    This review was so clutch. Those were precisely the boards I was considering on Prime Day.

    I just ordered 2 Serene life boards before seeing this video. Knowing the use your boards are getting along with this review makes me more confident in my purchase.
    Thanks!
    Someone stealing your board while you were parking your car and ruining a family outing really sucks. Sorry to hear..

      Glad it was helpful, and thanks for watching! We love these boards, we've taken them both all over and use them regularly. We just got back from a lake camping trip, during which I had to fight for a chance to use a board. My kids and their friends were on them from dawn to dusk for 3 days :-) You can't go wrong with these boards!! Here is a vid of that trip with a good bit of paddle boarding: th-cam.com/video/fghqOAA_Bdc/w-d-xo.html and here is a short one of paddling with my dog on the SereneLife th-cam.com/users/shortsjI8h_9IJIMc?feature=share

      @@nataliechristina1764 ahhh thanks so much. Yeah good idea about a dog/SUP video :-) I will try to do this next trip to the lake! I actually just answered your dog/SUP tip question on the other post, as I saw that comment first. Yep we pretty much use any and all available opportunities to get out and camp, sometimes with the whole fam, sometimes without my wife, sometimes just me, the dog and my son, pretty much whoever is available 🙂 Short trips, long trips, whatever we can manage! Always a good time

    Awesome video !! I am still deciding between the serene life or advenor 11" I will like to go with my kids , so I read that 11 is better for the weight. Any other reviews about Sup will be helpful at least to me. Thanks for the video

    • @kampinglogik
      @kampinglogik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks! Glad it helped. I do have some more paddleboard-related vids I will try to get uploaded soon. I originally wanted a 11' board as well, for the same reasons. At the time I couldn't get an 11' board in a timely or cost effective manner. I have been more than happy with the 10' boards, they are plenty stable, my wife or I can paddle with 2 kids each. The boards are firm enough, you won't confuse it with the feel of a hard board, but from my experience, the hard boards are just a ginormous pain logistically unless you have your own boat dock. For travel/transit the inflatable SUPS are the only way to go. But if you can get your hands on an 11' board I'm sure that would feel great in the water. In my use the 10' have been great... you can't go wrong in my opinion.

      Yeah that Advenor looks like a good deal, assuming the quality is decent. I'm not sure about 2 adults, probably doable if you have decent balance and pump up to the max recommended PSI. Get one and try it, if you love it - you'll probably want another one :-) haha

    How do the boards compare when standing on them? How sturdy do they feel? How much do you have to stabilize each board with feet while standing? Thanks!

    • @kampinglogik
      @kampinglogik  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly over the past 2 years-ish of having these 2 boards, I would honestly buy either one again. The external details seem to be what sets these two apart. Both have held up fantastically well. I prefer the aesthetics of the ROC personally but whenever I end up on the Serene Life because someone already has the ROC out on the water, it never bothers me at all and I can't really tell much difference. Both are extremely stable, if you have them up between 7-10 PSI they are very comfortable. At 5 PSI they are still completely usable but are little flexible. At the max recommended 10 psi they are very stable underfoot. I have used hard glassed paddle boards in the past, they feel great, very stable. However the trade off for their weight and awkwardness of transportation is a no-brainer for me. We were just in Florida and got to do some paddle boarding on the Gulf coast. We used these two boards and also borrowed some soft/foamy style paddle boards so that more of us could paddle out together. Everyone who used the foamy boards definitely preferred the feel of our inflatable ones, they actually felt more stable and were much easier to maneuver compared to the foamy boards.
      As far as stability goes, we often have 3 kids out on a paddle board at once, or even times with one adult and two kids, or 2 adults, or an adult and a dog and a kid :-) So yes, I'd say these boards are very stable!

    I feel like both paddles are the same. The screw on the Roc one is tighter though that's why if feels more solid when you slide it in to reduce its size.

    • @kampinglogik
      @kampinglogik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm... well I'm sure the suppliers of the accessories change overtime for these companies, but the two paddles we have from the two sets are definitely not identical. The ROC paddle has a deeper hand hold at the top of the paddle for better grip and also has a more noticeable "gas shock" type of feel when you slide it in and out, and as you mentioned a tighter clamp for the size adjustment. Which make it feel a bit better to me than the Serene Life paddle. Of course for $40 you can buy a better paddle than either of these off amazon... but that's a good chunk more!

    Do the paddles float?

    • @kampinglogik
      @kampinglogik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So in my experience, I would say the Serene Life paddle shafts do in fact fill with water. We had a 2nd Serene Life board and paddle (the board "walked away" unfortunately on a road trip) and we had previously lost the included paddle while my kids and their friends were having "SUP battles" on in our local small lake. After searching all over the lake, I could only presume the paddle sank. The Serene Life paddle we still have (the one in this video) definitely has to be drained of water at the end of the day, confirming my conclusion that the other paddle did sink... the ROC paddle does not seem to soak/leak water, at least so far (several months of use)
