The more I listen to these interviews with promoters, the more I realize how little I understand business and not just the wrestling business. Not sure I'd be a good businessman.
I wish Vince would send me monthly checks. I sure wouldn't tell them to stop sending them to me! Thank you Vince Sr & Eddie Graham. I'm thankful you guys' influences got Jerry in the Wrestling business & kept him sure for sure!
@@mandolinman2006 Yeah Jerry was one of the power players vs. the other promoters, He was non-NWA when he split off from Gulas who as NWA. The NWA sided with Jarrett.
Love these “Original” JJ interviews! I saw him as a kid “at the Lexington (KY) Catholic High School gym” as Nick Goulas would always say when promoting the matches on TV. It was a special matches night where Jarret boxed Karl Von Bronner, Tojo Yamamoto had a judo jacket match with Kurt Von Bronner, and Jackie Fargo was supposed to have a chain match with their manager Saul Weingerov (I have NO idea if I spelled those names right!). Jackie didn’t show, so another wrestler, Eddie something, took his place. I think Eddie was what we call a midcard wrestler today. Not a jobber but not the star Jarret, Tojo, and Jackie were. Anyone know who that might have been? I came across a name on Wikipedia once that I think was him but I forgot the name. He was mentioned as an afterthought on some rasslin’ page, probably Nick Goulas’ profile page.
maybe the greatest mind in the business ! someone needs give him free reign on a major promotion or start one himself without jeff ,sad to say but true

Just wanted to thank you for your wonderful interviews. You ask the best questions and interview some of the most intelligent people that give you an insight to what was going on during that time and behind the scenes in the wrestling business which is the stuff as a fan we did not get to see. Continue the incredible work that you're doing and all the blessings that should go along with that!
I love Jerry Jarrett at 1.25 speed
I go 1.5 myself.
God bless you sir!
Scared to try it. Lol

Jerry Jarrett sounds like a stand up guy. Very honest and diplomatic.
You can definitely tell that Jerry enjoys talking with the interviewer.
Hannibal should do an interview with Ole Anderson, I would love to see that!
Jerry Jarrett, really seems like a good guy with excellent morals, and wanting the best for everyone.

True
jerry jarrett was a very important player I would never have known if not for hannibal
Yes. Granted, I don't know how much of it's true and how much of it is grandstanding.

At 2x speed Jerry sounds normal but it's almost impossible to understand Hannibal. GOD DAMN Jerry talks slow.
rainman11985 a wise man chooses his words carefully. Yeah he is like the tree people from LOTR. These have been my favorite interviews so far though.
I said that in another video. Listening to his videos is torture because he turns a 1 minute answer into a slow winded 3 minute diatribe.
2x Jerry is Jim Cornette normal.

Well there is a good chance I'm actually doing a full shoot with Tito in a few weeks so I think that one will be very entertaining!

They appear to be holding a grudge against me because I sued them and it settled in my favor and I'm fine with that. I would rather be my own boss.

I respect this guy, a lot of people would’ve kept taking vince’s money & kept it hush hush
Well, you know.
And you know...
Was he talking about vince's father or vince himself
So Jerry couldn't get ahold of Vince for 6 months but got right ahold of him after Eric called with that Turner 💰
"Well... you know"
If I can get paid why open mouth
Because he has morals and you don't
He just say why

Ethics, which is hard to find.
I do have mortals I was being a smart a** because ATM Eric to get what I mean
I thought the idea of Hogan turning Heal was Kevin Sullivan's Idea? The story keeps changing.
He didn’t say he thought of the idea, he just said it was a good idea & talked with Hogan.
