I was thinking of getting the Widemaxx kit but, after watching your video. I believe, I will just keep ‘em stocked. I have 2 Xmaxx 8s. I will leave the wide stance for my XRT 😉👌😁👍
Just a tip. When you buy the must have RPM hubs for 2x size bearings. Those bolt kits, buy 2 of them. 1 pack comes with enough for upper or lower arms. I need 4 more for mine
You just need alittle more power with the widemaxx setup. Once you get that extra power in there you will notice that jumping will vastly improve, overall once you get that issue resolved the widemaxx setup is much better. As far as the extra power, I have an xmaxx with just a max 6 upgrade with xmaxx original motor and messing with gearing will give you that extra power, 19/46 killer fast, 20/50 all around basher, 22/50 gives you that crazy speed with great bashing fun. Once you jump into the 1100kv, 800kv motors that changes everything as far as setups, pinoin/spur setup etc.
You warned us with the pond,,,,,and I burst out laughing when you hit it,lol,,,,.also after owning a few blackfoots and grasshopper,I'm amazed on how far the technology has come as you fly 40ft in the air.
Well my suspicions where correct on the wide maxx and bashing on the bmx track after seeing those rear tires at the end. Heavy truck and really flexible upper control arms don’t mix. Think the heavier springs on the rear aren’t a good idea either , stock springs would probably be fine. The wide kit is definitely mint if your not sending it but that’s no fun. Think I’ll sink that $200 into some other upgrades. Just my thoughts

I started putting some lock tight inside the hole of the pinion gear so there is some on the shaft as well and haven’t had any problems with pinions coming off again. It just takes a little heat to remove them, but it’s better having to remove them in your shop then fixing them when your out bashing

I don't know if they fit but the old springs may work better on the wide might have to crank pre load down with the old springs the original seems like it flies better!!
New kit looks great, it improves the handling on the ground,but looses ability in the air. To much pre load on the rear shocks kicking the back up on take off I think. Looks like it lands nicely when keep it level tho. Original Xmax definitely bosses the air. Launched much better and kept more control. I like how traxxas came out with the wide xmaxx and to be honest want to buy one right away. It does great for my maxx v1 (first rc). But holding off to see how durable this thing is. Thanks for the comparison. Awesome bashing with this rc for me right now. Love the hobby too.
The toe on mine was doing the same thing. i did some looking and there are 2 holes on the top where the pins go threw for the arm. I believe it is an adjustment for the toe. I think maybe you have one arm in a different hole than the other side like I did.

I can't keep watching you xxmaxx while working on kraton diffs , so since we bought original exbs I ended up using regular v5 center diff probably have 20 packs or more mostly 4s through do I cough it up wear tear and do I replace with regular v5 diffs moving forward.. I had clicking and hard to even see gear was bad even after rebuilding I dont like how they lock up even with 10k I wish they just beefed up the ring gear and diff cups wo stupid plates
Try preloading your shock alittle more. I know they say driveshaft parallel to ground but it way to soft. And its not that way stock from factory setup wise. Crank them down to about stock settings
I want to know if the same gearing and if rear arm are tweaked from jumps you did show some flex in new upper arms might have a Earl special on springs

Both do it just in the rear as the spring rate traxxas used even on the upgraded wide kit springs idk why I did try and fix the hop with fluid on the smaller Maxx and was able to solve it with spring changes but couldn’t find a spring rate that fit the xmaxx perfectly 🤷🏻♂️

It has excessive camber because it's wider as it dips into the turn the wheel flattens out???

Xmaxx is the most durable rc you can buy. No need to wait
Try thicker oil in the rear to take some of that kick out, maybe I won't push off the jump so hard when taking off

Yes two spots and mine are all in the upper hole to lower the rc down it’s more stable this way 👍👍

I have a E-Revo that I hate it's 2 months old I have done turtle mode or self-right mode one time and it destroyed my gears

It’s pre load as it kicks the rear end off the jumps oil seems good as it doesn’t slap to hard on the ground but pops up quickly
Maybe M2c 15 mm widening kit is the way to go. Virtue use to be in the middle point
Maybe but the c-hub are already a real weak point adding leverage to the front will surely break easier
