Stock X-Maxx, arrma fireteam,64 yr old man playing in the cold and snow, definitely turned some heads with that this afternoon 😀
My first X-Maxx motor is on its way out too I've noticed lately. It's got lot of hrs on it so I can't complain. Yeah it's not every day you see one guy playing with 3 huge rc's alone lol. Nice bash video 💯

I have the most fun with the XRT on BMX tracks and the like. No rocks just either racing with others or just trying for the smoothest longest fastest jumps I can get. My XMAX is more fun in areas that are not groomed like mountain 4x4 trails. Or for when I want to break something at the skate park trying to turn a monster truck into an airplane. I really like both.

Thank you for the 2 videos you have done on these 3 rc's. I now know that I will leave my Xmaxx the way it is. Maybe in the future I will try the m2c wide kit. It is in-between the regular and the Traxxas wide kit. Also I now know that if I have the money I will buy a second Xmaxx over the Xrt. Great video's 👍
Great vid. Looks like gearing is spot on for the XRT now and I’m definitely curious now about putting the standard width arms on the XRT. Your orange Xmaxx is definitely set up perfect it performs great in all terrain as for the blue one I think that motors been on its way out for awhile even before the wide kit
Yes another great bashing video and i must agree that by looking at all the running footage the orange is the most controllable and then the wide and xrt on sorta a par with each other , i was wondering that perhaps maybe changing the geometry of the xrt shocks some how more closer to the std xmaxx may give it more control on the jumps when landing flat as again like you stated the wheelie bar hits first on the odd occasion and throws the back up and out of control , definitely a great take on all 3 rc's here Earl thanks for the Video's 🙂
I like your vídeos and I feel your comments are very realistic and honest. I'm about to buy one of theses big toys but just like you said. XRT are more stable. But at dame same time I see the ground clearance of Xmaxxmuch better! I do you think about try to use the Xmaxx shock and instal in the XRT trying to increase the XRT ground clearance?!!
I will wait for your final review of the xrt vs both xmaxx before I truly decide. But from what I'm seeing I think I will go with building up mine to a wide xmaxx and buy another xmaxx to bash with . Cool video 👍 Love watching you drive & jump 😀
@@earlmoorhead5555 then buy aluminum for yours, hit the same rock and bend your aluminum and replace all the other parts that the aluminum part broke from being stiff. And we will compare our bills. Aluminum is good in spots on a rc but not all over
Not aluminum it’s all the links even added the HR kit to have the link end swivels steel the links them selves where out along with the bell crank I’ve showed all this in the series 💯 Rc guy also showed this turns out there is a life span to an rc car as sand and dirt kills the plastic in important areas and the cost of arrma parts turns out it’s cheaper to replace the rc car 💯💯
U have longer shocks on your standard xmaxx? Where did u get them? I see what u mean about the handling, that's why I only put 10mm wideners on mine and not the wide arms or the 16mm ones everyone else runs, seems to be about perfect for me and don't have to worry as much about bearing failure like the wider kits

Yes this is the first motor I’ve had fail for longevity normally I burn them from over spinning them 😱

I've put standard arms on my XRT seems pretty good so far, not the best conditions with snow and wet now.

Great bashing and beat down. Those are some intense rocks out there. The orange one did seem the most intuitive for control and drivability.

Funny it’s stock with a max 6 front and rear upgraded hubs ( bearing carriers) and now a front diff cover simple build

Big rock strong just all plastics wear and the rc doesn’t last long and needs to be replaced over time 👍

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.
best bet is to get small hub extenders (steel) and a sway bar to stop it falling over. Widemaxx changes the car too much

Earl what do you think about a 1650kv motor in the xMaxx? Do you think it's to high an rpm motor?
Kv is based of gearing so as long as it geared right it will run the same with less low end power on higher kv motors
Wanting to revisit the x maxx platform. Seems a little more practical for a quick grab and go run it than my o8s and k8s they're just mammoths
