      Rare Pepe lol not exactly . Being a professional orchestra musician is incredibly difficult and it’s a completely different language from solo playing . For example I know people who have taken over 30 auditions before landing their dream job . Or consider the concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra who took so many auditions over a span of 12 years before finally becoming concertmaster . It’s like comparing apples and oranges . A good soloist is not necessarily a great orchestral musician or even chamber musician .

    All of you guys who say they can't feel the soul, you should ignore the technical aspect of the piece and listen for the music. You guys are paying so much attention to the details that you don't allow yourselves to have an idea of what the 'bigger picture' looks like. Trust me, the music IS there. The soul is present, something nearly divine.

    • @Tennisisreallyfun
      @Tennisisreallyfun 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I mean, I see he feels the music deeply, and he plays it beautifully, but his sound is not up to scratch. If I compare it to, say, Hirschorn’s rendition, then you can see the clear differences. Hirschorn’s sound was warmer, richer, and more textured. He took his time and every note had a rich, full sound and was clearly articulated whereas many notes here get lost in the speed. So I don’t know what soul you are referring to, but as a violinist myself, I judge other musicians by their sound, and while this was a flashy performance, I personally do not believe his sound is on par with those musicians like Hirschorn or Stern or Perlman. He is musical, but that can only take you so far. And also I think he was just a bit nervous and his vibrato was tight and his bow arm a bit stiff and he didn’t give every note the time it deserved, which is totally understandable given the competition environment. Any violinist knows the pressure even the most lighthearted performance can bring, so I understand how he is feeling😊

    I just *knew* before I even clicked on the video there were going to be some pretentious pseudo-intellectual comments on how it's all technique and no emotion. Because who needs to give actual thought when you can just seem smart and rehash something that has been said for literally every violinist ever.

      This is TH-cam, where'd we be without classical music comment sections?

      I also find it hilarious the so called "high class" leave the most toxic comments on TH-cam.

      Roescoe Dunning-Kruger at its best. At least it’s kind of funny. ^ - ^

      I have this amazing comment I found on a classical music comment section which beggars belief. I'll dig it up and share it if you like, it's along the lines of someone calls another person "gay" and they're both using super posh language, but seem to not understand the troll.

    難曲リストのコンチェルトをパリ放送交響とで今後メルクルさん日本で大野さん指揮で拝聴したいと思ってしまいました。
    コロナ回避している市民向けてTH-camアップを!
