The character "with no face" is The Question, and Rorschach is based on him. You're spot on with that one.
Also The Comedian is based on Peacemaker (the guy from The Suicide Squad), the two Nite Owls are based on Blue Beetle (Dan Garret & Ted Cord versions) and Dr. Manhattan is based on Captain Atom.
Only 15 min in and I can easily say that you grasped this movie and it’s character a lot faster than most on their first viewing. Love to see it bro, you’re one of the few who actually seemed to completely understand the intro.

I know Zack Snyder is a controversial and divisive director. I myself am a big fan of his work but I get the people who don't like his movies. Watchmen, however, is and will remain a masterpiece in the comic book movie genre. I'm glad you're giving it a watch (and I haven't even watched your video yet, but I'm about to). I also understand that some people didn't like it because the ending is different than the one in the comics, but I haven't read the comic and I enjoy this movie greatly. Peace!
Themes of Zack's movie doesn't belong only in its own universe but infact shares a vast, grant schemes and ideas about our own world and he reflects them in his movies. That's why as time passes these movies still stay relevant to this day and will stay in further days to come. That's why I like his works personally and makes him stand out from others for me. But his movies aren't everyones cup of tea and that's understandable.
The original ending is pretty much what you would expect from a ''comic book''. XD
At some point it makes you go ''W-WHAT!''. I think this is a way better ending and even cleverer.

Watchmen was written by legendary Alan Moore. His works has always been dark and Zack Snyder has also done a phenomenal job.

A slight misunderstanding on your part, the Watchmen are a group of heroes, but both Dr Manhattan and the Comedian are government operatives. They are the government's eyes and ears in the hero community.

Just to throw this out there, Dr. Manhattan actually created DC's New 52 universe or had a hand in changing events. He is one of the most powerful beings in all of comics.

To me that Bob Dylan song, with showing the timeline with the Minutemen/Watchmen progressing in showing that this is a alternative timeline. Is just perfect.

There's a comic called doomsday clock which happens to be watchmen and DC universe crossover/sequel to the graphic novel of watchmen. I highly recommend you to check it out.

It was pretty cool how you thought that Rorschach was a different DC hero with no face. So Watchmen are based off Charlton Heroes which were then later sold to DC. Writer Alan Moore couldn't use them for his story so he made versions of each character. So the heroes go as -
Captain Atom is Dr Manhattan
Peacemaker is The Comedian
Blue Beetle is Nite Owl
The Question is Rorschach
Nightshade is Silk Spectre
Thunderbolt is Ozymandias
What’s great of the dude with no face is called the question and that’s who Rorschach is based off of.
What’s awesome is that Levi from Attack on Titan is inspired by Rorschach

I don't know why people complain too much about the slow motion sequences. These are super heroe movies; slow motion gives the impression that they are moving way too fast for the human eye to catch their movements. Can't go faster cause then they would look pretty normal or he would have to resort to stuff like that awful shaky camera effect or something, to make it 'look' cinematic.
Oh man you have got to watch the HBO series. It takes place about thirty years after the movie.
