Crazy how these surgeons span the entire spectrum from "you deserve a medal for helping children with birth defects" to "you should be tried in The Hague for crimes against humanity".
@@AmmoniummetavanadateYou’re deranged. “Kids” very, very rarely ever get those kind of surgeries you’re referencing and only ever are allowed when they are considered an extreme risk to themselves and go through multiple specialists. The regret rates for trans people after receiving gender affirming care are among the lowest of all procedures, most meta analysis’ finding it to be around 0.1%. Everyone getting that buccal fat removal that’s so trendy these days is gonna look absolutely horrific once they hit 40. The fat in your cheeks is what gives faces a more youthful look but you start losing it naturally as you age; these ppl have had it all sucked out already in their 20s so in 20 years it’s gonna be an army of cryptkeepers
Not to mention there's a reason our bodies have padding between the skin and our flesh crushing teeth. I shudder at the idea of accidentally biting the inside of your cheek without the buccal fat.
One thing I learned from game character creators is never to mess with scalers for individual face features, it always ends up looking like uncanny valley. Default looks are fine...
Hahaha man for real...I think the last time I bothered was with mass effect and I didn't get even one face I was happy with after like six play throughs
My reply I think is applicable to character creation sliders as well as real life in that such changes need to be done in small increments with a bit of time between major changes. Many have been the times where I've been working on a character/model in a game and after staring at it for too long I lose all sense of objectivity and need an outside opinion. Moderation in all things tends to be a good life motto.
I saw a girl on TikTok the other day who was 26 and had been getting fillers and stuff since she was like 18 at least(I think she started her lips earlier) and nobody would think she was less than her mid-40’s. Everyone was telling her this as well and she didn’t understand she was trying to say she seemed older cuz she acted more mature, like no babes even if that was true it shouldn’t be adding two decades to your age
@@AmbassadorKat I think I've seen that, or atleast something similar. It's really sad, because most people's faces and bodies change till about mid 20's. The majority of people look goofy until they grow into their skin. She didnt even wait and see
it's why there are people who specialize in specific surgeries. they get a satisfaction out of doing a job well especially when you've fixed a problem. I'm guessing cleft pallet surgery specialists would also be ENT surgeons.
I do feel bad for a lot of the people who get botched surgeries in the face. I get that they got themselves into that situation to begin with, but imagine going through that and looking at yourself in the mirror when it's done, only to see that whatever beauty you had is officially gone and is unlikely to come back. That sounds like a horrible feeling. It might just be my autistic ass, but good god.
That is a horror i would not wish on anyone... These doctors really need to be held accountable... the ones who don't say no, the ones who encourage more... exploiting people, all for money. It's sick.
Having my breast reduction was one of the single best procedures I’ve had done. I’m about 5’1” on a good day but had the breasts of an Amazon. Friends would joke they could see my boobs before me when I turned a corner. It caused scoliosis in my back so it had to be done. Immediately after waking up, my back pain went from a constant 6-7 to a 2. It was almost instant. Almost 10yrs post-op I can safely say my back now only hurts from being over 30 lol

yeah but the Japanese government must have like such bad dementia or smth cuz they seem to have forgotten what they did seconds after they did it - maybe running a country just requires you to have brain worms or smth? 🤔
Hahaha, found the state department bot. It’s actually the reverse buddy, western and especially U.S. war crimes are severely underreported, so much so that you seem crazy if you bring them up. But the records are there, all documented by trusted and independent sources like Red Cross, oxfam, the UN, etc etc.
fun thing, japanese were indeed horrible BUT the other countries were also really horrible. japans thing was just more public and more sexually exploitive, and still hurts people today since they pretend it doesnt exist.

The surgeries that repaired my lip as a child helped me to be able to eat, so without plastic surgery i probably wouldn't be here today :)
A shame papa meat didn't see that the "cat lady" has denied ever getting any plastic surgery. Instead she claims it's all because of her Swiss ancestry.
I am from Switzerland, and I can confirm that we can all choose to transform into cat people at will. But it is frowned upon to do so during the daytime.
My mum has had a few plastic surgery treatments, I remember going to Brussels as a kid (about 7/8) so my mum could get a tummy tuck. That very night I remember being woken up by my parents and the hotel bed my parents were in were COVERED in blood, she had to go to get medical help and my stepdad took me into the city to walk around, probably so I didn’t have to see anymore. She also had breast surgery and it’s really hard like the watermelon ladies, it’s not as obvious she has had work done until you hug her. She also had cancer from excessive sunbed use (which she still goes too regularly), sometimes no matter how much danger people may be in with plastic surgery it doesn’t matter, needless to say I grew up with intense body issues😅

My breast reduction was the best thing I ever did. When I graduated high school I was 5’3”, skinny, and a DDD. Everyday I wore 2 bras and started wearing back support at work. It was that or laying on a heating pad every night in tears. By the time I got my reduction at 23 I was an E cup. I weighed myself before going to the hospital and the morning after. I lost 3.8 lbs and that’s without taking into account how swollen I was. Even then I was still a D cup. I didn’t feel weighed down anymore. I could wear cute bras and tops and actually exercise. I would do it again with no hesitation. My plastic surgeon changed my life.
I was in the military with a girl who got a breast reduction as soon as she was able, right after basic training. She was the same as you, about 5’ tall and wore two bras and sometimes two shirts. She really struggled in bootcamp cuz there was a lot of running, and she’d always get yelled at for not doing pushups properly since her breasts kept her from being able to press all the way down. I saw her after her surgery and she was so much happier, plus she was a lot skinnier than I thought she was, as her breasts and all the extra layers she wore previously made her appear heavier.
@@AmbassadorKat I’m so glad she’s happier, she’s a badass. The pain after chest day at the gym took me out for days. Idk how she made it through basic training. When I went back to work I had a lot of people ask if I lost weight for the same reason. I said yes, I wasn’t lying lol.
I'm getting a breast reduction next week!!! I'm so excited and so so nervous. But ive heard lots of amazing things about how it changes women. I'm ready to reduce these honkers to a normal size 😂
@braxtondavis393 If youre talking about gender reassignment surgery, unlike getting implants, that requires years of hormone therapy and actual therapy before you're approved, so they know its _not_ a mental illness situation. Thats very different from calling up a plastic surgeon and booking an appointment on a whim
Imagine getting breast cancer, going through the hell of the treatment. Most likely getting much of your booba taken, some chemo here and there, but eventually you're able to come out on top and survive the endure. Then in an effort to get some of that "affirming care", you get a breast implant.....and it's made of polyethylene, a cancer risk
Additionally, Polyethylene is considered non-hazardous by normal routes of exposure, and rejection of it is very rare. Furthermore, Polyethylene is not the only material used in implants. Most cases of people suffering from Polyethylene related complications are not from implants. Most of the time it involved inhalation of Polyethylene. So in other words, the notion that "affirming care causes cancer" is just wildly unfounded.
@@Lechgang I have literally no idea where you got the "affirming care causes cancer". I think the bottom line is you shouldn't want it in your body at all, but I guess some people will argue over anything lmao
Around the time that I was 24 years old, I was in an incident while deployed with the US Army. I required a few surgeries to reattach my left ear, nose, and repair my eye socket and lower jaw. I was certain that I was going to be completely deformed afterwards, but the surgeon had done an incredible job and was able to minimize the scars to the creases creases along my nose and eye lid, but across my lip edge. As long as I have a mustache or goatee, then it is difficult to notice the scars unless looking for them. Thanks to the surgeries, I am able to live my life with minimal discomfort and stares.

Fun fact, guttapercha is what we still use in root canal fillings in dentistry. It's sealed inside using a specifically formulated sealant, and they're both supposed to be materials that don't cause irritation in the surrounding tissues. A guttapercha breast implant sounds horrifying. Also Botox = injection to stop muscle function, doesn't add fullness Filler = injection to add fullness with extra material under the skin (lip fillers etc)
I heard once that botox has a chemical reaction similar to a runner's high, and that chemical dependency could be a reason why some people get addicted to it. That it's not always about "trying to look good," but to get that chemical hit again. Either way, it's still super crazy.
That hasn't been my experience, it hurts. I don't know any women, plus one man, who enjoys it. The catch is, the effects go away in 4 months. That's why they keep doing it. Something like fillers that make your lips big last for years, but that's too scary for me to try.
I had a 'nosejob' some years ago, at the hospital by an actual ENT surgeon, because I broke my nose as a kid (but didn't notice it back then) and it grew very crooked, even blocking the air in one of my nostrils. I would definitely recommend this procedure to anyone struggling with it, because it improves the quality of life I would say. But damn, the recovery period... The first couple of weeks are pure shite, and even then, the next couple of months you need to take your rest. I don't know why these people go through such lengths.

Dr. Gary Linkov's videos are my favorite, but I do enjoy watching people get help for reconstructive surgery on Botched and Skin Perfection too. The show Plastic Surgery Undressed on Roku is actually the craziest/most graphic, but with a purpose. It shows the surgery candidates exactly what happens in the operating room and it can be shocking for some. Any surgery has real risks.

Societal pressure can really get a deep rooted voice in some women’s minds. I know cuz my mates and I were 15 talking about what procedures we’d want to “fix” our faces and bodies. When she went into surgery to fix the jaw the surgeon apparently made the spontaneous decision to “fix” her jaw and upgraded the reconstruction to include cosmetic mods to the hinges, chiseling her face as compared to before photos. That just seems so weird to me. Like, why go upstream of the surgery site and introduce more points of injury and possible infection when what he was tasked to do was just put the shards in the front back in place.

Excessive plastic surgery and body modification in general are things that genuinely terrify me, from both the impact side effects can have and the social ethics of it. Like, the idea of people using medical advancements, typically made with the intention of helping people who actually need it due to birth defects and genuine health conditions, to just completely reshape and rebuild themselves... idk, It just gives off dystopian vibes. Feels like some _Brave New World_ kinda stuff. I'm all for allowing freedom to chose, but I think it's something that society shouldn't openly condone or encourage.
I think it really depends. The bigger issue imo is that people are getting these surgeries based on what society is telling them is beautiful. Which regularly changes. I think tattoos are dope because they offer individuality and expression. Other things like piercings can be used in a similar way, or even other body mods. But getting some intense surgery because the guy or girl you like is into it, just for that thing to change socially later seems mad unhealthy. Just because some surgeries can be undone doesn't mean you should do them willy nilly
It does brush against the creepy sort of transhumanism... this whole idea of changing yourself to become an improved specimen, a borrowed facsimile of youth and cultural beauty ideals. I mean, I guess there's two sides to it. There's making changes to yourself to express on the outside, what you feel on the inside. Clothes and makeup are really no different. We change our 'base' appearance to something that better matches our inner perspective. But that is to say, I agree with the other commenter that it really most runs afoul when the reason for making the changes is to meet an external standard. That is damaging. I guess the question is, what are you thinking beforehand? Is it, "I'm not looking my best self, what I see in the mirror isn't congruent with how I see myself and so I'm going to explore ways of making those things better meet." ? Or is it more like... "I don't look good enough for other people, nobody could ever like this or that feature." I think the latter outlook is pure poison a lot of the time. It's the difference between you personally just not liking your nose, and only wanting to change your nose because you're afraid other people won't like the one you have. With the former, one adjustment probably changes everything for you, you finally have a visage that better matches your spirit. With the latter, no adjustments can ever be enough.
@@Ihelpertricks I mean, like I said I'm not against people having the ability to choose, but it's more I just feel like it's kind of a slippery slope. I'm not like someone who's always aboard the "slippery slope" bandwagon, nor am I into "body positivity" since the latter is being used to justify unhealthy habits more than anything else lately, but when it's treating something as deep as the literal human form in such a disposable manner I do think it's worth being a bit more concerned about. And seeing the way tech is advancing and people genuinely trying to make computer neural implants and cosmetic cybernetics real, I think it's something we should try to course-correct before we turn cyberpunk and/or system shock into a reality. Then in an effort to get some of that "affirming care", you get a breast implant.....and it's made of polyethylene, a cancer risk
Better than having no breasts or only one boob.
Yeah, in very high doses. You're not going to contract cancer by having breast implants. Save your Joe Rogan ass comments for yourself.
Additionally, Polyethylene is considered non-hazardous by normal routes of exposure, and rejection of it is very rare. Furthermore, Polyethylene is not the only material used in implants.

Really enjoyed this one! Loving these types of videos that dive into the history of a subject and where it is now.
Plastic surgery and body modification is, and always has been absolutely fascinating to me. It's amazing what people can do to cosmetically change or rebuild the human body.
And then you have the people who shouldn't be allowed near a patient or even the equipment.

Been watching you and Isiah since I was living in a 1 bedroom house with my mother and 5 other people, in a forest in Tennessee. If not for you both, I and many others would've been left alone with their thoughts in a world that's relatively hot ass.
Thanks again
The number of varying personalities you go through during an ad read makes it one of the most entertaining parts of your videos.

12:06 after every mammogram my mom would say "if this is how they checked for ball cancer they'd invent a way to check within 6 months" heres hoping theres a way to avoid having my nipples steamrolled in the coming decades
Let me tell ya I tried to get a breast reduction in my early 20s cause I'm 5'1 and hover around 140-150 lbs. My titties are 9lbs each, I wear an O cup. My back and shoulders fucking hurt. BUT I have the severe joint condition EDS which hypermobility of my soft tissue leading to tears and frequent dislocations. So insurance decided that my back pain can't be proven to just be my breast saying I would have back pain anyway so I was denied coverage for a "cosmetic" surgery. Bruh...
I was almost heavily inconvenienced for getting a tube put in my ear cause, I also have chronic ear infections because I'm "overweight" and the closer facility doesn't have the proper room to deal with the complications overweight people could possibly have while put under. Luckily the doctor could see I'm not big, it's just over 10% of my body weight is boob! So he fought for me to get the surgery there and not 2 hours away at the main hospital he worked at. But man it sucks when like I can't get help, but then you see these people somehow have the money or assistance, and these doctors for some reason are willing to turn people into your cartoons irl.
Yeah it’s for sure rough - my friend’s ma is trying to get her H cups down to a D, since she’s 4’11 and her back is starting to have major issues. Only now that she’s getting those issues is she allowed the surgery covered by her health insurance. Gross as hell practice.
thats insane 140-150 is not that big. your insurance is playing you

wow that mary lady was literally so pretty before the surgeries. I truly think mental health is a huge part of why people go completely overboard
this is some truly disturbing stuff, I can't imagine how anybody could hate their body so much they'd do this. If you ever feel like you're ugly or not attractive enough, remember that everybody has felt that way before, it's not just you.

Yep, my boss at previouse job looks like Papa Meat brother-twin. And I was drawn to him and his soft and sensual body so badly. Wanted to hug him all the time I saw him, hug and don't let go... Unbearable attraction and caress. So I quit. My boss is married. And I wouldn't dare to let him know how I feel. But youtube like a jester suggested me Papa Meat channal yesterday). So I got so much happiness watching this awesome man.
He could be talking about the horrors of uncooked popcorn and I’d still be so entertained.
I loved this video. I work in cosmetics and I'm fascinated by plastic surgery, and love researching procedures, precautions, and the ways in which it can go wrong.
I've always been very self conscious about my face. I broke my nose when I was eight and because of that, my nose grew with a hump in it. (Look up Cleopatra's nose, it's exactly what mine looks like.) In a world of perfectly pleasing button noses, mine feels huge. But! I found a botched plastic surgery subreddit that cured that dysphoria in record time. My nose might be large but it's not whatever the hell it is those people got going on.
Yeah man you don’t wanna look like everyone else either. You’re your own beauty no one should actively work to look like anyone else. Society is just gross like that.
I have a big nose with a bump in it and everyone has told me it's not a bad thing, the world isn't full of "button" noses, we all look unique no human face is identical which is crazy! Be proud of who you are
as the owner of a button nose, i earnestly think that larger noses are more aesthetically pleasing! a notable nose brings character to a face

My aunt has been working in the Plastic Surgery busines in LA for like 30 years. I always wished she would talk about it as a kid.
People should do whatever they want but it’s hard not to have pity for those who clearly have an addiction to it
For real, I had surgery to fix a genetic abnormality and I the recovery post op was horrible, I can only imagine how much of a mental and physical toll it becomes after constantly receiving these procedures
A counterpoint to my other comment, my best friend had an aggressive form of breast cancer that required a double mastectomy, and they simultaneously installed implants. 10 years later, she's still doing well.
someone I know went through the same thing. after when she was cancer free she discovered her insurance would cover any size. so she got E Cups.

Extreme plastic surgery basically makes real-life MeatCanyon characters.

"Tomar, would you get breast implants if you got ten thousand dollars every year you keep them in?"
It's crazy. Body image definitely hits some people a lot more than you think. A girl I dated when I was in college was very adamant about wanting breast implants. In my opinion they were great. Perfect C cups. They looked big for her having a small figure. She just wanted them bigger. As much as me and her friends and family said she didn't need them. She got implants. The surgeons did a good job, but they just looked so unnatural for her having a small body frame. Years later I seen her posting pics after getting more surgery. She still looks great, but it was just sad to see how she didn't like her body the way it was naturally.
Societal pressure can really get a deep rooted voice in some women’s minds. I know cuz my mates and I were 15 talking about what procedures we’d want to “fix” our faces and bodies. Six years later we’ve grown out of that bs, but I know a few girls from school who haven’t. It’s freaky how casual it’s become to surgically alter your body in the hopes of curing insecurities. Wild asf.
@@stuffystuffsityas6302 yeah it sucks to see that in people, especially when they are still young. They want to change parts of their bodies, when their bodies aren't even fully grown yet. Like an 18yo body/face can change a whole lot by the time they are 24.
Anyone else expecting a meatcanyon “My first prostate exam” video? Maybe not getting it but definitely after.
You sound thirsty and that's disturbing
8:00 About 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women,
Plastic surgery might be a temporary fix, but it won’t address the real issues underneath. It can really mess with your head when you succumb to the pressure to look perfect in the society the glorifies physical appearance. When you’re trying to look perfect, you’ll only be met with the reality of disappointment.
Same for gender reassignment surgery. Mutilating ones body to try and alleviate mental illness is barbaric
It's not always about looking perfect, some times it's getting rid of insecurity. It can bring permanent relief
@@Pinkgobi Idk about permanent relief. It’s like putting on a bandaid for a deep wound. But the underlying issues still linger.
@@MrRobot-jb5tI in cases of body dysmorphia absolutely. I'm more thinking about getting a breast implant or people who have tummy tucks after weight loss.

The Russian Popeye guy is on TT live or used to be recently quit often. He would stay up high as a kite on God know what for days on end. Just staring into his computer talking gibberish, every so often talking to chat (mostly talking shit) you could tell he was so high he didn’t know where he was. He was staying in hotel rooms during all this. He would finally stumble over to the hotel bed while still streaming and pass out, most time just half way on the bed. I’d come back to check hours later and his live stream would still be going just watching him passed out from whatever drugs he was on and from having been up for days. My aunt got bonked in the face with a baseball bat by a friend once. Her jaw shattered in six places.
I mean, if you're having surgery on your chin anyways, why not.. but the Dr decided to do it for her??? That's a massive lawsuit

"I don't look good enough for other people, nobody could ever like this or that feature."
I think the latter outlook is pure poison a lot of the time.
I mean, the stats in this video kind of demonstrate that: the better the techniques and tech gets, the more people do it. And slowly, what seems absurd and weird becomes normal or even enviable.
I'm EXTREMELY misanthropic but even this is something I would like to be avoided.
@@Ihelpertricksplastic surgery largely wouldn’t exist outside of reconstruction and breast reductions/implants for mastectomies if it wasn’t for social standards. It’s not just abt trying to be attractive for one person, it’s living in a society in which the common lexicon of beauty tells you to be terrified of aging, and that certain characteristics are (falsely) associated with lower health. The intense beauty industry largely gains from shoving this in our faces, there’s a reason it’s gotten amplified by social media.

I feel like it’s easy to say „love yourself in your own skin“ when a lot of your frame of reference for comfort is ultimately tied to societal factors and the constant pressure to meet unrealistic standards. I think there is a cognitive dissonance around for a lot of women where you know logically it‘s stupid/ unnecessary but you can‘t help but still be affected by these standards
It's actually tied to biology
Evolutionary psychology is what shapes culture and culture shapes beauty
There's a reason makeup is supposed to make women look more fertile, why fitness is attractive
Why traits that reflect good genetics and good parental attributes are what line up to conventional attraction
It's all reproduction and biology NOT SOCIETY
