    That's our Annie! Heart always delivers in live performances. To think this was their "warm up" song setting the tone for the evening. One of my Heart faves is their live unplugged acoustic album from 1996, The Road Home, also filmed in Seattle. Their acoustic renditions of "Alone" and "Crazy On You" will bring you to tears!

  • @gthomas3964
    @gthomas3964 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    From this same concert is the song "Dog and Butterfly" "Alone" "The Battlle Of Evermore" and Nancy does a great rendition of "These Dreams" and a great cover of a Elton John song "Mona Lisas and Madd Hatters" By the way their is a very early live version of a young Ann Wilson singing "Straight On" from 1977 .. Thanks for the Heart song reactions they are great...

    My now husband of 37 years took me to see HEART back in 1982 for our first date (he knew they were my favorite band). It was at the Concord Pavilion with John Cougar Mellencamp as the opener. They still sound just as good as back then, I love how much you appreciate the music of my generation. Very refreshing.

    So glad you enjoyed that. It really is a fun performance... you can tell they're just having a blast, it really shows. And they are in fine, fine form. The studio version is great too, but this really captures the vibrancy of their harmonies, and shows off Ann's amazing voice.

    I love the rocking sass of their song from the album Bebe LeStrange called EVEN IT UP. Ann is telling her boyfriend in no uncertain terms, she is done with him. After doing EVERYTHING for him, it's time to EVEN IT UP. You will love the authority in Ann's voice. Enjoy

    That bass player, Mike Inez, is one of my biggest influences, since he played with Ozzy. He's been playing with Alice In Chains for many years now, and he plays with the sisters outside of AIC. Of course one of the first riffs on a bass you want to learn when you start out is this one!

    I love Heart! I grew up in Seattle and was very familiar with them. Years ago, I was at a little neighborhood cocktail lounge when they stopped in (just going out together as sisters) They sat in for a set while the band took a break and blew everyone away. I was in the women's restroom when they both came in and we talked a bit. They were so cool, down to earth and friendly! Great gals! Hope you have seen the tribute they did for Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center. It was amazing!

    The duet between Ann and David Draiman (Disturbed) on the Divisive album that dropped last November ... she is still freakin' killing it in her early 70s! Although I believe there may be a video coming in the near future. She is the only person Disturbed has invited to join them on an album during their nearly 30 years as a band. Those voices together ...
