Stone Cold said when he worked for the Jarretts he had to work construction during the day just to buy potatoes to eat. Those old southern promoters used everyone.
And this shoot says differently. So it means one of them was wrong. So you can't believe everything in these shoots. Remember these are men that bs for a living.
People fail to realize that the promoters dictate who win or lose. I wonder how wrestling would be if they fought for real and the outcome is what it is. I think that would be better for fans
This contradicts Dundee’s version that He was champion and he lost the belt to Koko (so as not to have to lose to Flair) so Koko lost to Flair and then the Dundee/Koko feud started. Hmmmm.
Actually it doesn't contradict anything that Dundee said. Dundee was the Southern Heavyweight Champion AND one half of the Southern Tag Team Champions at the time. Dundee lost a NWA Mid-America Championship match to Koko Ware with the added stipulation that the winner would face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair. Here is the link to that match th-cam.com/video/R9CiuTp0erg/w-d-xo.html
If You study why Jerry was so successful in a tough business, it all comes down to turning off emotion and making the most logical choice. Can’t argue with a single thing he’s said in his shoots. He’s not the relentless, ruthless huckster-genius that McMahon is, but maybe the second best mind in the game.
Just have to question one thing he said...so Bischoff asks Jerry Jarrett to come to Atalnta and he has no idea why? I think a guy with his brains and experience would ask the reason before just blindly going to Atlanta just because he was asked to.
If you play back the video at 1.25x speed, Jarrett pretty much talks with the cadence of a normal person.
Excellent knowledge dropped by Jerry
It's amazing what effect a sweet little, mild mannered, laid back guy like Jerry Jarrett has on people that they act so irrationally about him!

osp80 correct. A man can’t payout much more than he’s making
@Joe Dirt Lmao thats a good one😂😁😄
Business was on a big downturn at the time and Austin wasn't exactly a star yet
@@1993Redemption Yeah Memphis was on its death bed. How they managed to keep that company going for so long is beyond me.
The Coco Ware switch was brilliant, lol
That's exactly what Jarret thought!!
He probably didn't want to job to Lawler for a crappy payoff.
@@jabrockobiden9434 That wasn’t my point
Video length is 420.
420 luv
flair was supposed to wrestle bill dundee not lawler...and koko beat dundee. Its in the shoot dundee did with hannibal

@@77-ty7gbthat's the problem with these people, they think 1 saying in a shoot interview is the end all be all... Smart marks aren't bright
Jerrett was gonna bury Flair, no wonder why Flair hates him.
Jerry Jarrett is a genius.
Your boy sure idolized him.
On the positive side, the match with Koko was good
Jarrett was a well known cheapskate.
Facts! LOL
Just ask Steve Austin
@@Hi-kq1vi Lawler bought the company from Jarrett. Then the payoffs REALLY dropped.
both jerry's were extreme money hounds

It’s hard to keep your big stars on top for long that way, the UFC is still struggling to make big stars after Conor. WWF tried the Brawl 4 All once 😂

Flair with 🐊 😢, whooooo!

heenan said it best you only went to memphis to start out or make your move on out
Flair was too enamored of himself.
Jerry did ric dirty
How do you cut Flair?
People people. They did that because he knew they would get paid elsewhere
Damn Jerry Lawler supposed to lost to Ric flair damn
Scott Steiner is so accurate Flair is a crybaby.
