PS3 is a great console to collect for! Too many titles are still locked to the console, and most are decently affordable. I regularly still play on it until it died on me a few days ago. I've had it since 09 and never redid the thermal paste, so the chips got cooked, which I'm almost certain is to what happened. So if you haven't done that, I recommend checking on it.
Been on a PS3-PS4 Collecting binge lately picked up all these same Games. Looking at more PS2 as well. Theyre harder to get since I DO NOT want any Greatest Hits either.

Welcome to the collecting world. I have been trying to do so for PS3 recently and most of the games I would like are $60 and up. Some games I want I have been able to find for $5, but those are typically the more big name and common ones. Recently paid $70 for one I had trouble finding.
Great upload! 13 7th gen games for $100 is amazing! Really do think the 7th gen was the best generation, personally. It just gave us the best of everything! I've got a red PS3 super slim in mint condition. But it's the 12gb model. I just need to buy a hard drive for extra space so that I can continue collecting more physical copies of games. I've only got 15 games so far.
I went for an xbox 360 about 6 weeks ago. Most pick ups have been $2-5. Paid a bit more for the ones at the local retro store. All the games have been fun, and later titles have looked phenomenal for graphics. I’m happier than with my ps4
Im glad more people are interested in ps3/ps2 games. I would say im more of a ps2 fan (heck i even got Lifeline with the ps2-era logitech headphones). If you do get peeved with stickers on the case (like me), goo gone helps a lot. 'Takes off all sorts of icky labels and even sharpie writing, and your cases will smell like lemons when youre done lmfao
@@BasementGamerYT its been useful. Dip a q tip in it and stain those stickers with the goo gone, especially around the edges of the sticker. In a couple minutes itll be much easier to chip it off

There’s many HD remasters on the ps3 for cheap. Killzone, jak and daxter, devil may cry, ratchet and clank , dragon ball, zone of enders , splinter cell, hitman , god of war and silent hill
dont forget the best of the best - the metal gear solid HD collection not legacy as that one is craaazy price. The DMC collections - ah that maybe has a bit of issues but most of them are fantastic and im getting them all anyways ot have complete HD collection on PS3 but boy its taking hell lot of time for those stuff if you have to find a bargain. Edit: Killzone collection has to be rarest ive seen so far on PS3 its pretty expensive and even rarer than legacy collection by my knowledge :D
I would call Fracture underrated. I played it when it came out and really liked it. Played it again recently and it’s still pretty awesome being able to manipulate the world with the abilities.

Good video and pickups. It is insane how much gamecube stuff has shot up. What kills me about gamecube prices is the rarity doesnt match the price. I cant justify paying $60 to $150 for commons like Zelda and pokemon. I recently got a turbografx and while it is super pricey it at least makes sense goven the rarity of the console. Even the commons are very rare in comparison tp any ktjer consoles..
Hello man. Been loving the content. Im collecting for the ps3 like you. I never had an Xbox and my hearth is on the PS side. But I do think that its better to play these games on an xbox because of the upscaling and what not. Because of the ps3 architecture its possible that we will never have that same treatment for the ps3 games ever! Do you think this hurts the possibility for us to enjoy them in the long run when enough ps3s are dead? will that make the system more expensive? will that make these games cheaper and the xbox ones more expensive in the future because of the easability to play them on modern consoles? The only COD game I own on PS3 is Modern Warfare 2, I mostly bought it to test my PSN account on the game, since a lot of old COD games on PS3 don't let you keep your rank and MW2 is one of them. But over all PS3 is still a great system, especially with huge amount of single player games. That's where I think PS3 shines the most and made me choose it over XBOX 360. Still rocking my 500GB PS3 Superslim to this day. And my PS3 collection has gotten massive lately.

Fractured, Timeshift and Inversion are the trio I refer to as the gimmick shooters. They’re all pretty bad, but they all tried a somewhat unique gameplay loop and are noteworthy for it.
Same im going harder on ps3 current pick ups fear 1-3, moterstorm and the third, saints row 2, x-blade, rage, deadpool, burnout paradise and more. Total collection 173 titles. My ps3 slim is jailbroken able to play ps2 games which makes it a powerhouse
for some reason i noticed that most collectors don't want pal versions of games or Japanese versions unless those versions have like a more complete copy of a game like including all the dlc or something. So north american releases are always more expensive...

I use cotton balls with isopropyl alcohol on them wipe it off with glasses wipes. Wipe it off away from the disc. I do this with all discs CDs, Blu Rays, DVDs. CD ROMS if I can get them to work on my computer. I’m not that tech savvy but I know this… Isopropyl alcohol is technology’s friend.
I don't think so. The market has settled, but the prices for PS3 I believe will go up later this year. Something is brewing to cause a boom, I don't know what but can feel it.
nah ps3 did rise over these past 5 years but its still one of the cheapest consoles to collect for i think the only cheaper one is xbox360. Once your filler tittles start going for 20 bucks or more then i would start to say its getting expensive but there are still games going for around 5 bucks.
I know many people say Hulk 2003 for 6th Gen consoles isn’t very good but I disagree. It’s flawed but it’s solid. It acts as a sequel to the 2003 movie and IDK I’m very nostalgia biased here. Ultimate Destruction is seen as great got that for under 30 bucks not sure the price on it now. Speaking of licensed games though Batman Begins is a licensed game sleeper hit. You gotta get it. I haven’t played the Arkham games but I have heard despite indifferent reviews at the time it’s basically a precursor to that series. I absolutely love the game based off of my favorate Batman movie. Get the EA games BIG sports titles. I don’t know the price they’re going for now but I’ll tell you this I love all the ones I own. I’m not a sports person really at all as far as video games or watching them go either. I decided to replace some of my Assassins Creed games with the Ezio Collection. Make it easier on myself and got the guide for 2 because I will not be satisfied if I don’t complete everything in that game. I am insane and must also play games in order. Also PS3 has great 3D and motion control capabilities that I’m about to ramble on about.. I need sleep.
The best or classics of a game console life cycle are usually at the beginning not the end. Wym? The last games of a console are usually forgotten cause next gen is usually released by that point.

i have to get to my local game store soon, ive become so used to pc gaming. i cant believe ps2 games are that expensive now. when i sold my collection of like 30 ish games years ago i only got like 250 bucks

I use cotton balls with isopropyl alcohol on them wipe it off with glasses wipes. Wipe it off away from the disc. I do this with all discs CDs, Blu Rays, DVDs. CD ROMS if I can get them to work on my computer. I’m not that tech savvy but I know this… Isopropyl alcohol is technology’s friend.

You're getting into collecting when the prices are high.
I don't think so. The market has settled, but the prices for PS3 I believe will go up later this year. Something is brewing to cause a boom, I don't know what but can feel it.
nah ps3 did rise over these past 5 years but its still one of the cheapest consoles to collect for i think the only cheaper one is xbox360. Once your filler tittles start going for 20 bucks or more then i would start to say its getting expensive but there are still games going for around 5 bucks.
I know many people say Hulk 2003 for 6th Gen consoles isn’t very good but I disagree. It’s flawed but it’s solid. It acts as a sequel to the 2003 movie and IDK I’m very nostalgia biased here. Ultimate Destruction is seen as great got that for under 30 bucks not sure the price on it now.
Speaking of licensed games though Batman Begins is a licensed game sleeper hit. You gotta get it. I haven’t played the Arkham games but I have heard despite indifferent reviews at the time it’s basically a precursor to that series. I absolutely love the game based off of my favorate Batman movie.
Get the EA games BIG sports titles. I don’t know the price they’re going for now but I’ll tell you this I love all the ones I own. I’m not a sports person really at all as far as video games or watching them go either.
I decided to replace some of my Assassins Creed games with the Ezio Collection. Make it easier on myself and got the guide for 2 because I will not be satisfied if I don’t complete everything in that game. I am insane and must also play games in order.
Also PS3 has great 3D and motion control capabilities that I’m about to ramble on about.. I need sleep.

The best or classics of a game console life cycle are usually at the beginning not the end. Wym? The last games of a console are usually forgotten cause next gen is usually released by that point.
