Because he is as powerful as all hell. He's supposed to be on-par with Superman in terms of raw strength, and his magical nature means he's probably a bit more durable than Superman.
Also it’s in the rocks contract to never lose a fight . The rock was only gonna do a super hero movie if he is stronger or equal to Superman. Idk if you haven’t noticed yet but the rock has a huge ego.
This is an underrated movie. Black Adam goes from slave to hero to anti-hero/villain to hero again, and then fights the Justice Society of America and Sabbac (Who I hope gets resurrected in the future). I feel like the DCEU should continue the way it is, because this movie could've been the beginning of something great for the franchise. The Justice Society of America's appearance in the movie and what Black Adam brings to the table proved that, as well as demonstrating how powerful Black Adam is. I also like the powers and abilities with other new characters involved in the movie.
He is the most badass superhero I have ever seen other than Batman. And at least for this version of Black Adam, he is one of my favourite superhero now, only could be surpassed by Batman and Spiderman among US heroes.
Ok, a few things: 1. You forgot to mention that Adam's superhuman stamina is derived from Shu, who apparently is Egypt's equivalent of Atlas. 2. I'm pretty sure the indomitable will is a part of Courage of Mehen. Fyi, Mehen is some kind of snake guardian whose duty is to protect... Was it Osiris or Ra, I kind of forgot about that part.
@Cbev1994 i mean his own lightning was moving way slower than him. And this is when he first woke up. Amanda waller said hes not at full power yet since hes been asleep for so long
It is based on what exactly? Seriously feel like you are approaching this like a 14 year old kid. It's best man based on what, powers, attitude, comic book lore, what are the fucking factors here.
1:54 i like how many times in the film, Black Adam just stood there waiting to get hit; maybe some say its dumb but I guess the power of Courage from Mehen; I mean he genuinely curious to know how powerful the attack must be
I actually know all the powers of black Adam it’s the stamina of shu the swiftness of Horus the strength of Amon the wisdom of zeuhiti the power of Aton and the courage of Mehan
IIRC the courage of Achilles/Mehen is what gives a champion their invulnerability. In Greek mythology, Achilles was invulnerable everywhere but his heel.
@@davekisman2763 Are you sure that is not super speed? I think the after image of the lightning symbol on his chest appeared as he moves quickly. In the "Black Adam" movie, the only character who teleported by himself was Dr Fate. In the "Shazam" movie, I think Captain Marvel teleported once by himself when he shouts, "Get me out of here!", after the first transformation in the Rock of Eternity (unless we count the staff of the Wizard Shazam as a complement of Captain Marvel's powers). However, I don't think he had control over that and it only happened when he was at that location.
Ok, I haven’t watched the movie, but I have theory about the fight from 3:54 to 4:07 is foreshadowing a fight between the justice league and black Adam Edit: I just watched black Adam and for those who haven’t seen the end credit scene, there is spoilers, but all I’m saying is that the theory has basically been confirmed
Movie wasn't that bad. The rock was a bad ass, but I couldn't stand the kid. Although I wish they weren't rebooting the dc universe. I would've loved to have seen Old man Batkeaton interact with Black Adam.
I always thought that the slow-motion panels were realistic taken comic-book panels when dramatic things happen best example will be the Hawkman versus Black Adam fight in the room.
Let us admit that Black Adam is goddamnly sick cool, and the movie only get negative feedback because it is too unconventional for superhero fans. And I kinda like the scene he samshes all superhero posters and figures during fight, which is kinda hinting one thing: None of those heroes will not come to save this country, but he will be here to protect it.
If you look up all the gods who he draws power from and research how strong Egyptians believed their gods to be, you’ll understand why this guy is so damn powerful!
This movie had so much potential I feel like they dropped the ball... Keep Dr.Fate, Black Adam and Hawkman and get rid of everyone else, make the J.S.A a more established and experienced team that actually felt like a threat and keep the darker tone and it would've been perfect IMO
Based on the powers each characters have demonstrated so far in the movies, Black Adam has the speed advantage (he doesn't needa hammer to move at high speed), but I think Thor is more powerful and stronger in general. Black Adam once went flying after Hawkman punched him. Thor, if he really wants to, can tap into his true power like in Thor Ragnarok and punch as fiercely as Superman (their punches generate shock waves). Black Adam wins if he leaves his ego away and fights seriously right at the beginning. Otherwise, if Black Adam is caught by Thor, it may be over for the 5000-year old prison escapee. Black Adam is vulnerable to powerful magical artefacts and one swing of Stormbreaker may likely be harmful.
I will say... this movie definitely made Black Adam appear powerful as all hell.
Because he is as powerful as all hell. He's supposed to be on-par with Superman in terms of raw strength, and his magical nature means he's probably a bit more durable than Superman.

Badass reply to Dr Fate: "I was a slave until I died. Then I was reborn a god. I kneel before no one."
That was the most Black Adam line in the entire film.
Did you know that this movie had no special effects in it? All the scenes with powers were done by the Rock himself.

John wick 4
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the perfect actor to play Black Adam, who was imprisoned for 5,000 years and was freed in the modern day.
I don´t understand why people don´t like this movie. This is dope.
I know right but there one guy say this movie demonic. But me I enjoy this movie 8.5/10
The fight scene Yes, but the story? yeah you know what I mean.

The action scenes in this movie was really good. I really like the slow motion scenes
I don't care what everyone said this movie was dope as hell.
I love his powers
The rock made damn sure his character Black Adam had some epic scenes 💯
Based off that slow-motion scene with the army and bullets I deduce he could see Quicksilver eating his pizza a mile away.

Ever heard the story of Samson whose strength came from his hair? Well this is the opposite
Such a shame they had to nerf the hell out of dr fate.
We all know he can no diff sabbac and black adam simultaniously if he wasnt nerfed
So black Adam's weakness is ethrium or smth I forgot but does Shazam and his family have the same weakness?
I hate that the character's name is also his alter ego: "Teth-Adam/Black Adam". Maybe I'm weird.
Do moon knight next
Não consigo entender até hoje como esse filme pôde ter fracassado. O filme tem tudo que os fãs de heróis gostam.
Penso o mesmo acerca de The Flash, que achei um filme excelente.
He has the same powers as Shazam
The difference is that his powers are from Egyptian gods.
And that Shazam is a kid while black Adam is adult which mean he has more experience using his powers
I still think The Rock coulda been Lex Luthor over Black Adam tho...
