One of my favourite moments is in the Injustice comic, he gets his hands on one of the super pills that allows him to stand up to superman physically. He loses his cool after the death of Dick and Bruce gets injured so he just BEATS THE SHIT out of Clark.

I mean, Alfred's past has been the same for any iteration I can remember, but this one particularly showed his history in SF. Whereas previous versions of him have mentioned of his years as a WWII (originally WWI) SF, this one in particular shows he's willing to do whatever it takes to complete his mission.
This is the same man that knocked out superman and became the joker to make his Master have purpose. He's not afraid to do what is necessary and honestly has more devotion than anyone else.
Alfred is the type of man that would quickly and mercilessly shoot Thomas Shelby and all the Peaky Blinders until they saw the light at the end of the tunnel. No deals, no word play, just quick execution before anyone could react.

I mean Alfred was ex-British military special forces unit and was a personal guard for the Wayne. A man with a staggering mission success count. This man cannonically carries a sawed off shot gun in the comics and use it in a heartbeat in order to protect the man whom he raised like a son.
Not only is Alfred merrily carrying around that shotgun and is willing to skip the warning shot. He is also only member of the Bat family Bruce is too afraid to oppose in terms of killing.
Considering Alfred’s history as an agent for England, his last of espionage, and combat, he’s probably done plenty of interrogations to know any which way it can play out. So he decided to quit all the mind games and pretty words, and get to the “point”.
I always love the story where a guy broke into Wayne Manor to try and kill Bruce Wayne and instead got shot 5 times by Alfred (with blanks because he wouldn't be able to get the blood out of the carpets).

"Jack" in this case means jackstaff, the part of the ship which holds the flag (and the knife would be used most, as old naval ships had a problem with their flag getting stuck). The Army version is called a Combat Knife, so you were right. And, if you only know it from land uses, it'd explain why you didn't know the term.
Not just damage, but where its unbridled upon, you can completely break or cut off certain parts & still survive as long as you don't lose blood. Ie, acid the organs, attack limbs
Alfred is the only guy in the batfamily that can kill without Bruce coming after him. Talons attacked the cave before and Alfred was there blasting away at them with his trusty shotgun. He fought the calculator hand to hand and accidentally killed him and the mad hatter. He’s quite literally said to someone “perhaps you’re relying on my masters vow not to kill but I subscribe to no such niceties”. He’s ex SAS and can send the Batman to bed while he waits for his dinner. He’s also put the batfamily in their place when they act up such as when he first meets Damien and he’s even knocked out superman after taking a super pill in injustice Alfred is a menace but people forget that because he’s a polite menace 😂
Canonically Alfred has hundreds of guns hidden throughout Wayne Manor in straight up defiance of Batman, he will in fact give someone the smoke and does not fight fair as a rule.
Case in point the time when Batman had a versus comic with The Predator. Near the end of the series Batman and The Predator are fighting in the Batcave and Batman gets trapped under that giant Penny thing he has stashed down there and Predator Gets on top of the penny and it's about to finish him off. Except the law and behold here rolls up Alfred with some sort of Daniel Boone looking blunderbuss and just blast the guy.

Alfred puts him in the car, drive him over, gives him his dads watch to out in his fist to make him hit harder and let’s him fuck that kid up. He then tells the kid who means that Bruce tried to kill him, “yeah. And I let him. Remember that.” Then he asks what would you like for dinner master Bruce? Bruce says pizza. Alfred is all.. pizza! Think about it. The most content & important people in life are not the ones with wealth/notoriety, but the ones who SERVE others. ALL of humanity, every person & state of being Is born into the virus of *sin & corruption*. We know Alfred lived his life in SERVICE to others, and as badass & great of man with integrity we know Alfred to be, he's still just another member of the imperfectly flawed & limited human race, prone/susceptible to error, various forms of evil & its byproducts that cause & influence a myriad of degradation, sabotage, weaknesses, manipulations, insecurities, diseases etc. Alfred KNOWS he is stronger & efficiently more capable (mentally & physically) than most people, yet humble & secure in himself to not feel the need to lawd it over people to appease ego or vain puffed up sense of self worth. A classy gentleman who moved with meekness & didnt think or value himself superior/better than anyone, equally treating everyone with respect & kindness. His vast exceptional skillset, knowledge & experience acquired & developed over the course of a long methodically planned life, could've achieved him success & purpose in many different/various career paths. However, by choosing to live a Self-sacrificing life, this BEAST of a man amongst men, didn't need to be widely known or seek/need validation from others, yet was content, had peace, purpose & fulfillment as a BUTLER taking pride in dedication to SERVING the needs of OTHERS over himself. A "SERVANT" widely known but works behind the scenes, became a father figure & leading role model of influence to the stature & development of a fucking LEGEND like BATMAN's overall caliber & identity. So imagine, us lowly evil humans even having the little capacity to love in the first place because we are made in God's image. Love comes from God & he displayed His love for us first as by being the ultimate power & authority, chose to LEAVE His godly throne to come down to earth taking on the form of a SERVANT in lowly HUMAN flesh. Meek & humble, selflessly serving all people (sinners) who didn't deserve it & living the perfect sacrificial life that we who are BORN INTO SIN could NEVER live, and dying on the cross sacrificing himself to pay the entire SIN DEBT of humanity. The Creator, Father King of the universe, CHOSE to separate himself from His divine authority & power to lower Himself to status of human SERVANT dying an EXCRUCIATING & HUMILIATING death on our behalf for our SAKE even though He didn't have to & we didn't deserve it. This series had its ups and downs, it's swings and misses. One thing that it did PERFECTLY was Alfred "Stone cold bastard with a heart of gold" Pennyworth. Man isn't just 100% lore accurate, he IS the lore.
it also has by FAR the best portrayal of the riddler in like, anything. comics, movies, cartoons, live action tv, games none come close to gotham's riddler. he's perfect

Alfred is always my favorite DC character if for no other reason than the level of love he has for the bat family. The Gotham Alfred we got to see really showed that more than anything else(aside from comics)

I think it's because we have the idea of who Alfred is but when it comes to actually seeing the "skills" it's another thing. And damn did this actor pull it off
I swear, Alfred and Thomas would have huge respect for each other. One is a war vet from WW1 who became a crime boss in London, the other is a former MI6 agent and a loyal and loving caretaker for the last remaining Wayne.

The V42 was designed after the F-S fighting knife. The SAS used the F-S fighting knife. The V42 was given to the "Devils Brigade" it was a joint American/Canada commando unit. History might be your favorite but you seem to have it wrong.
Gotham is a hella underrated show in my opinion, I genuinely loved watching it the entire way through while doing something like Homework or maybe cleaning. Harvey is hilarious as hell and when you remember that Alfred is British (atleast I think he is) You are gonna see that angry British accent in his voice and it's hilarious.

I mean Alfred was ex-British military special forces unit and was a personal guard for the Wayne. A man with a staggering mission success count. This man cannonically carries a sawed off shot gun in the comics and use it in a heartbeat in order to protect the man whom he raised like a son.

Not only is Alfred merrily carrying around that shotgun and is willing to skip the warning shot. He is also only member of the Bat family Bruce is too afraid to oppose in terms of killing.

Remember at the start of this show. Like first episode. Bruce is bullied by a kid making fun of his mother. Alfred puts him in the car, drive him over, gives him his dads watch to out in his fist to make him hit harder and let’s him fuck that kid up. He then tells the kid who means that Bruce tried to kill him, “yeah. And I let him. Remember that.” Then he asks what would you like for dinner master Bruce? Bruce says pizza. Alfred is all.. pizza! The V42 was designed after the F-S fighting knife. The SAS used the F-S fighting knife. The V42 was given to the "Devils Brigade" it was a joint American/Canada commando unit. History might be your favorite but you seem to have it wrong.

Gotham is a hella underrated show in my opinion, I genuinely loved watching it the entire way through while doing something like Homework or maybe cleaning. Harvey is hilarious as hell and when you remember that Alfred is British (atleast I think he is) You are gonna see that angry British accent in his voice and it's hilarious.
Only thing I dislike is how death doesn't play a very strong role. If that makes sense.
