I sat close to and talked to your Father at your Saskatoon show. As you came on stage he stood up and yelled "Ladies and Gentlemen that's my son!" He was so proud of you.

Very true@@andrewlilley3660 ??? Perhaps very true for some, but the vast majority of children have fathers. Good fathers who make them better people for having their guidance in their lives. Very few children would be better off without their father, and most have been far worse off as a result. The fatherless behaviour is there for all to see in our society, and the broken homes of single mothers, supported and encouraged by the state are where the vast majority of those problems come from. I don't think what you have said is cynical. I think it's a gross distortion that seeks to blame absent fathers while the selfish actions of mothers who excluded them, and the interference of the state who encouraged and supported her to do so are ignored. I am about to lose my father so this is very touching. I think of my son and the ways I am able to guide his character. My efforts in this quest has doubled since discovering Jordan Peterson a few years ago. My father is a man of very few words but huge strength of character and inspiration.
It will be tough but talk to them about it and clear it up before they go, or it will stay with you forever. Don't be afraid of not being able to forgive, just be honest with them. And call your mom.
@@mojo9291 both my father and stepfather passed and I was able to connect with each before. I was there with my mom in her last years and months. I know Dr. Peterson doesn't read his comments because people can be so unkind. This interview is so moving. I feel his aching nostalgia for his childhood and his connection to his dad. He is blessed to have such loving memories.

I’ve made a rapprochement with my father after all these years. He is in a care home now. I go see him every week and bring food. We have dinner together. He’s 95 now and still mentally sharp. He walks a bit slower now. I cherish these years wit him now more than ever. Spending time with him now is no longer a chore, as it had been for so many years. Never take for granted those you love. It is so wonderful that Jordan and his father are making these intimate and touching recounts of their relationship public. It is such a great example of the father son relationship and its importance of development of the father and husband that sons will likely become themselves one day. Thank you for the inspiration, Jordan. What an amazing memory and experience you will be able to think back on when that day comes that your father joins his heavenly father.
What a beautiful interview. I would rank this as the best one. Thank you Senior Mr Peterson for reminding us that FAMILY is the most important. And thank you Dr Peterson for sharing this moment with your father with the whole world.
You all right Dr Peterson? Sometimes I see there’s a lot of beauty and pain in nostalgia but I wonder if this runs a little deeper… sometimes we look back w both fondness and regret and then look at life now and wonder how we measure up to back then and now and what our future holds too… I know Dr Peterson is brilliant, but I care deeply.
🙂God bless you Jordan. God bless your Dad and the remainder of your family as well. I heard his voice in your voice for the first time today. Remarkable 🙏
As someone who has never had a father around this brought a tear to my eye (and a smile on my face). I don't often think about it - it's hard to know what you've missed when you've never had it, but when I see an obviously good and close father-son relationship it becomes very clear the benefit it brings to people and I wish I did have it.
As I am sitting here , tears rolling down my face . I realize how much I wish I had this growing up from my father or father figure… I cherish my relationship with my son and daughter so much. So much that I get scared… my kids suck life out of me but always give it back… ❤️
Both of you are so blessed to have those sweet memories. It seems to be very now these days. I did not have that. My dad was abusive to my mom. Both mom and dad were alcoholics. Then were abandoned by my dad when they divorced when I was nine. Then we had it hard, Mom and me. She died in a car wreck when I was 16. Later in years, I took care of my dad the last three years of his life, who developed dementia. And I am so grateful for spending those years with him.
God bless you Jordan 🙏 Your tears are hopefully born of joy. It seems you have a blessed relationship with your father, love and respect for each other. Truly beautiful.
Growing up, especially in my teenage years, I had little respect for my Dad. Divorce and child support issues did much to bring this about. It wasn't until I had children myself, as well as going through a divorce, that I really understood my Dad's side of the story. It was Mr. Peterson's talks and books that ultimately made me realize I needed to reconnect with my Father. I had been doing so in fits and starts, but never really gave it my all. Peterson convinced me to do so...and I thank him for that. Thank you Mr. Peterson...and thank you for sharing this.
This was so heart warming & brings great joy! Blessings to You & your family and thank you for sharing such beautiful, vulnerable moments.. shows exactly what healthy relationships we should all be striving for 🙏
Hey, I'm striving for a healthy intimate relationship. I'm looking for my wife now, and if you look anything like your profile picture, I'd like you! I'm an artist, that's why I'm so drawn to it. 😅 Don't worry, I don't look anything like my profile picture, although some have described me as a lone wolf. You see, I don't let people into my life easily but I'm literally on a quest now to find my wife. Sorry if I'm being too blunt, we could start with a nice conversation, and maybe save the marriage stuff for later. 😂 I'm pretty good looking, but I wouldn't give Dwayne Johnson a run for his money. I'm Canadian, but it doesn't matter where you live because I'm actually waiting for marriage to have sex. I know, crazy, right? Well, God's way shouldn't be crazy, it should be normal. Yes, I'm a Christian, and I'm heavily influenced by my faith. Just thought I'd reach out to a pretty girl who seems wise like you, that's a pretty good combination. LOL if your profile pic is just a random digital painting and you're a dude, you can completely ignore this comment. Also, if you're already married, you can completely ignore this comment. Only respond to this comment if you're an 18-29 year old single Christian woman who's looking for a serious relationship. Ok? Thanks for reading, God bless, and have a nice day! 🙏❤
What a Loving Human Being you are Jordan .. I Love Your ability to Value the Simplicity of Life. It's NO small thing .. ! Thank You for being Vulnerable. You exude Compassion 💝
I just thank God we have a guiding light like JP in our era. We have many others I know, thankfully, though JPs wisdom resonates deeply with me. Thank you so much Jordan 🙏
Jordan I absolutely love this video. Thank you for reposting. I can see where your lovingkindness for others comes from. Luv ya! ❤️✝️❤️😘 Loved it so much I viewed it twice.
This is touching. I wish I could interview my stepfather (raised me from 2 years old- 14 years old) but he would never participate in something like that hahaha. Heartwarming to see you and your father being open.
This is most wonderful. I would love to have a conversation like this with my dad, buy sadly he passed away when I was 13; I'm now 42. Strangely, he was 42 when he passed away. I will see him again one day in Heaven. This should encourage anyone to be open and talk with their parents if they are still alive, and let them know you love them and what they mean to you. When we are in Christ we have a Heavenly Father and that is our greatest treasure. But here on this Earth, let your parents know how much you appreciate them. God bless 🙌
It's a comfort to have history and so much love from Father and son because love is something very precious and even more so between parents and children. I'm crying so much for your mutual love and respect and I'm crying because mine didn't want to know about us and I still cry about it today. A hug from Portugal to the family and health.
It’s crazy that you two men are there. I’m 26, my mum has passed away and my dad I never hear from lives in a different state. The disparity is insane between you and I haha.
I am blessed to have had such an amazing dad. He was a man of strong faith in Christ, and he lived his faith. He brooked no shenanigans, but we knew he was always there for us. He took us camping, exploring, hiking, taking care of his bee hives. As we grew to adulthood, we became great friends. What an unmitigated luxury! To just pick up the phone, and talk to my Dad, about any and every thing. Pruning roses, installing a new clutch, how to make proper bean soup-all such joys. He was so wise, and like Jordan, my friends often came to my dad before coming to their own dads. When he died, so many people came to us and said that they looked at my dad as their own father. What an incredible gift! This is so touching and sweet. You are blessed to have had such a dear father.

This was great to see your interaction with your father Dr Peterson, thank you for this
INCREDIBLE! lots of things I cannot change with my dad, but I still have time with my kids. Thank you for this.
Made me cry. Thank you.
DAD PETERSON IS A LOVELY MAN!! LOVED HIS KIDS!! I can see he was a very good father and grandfather. A very honest man. LIKE FATHER LIKE
SON🤩
Thank you, Dr. Peterson!
The Walters and Jordans of the world are helping to cultivate a humanity that still has a chance. Thanks for doing it and sharing your stories.
Fantastic! 👍
Folks, the intense emotion being experienced by Peterson Jr. here is called gratitude.
Thank you so much for sharing this Jordan, it makes me value my dad so much more.
Awww. Like father like son. Families can be absolutely suffocating.
Happy Birthday Jordan
Don't remember when was the last time I cried)
Thank you)
Jordan I absolutely love this video.
Just so you know, i made it through through this without crying,, it was a close one though. You can tell he was a awesome Dad.
It’s crazy that you two men are there. I’m 26, my mum has passed away and my dad I never hear from lives in a different state. The disparity is insane between you and I haha.
That’s so sweet.
