Thanks for the tip on the abs calipers. I’ve been scouting the junk yard since I saw your video a while back and finally scored the right calipers. I have the single line system as I have an early 68 1600. Right now I’m running 320i fronts and rears (250mm drums) with a brake master from the 320i. So essentially 320i brake system tip to toe. It works well but I scored a set of 320i hubs on the cheap and I came across the calipers today so I might swap it for fun at some point. The 320i fronts are waaay bigger than the stock 1600 calipers already but if some is good more is better. Thanks again for the tip!

Gonna be slick. Gotta pick a colour. I'm thinking silver... But what if I did the wheels and running gear in white?!?

When she met me I was rebuilding a 3S-GTE in the dining room... this is an improvement.

    Thanks,
Did you use abs calipers that just have the one port, and where did you source the insert for the caliper mounts?

I’ve done the front Volvo brakes and rear Jetta. I’ve got 13’s 14’s and 15’s (alpina). Only the 14’s go on because of the stage 2 springs. Have you worked through a similar decision? Best handling versus rubbing and so forth. I can’t find this info readily available for the Ireland Engineering stage 2 kit. I don’t really want to alter fenders, but I really like the look (and feel) of the 15’s prior to lowering.

I got them under 13" BBS rims... took some massaging, but I'm really happy with the result

Sounds like a pita to get it done. Why nit just spend the extra 210 dollars and buy the conversation kit that just bolts up?

Oh for sure... I'll talk about that in the next vids. It would be faster and cheaper just to go get a kit. It's the journey, though... Right?
