As a carver who hasn't tackled jade yet any larger than a quarter, I really appreciate this video so much, thank you for sharing, the 7lb lump I've been carting around for years (woo-hoo jade!) is garden trim (sadness lol), cheers to ya from across the straight eh and happy creating, will look ya'll up for a piece one day :)
I'm very happy with the jade I got from you guys I have been slowly getting started with it. Planning to get back to it a harder just as soon as I get my air conditioning straightened out it is getting hot in Florida humidity is high already..Be shopping again soon
I just collected 2,000 Jade Cove Big Sur California Jade. Very old Collection from 40 and 50’s. I think Jadeite! I have to get it Graded going to be a job 1,000 pieces at least from 30 lb to palm stone size. Some like you said super translucent no light needed to not much to blue Jade.
Just the facts ma'am...... just the jade facts. I live in Washington and have just started poking around for jade. Fortunately I live within walking distance of one river that is noted for jade and a short drive from another. Now I've got to buy myself a lapidary saw. I think this could be habit forming.
yes, rockhounding is a great way to get outdoors. i joke that it is for people with depression, because all you'll do is walk around slouched over starring at your feet all day.
Personally jade is BEAUTIFUL if I can carve it, the lowest grade jade or the highest dosent matter to me. I want a jade tiger statue in front of my door. It’s a super pretty stone so all of it will be used
3:30 you just blew up your own theory of grading ABC when you stated "theres various ways we grade the jade, one is based on structure...". Make up your mind dude. Have a nice day jade expert.
Because there are multiple factors that go into assessing it. My mind is very made up... As you can see by the specific bin that each jade piece has been designated into.
@@RubbleRockAndGem your first statement on the ABC classification was about structure not color, inclusions, or transparency. Again, MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

huh?
Theres a higher grade than A or A+. Its called "super". Have a nice day jade expert.
Right, and beyond that is "super duper"?
