Having a blast so far. I think the story mode and amount of unlockables will have me clocking in more hours than what I did on Mario Kart. If there's one thing the game is missing, I'd say it's surprise mechanics.

online needs a rating system like Mario kart. One for racing and one for battle mode. Then game would be perfect.
Played it today. A bit harder than the original, the slide mechanics don’t seem to be as fluid and is much faster than the original. Still a phenomenal game.

There's also an alternative control layout that maps gas to R2 and jump to X (on PS4) with boost being L1. This makes it feel a bit more like modern racers and keeps your hand from cramping during long gaming sessions.

3:14 I don't get why people always use power sliding as a tip while NOT mention anything about U-turning, I know its a harder mechanic but it gives way more advantage while racing, I am just suprised of the few amount of people who know about this mechanic while its a really helpful thing in CTR!

I'm surprised on how much bad advice I got on how to do it. I had a few people mention that braking is required, lol seriously wtf.
I started the game on hard thinking it was going to be like Mario Kart Wii which I was a boss at and then I just kept coming 8th over and over and it got to the point where I became disappointed in myself

0:18 Incorrect. There are 4 different character classes. You even listed them all in order: Handling, Acceleration, Balanced, Speed. Second time I've seen a reviewer lumping Balanced and Acceleration into the same category. No idea why the remake itself does this either.
It confused me too, I suspect it's because the original game, when selecting the characters for Adventure Mode, classed Balanced and Accel with Intermediate difficulty.

There's a bit of a learning curve at first. Until you're used to do the drift boost.
MARIO kart is for babies CTR actually requires skill
Mario Kart for casual gamers , CTR:NF for hardcore gamers .
"RELIC RACE" tips are needed!
Get all the boxes and it shaved off 10 seconds when you cross the finish line.
Change the control setting to whatever buttons you prefer.

Glowing wheels are a better reference for boost than the meter
Hell I don’t even need to look at the gauge. After years of playing the original you learn to time the boost intervals in your head, helps keep your eyes on where you’re going constantly.

@@warlockguy42 Its been changed now. They are now called Turning, Balance, Acceleration, Speed and the new class Drift. Now 5 classes.

For the last tip real airbraking or U-turn seems so to be a lot better

JohnLiuFromHK its hard to compare them but from someone who played Mario Cart on the wii and switch I would go with CTR. CTR is harder to learn though, I bought it yesterday and I’m not disappointed. It’s also the newest triple A arcade racer (I think it’s called that..) on the market atm.
I was thinking about Team Sonic Racing but it didn’t show anything interesting more than the slingshot thingy and graphics. CTR is well packed I would say:) hope this helped you

Becoz MK8 is for babies so is for families and includes females players. CTR is for pros so mostly guys players.

Samir Ramos there are parents that can’t afford more to their kids, that’s why fortnite battle royal is huge and got popular so fast by **kids** since it’s (was, until season 5) a great free to play game and some millions of parents can’t afford consoles, games and controllers to their kids, So they let their kids playing fortnite on their own business/work laptop just to make their kids having fun playing a modern game with his friends from the school!!

How do you maintain sacred fire?
Do more boosts, simply as that.
Before you touch the boost pad you need to boost at least once or itll run dry too quick. Fuller the bar the better the reserves

Get many turbo reserves before hitting the turbo pad. If for some reason you don't have reserves you can power slide on top of the turbo pad and so you will start building reserves before the sacred fire burns out.

@@CloakArma I played it in the past on the original PlayStation. This game looks like in a month, only tryhards will be left online. I don't have much time to play games, so when i do, I play to relax and have fun, not get destroyed to the point that it becomes frustrating. Most people won't take the time to learn all the ends and outs of this game, so they will move on to something else.
