Can I also recommend VGM? I was astonished to discover the jazz roots of much of VGM when I first heard The Consouls cover VGM from the 90s. A great example of what The Consouls do is this stream of fighting game covers th-cam.com/video/9vVT9I_aQPg/w-d-xo.html It is fascinating how the composers were influenced by jazz and The Consouls have cleverly amplified the jazz in VGM and pay homage to the (mostly Japanese) VGM composers and jazz greats at the same time (their cover of Zelda Main Theme quotes Ron Carter and Isao Suzuki's version of Nica's Dream).

I really love the way the Japanese do jazz.....great sensitivity and depth....they set out and usually do a right proper job!!

Anna, one of Sakamoto sensei's masterpieces, had an enormous impact on me, emotionally. I wish him having quiet peaceful days off up in heaven.

この曲は若い自分の無知馬鹿恋愛の果てで自●考え南房総とある地域いったけど辺りは(えー！田舎なのに)人通り多く、なんか自●する気分なくなりました。近場の宿泊は無理だったがJR駅付近の宿泊は二泊三日でなんか海水浴で自●忘れて良かった思い出。当時は(歳判明ヤバい) CDプレーヤーとCD(プチボックス)とで音楽。
