope or active countermass and an angle sensor 😌
0:23 first, you want to measure the exact distance between the farthest left point of the bridge and the front left car wheel at 45 degrees with 0 degrees being parallel to the car. divide that by 2. then pick up the car and move it that exact distance to the left. then, all of the wheels will be able to drive on a track that is holding up on the bridge and you will cross safely. SIMPLE
amazing video (as they always are)!!!!
Thanks very much :) I'm glad you approve!
The hammer attachment had me laughing a lot.
Thanks! I loved that part :)
Ah, BYOB, "Bring Your Own Bridge"
lol I was literally thinking this exact thing while I filmed this video
This video is super interesting and creative
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
Damn, it's perfect.
Thanks!
Cool 👍👍
3:55 "twice the pride, double the fall" (Count Dooku)
nice quote :) And very true haha
This video was so nice.
Thanks so much!
i like when the chain bridge
detached automatically
Thanks! It took a bit of fishing line and editing magic :)
8:43 that isnt a car thats a whole tank (no guns)
Haha yeah that's about right
Mini killdozer lol
i love how you used the 12v weight bricks :)
Thanks! They're honestly super useful for many things!
@@BrickMachinesChannel i keep them in my 12v trains tho ;D
7:47 is a metaphor for how my wife acts when she tries to do something and fails and then proceeds to not change anything and expects different results.
we can agree that this guy is a master lego
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Kachnička byla dobrá😊
This is like watching the movie Sorcerer. Go look it up kids.
just imagining the car urgent care with all the bruised vehicles that fell. 😂
yeah so many tumbles off the edge
Lego dead army ant bridges. Little Lego dead army ants that hook together. 😆
This is super interesting
Thanks! More fun videos are coming soon!
Is the solution to the final level to somehow get around or over the obstacle? An update to the bridgelayer’s bridge, perhaps?
Nope: *Smash it with a hammer!*
lol that was a fun idea :D
I died laughing at the pink duck. XD
haha I love the slow motion squeak
Next video: Making a Lego machine that destroys cars
Now that would be a fun video!
I am your biggest wind simulator ❤
lol I love it! Very creative comment :)
we need more angry machines!
haha they are pretty fun :)
And then the Lego engineer chose violence.
Just against bridge obstacles...trust me, nothing can destroy that pink duck :D
"babe wake up brick machines just posted!"
Glad you enjoy the vids :D
sick dude!
Thanks so much!
Level 9: Please bring your own bridge😄
😂 sounds about right
First it's look like bridge
and then the bridge collapse
and then (2) the vehicle made the bridge collapse.
Lol that sounds about right :)
so brick machines enters its battlebots era
Maybe so :D
We can tell by your controller input setup that you've never played a racing or car game before lol
haha not gonna lie it has been a very long time 😂
Crasy Inventor ❤
Thanks!
„Dad, where’s my XBOX-Controller?“
I know right! It's pretty fun to use to control these models!
So if i'm looking for a new car to do some offroading and want to make sure I have a failsafe plan if a bridge breaks I should put a giant hammer with a portable bridge too. got it.
Yes, that's the moral of the story 😉
HES BAAACKK
Here I am! Thanks for watching!
Alternative name for Level 9: B E T H E B R I D G E
Gives me "If there's no bridge, build one yourself" vibes lol
😂 I love it
Technical solution to all problems : tanks.
yes. 😉
The car at the end had enough of this bulsh!t 🤣
I think it was tired of being used as a tester. No bridge = no more testing 😂
Amazing video, but can you build a vehicle that is capable of doing all of the levels?
Maybe something like a gyroscope
9:06 He got revenge on the bridge...
he surely did
7:00 DQ ‐ Anything can make it across if it brings its own bridge.
Steering with the triggers is a bit different. Reminds me of old games where you turned the camera with the bumpers. like the first kingdom hearts game and .hack//Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine.
Though thankfully .hack//IMOQ had alt control settings to use the joystick instead.
Yeah I didn't really notice until you said something, but that's funny! Now I should try it with the joystick instead!
Bridges? Where we're going we don't need bridges.
1:06 a platform comes to a halt in Doom
0:10 the detaching treadmills looks simple at first, but by thinking about it, HOW ?! Like ? Did you put green gloves on ? Pls explaine how you edited that
Haha yeah that took me a bit to figure out how I was going to film...I used fishing line to hold each half of the tracks and when I let go of the fishing line they would fall away
@@BrickMachinesChannel very clever 👍
Terraneitorrrrr!!!!!
Those controller controls are *weird*
It's more common to use the stick for steering and the triggers for forwards and backwards, like automatic car pedals.
This did work out and fits the quirky video, but it's still weird.
Yeah lots of people have mentioned the weird controls, but you're the first to help me understand the right ones! Thank you!
Wait, are all of you telling me you car doesn't carry around a bridge all of the time?
I know I do, for this exact reason 🤣
the no bridge go me dying
haha that part is funny :)
Now make a veichle that can go thru each of these
Great idea! I think the bridge laying robot would be pretty capable of doing it!
@@BrickMachinesChannel I do not it would put a bridge down but it has the wrong length and the bridge below might mess it up
I wish I could just rebuild my car when I see a dodgy bridge...
haha me too!
Very empressive problems and solutions.
Thanks so much!
test how you can make a vehicle to pull an increasingly heavy trailer on a rocky road
I like that idea!
I like much 🔝
"Wind simulator."
Uh that's called a fan.
Also, 6:53 looks like a really weird forklift. Also also, why did you need the extra weight on that car?
Haha you're not wrong :) It does look like a weird forklift! The extra weight helps the tank not tip over when the bridge is extended, since it is so long!
The dislikes are from rubber ducks
I think so, yes ;)
