Watch slowly, pause the video then rewatch and try to do it at the same time. Or do it after rewatching. Repeat a scene as much as you need, you are too difficult with yourselves. I just took my time, I never did crochet before, this is literally my very first attempt and by taking time I just finished to understand this tutorial in about 20 minutes. I was really surprised to see so many people in the comment saying they get stressed and cried of frustration because they have difficulties or get lost...
OMG. It has been so frustrating trying to learn how to crochet and I FINALLY found a video that helps me SO much! All the other videos go so fast, but I like how this goes slow so it’s easier to understand. Tysm!

Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I had to re-do some part a few times, but I think I finally got it. For anyone watching this who might be struggling with the crochet stich, keep going! 1. I found it got muuuuchhh easier after a few rows, once you have more to hold on too and it starts to take shape, it's a lot easier. 2. You can do 21 chain stitch instead of 11, I found it easier when I had a longer piece to work with.

Thank you so much for this video! I want to begin learning crocheting and this video looks perfect. I get a feeling that this might not be super easy to do in the beginning, but I am sure with practice I can get better! Also, I am doing the single stich, but I started w/ 15 chain stiches, because I want to make a scarf that is a little bit wider :) Thank you so much Ami! I have been practicing and I think I am getting the hang of both kinds of stiches!
SOO YES OK- THIS VIDEO ACTUALLY WORKED AMONGST ALL THE OTHER ONES WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UPPP!! THE WAY YOU EXPLAINED IT WAS PERFECT AND OS EASY TO LEARN TYYYY
Just echoing the other comments on this video, but after searching through a number of other tutorials, this one has actually clicked for me! I keep losing a stitch in my second and third rows so I'm just undoing and trying again over and over haha. Thank you!!
I was watching like a lot of videos on how to crochet but none of them helped 😭 but I saw your video and I watched it and it was the best of all 😊 your video helped me a lot like a lot THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤
I was just having a mental breakdown over not being able to do the chain stitch and your video saved me - Thank you! I've had no hobbies and I decided to try crochet. I'm not very good when it comes to crafts, but I thought I'd give it a try! Only problem is my chains are extremely small.. not to mention too tight. But I'm working on it - lol.
Omggg thank you soo much yesterday I got the first crochet hook ever and I was watching videos and video and the next which is today I found your video I saw this video 4 5 times and now I know how to do it thank you very much 😊😊🙌💞💕
Thanks Ami for this tutorial. It was wonderful because it was easy to follow and non stressful. It ultimately gave me confidence to keep trying and be happy with the very basic beginner work that I'm doing.🙂 I liked when you said to go and practice 100 stitches because I did just that. I stopped trying to learn EVERYTHING and just had fun doing that one thing over and again. You're awesome. Thanks so much 🙂
That's awesome that you did the 100 stitches!! Yes, repeating something over until you get the hang and feel of it definitely helps when you're beginning so I'm glad you did it! 🙌
For anyone reading the comments, my main tip is to definitely watch a few videos on single crochets before even touching your crochet stick. Like just watch it atleast few times (or more) if you need to and then try it really helps.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't figure out how to crochet until this video..... You must be especially good to explaining! Thank you for the help! I finally made chain stitches 😁😁
I’ve looked at several videos and could not understand until I came across your video! Finally!!! I made my first single crochet stitch!! I’m soooo happy! Thanks! 😊
I’m getting my crochet kit tomorrow so I’m gonna edit this comment/reply and tell the results of a beginner of how much I got better! (I start on Jan 22 2023) Btw thanks for tutorial! It helped me a lot for crochet knowledge :] Day 1:I know how to do slip knot yarn, how to hold the yarn, and a bit of chain stitches, but the yarn is soo annoying and keeps unraveling into mini yarn. It's just frustrating with the yarn. Besides that, my chain stitch turned pretty small and okay for an absolute beginner. Day 2: Single crochets are tricky for me and the yarn is still ripping. Still frustrating but more easier. Day 3: I think I mastered single crochet chains! Proud rn ;) Week 1:I was wrong about me knowing how to do single crochet stitches. Now I actually know how to do them! On my way to magic rings and plushies now! Week 1: Edited a bit late. I now know how to make magic rings and maybe plushies. Although they are a bit tricky, and I still need to learn increase more well and decrease. Week 2: Month 1: Conclusion: (Ends at feb 22 2023) Btw I hope this helps you get motivated to crochet! It seems fun to crochet just looking at it.

Engaging in this creative activity promotes relaxation, mindfulness, and stress relief. My brother and his wife are expecting twins in a few months. I've realized not a lot of baby blankets are being made. Only bought. So I wanted to take it upon myself to learn how to crochet them some blankets. I've watched dozens of videos, and each one has left me frustrated to the point of giving up. But after a few tries, I actually got the slip knot and chain started haha. Sure it's a little sloppy with some big chains. But it's better than me giving up! Thank you so much.
i am confused how you go under both chains in single crochet sticth step... i cannot get it right but it is first time so maybe i need practice? i don't know if it is that or i am doing it wrong
You explain everything so greatly which makes it easy to understand what to do, the only problem which I still haven’t been able to fix is that I tighten the knot every time I am crocheting a new row, which makes it so hard to continue, any tips on how to prevent that from happening?
It sounds like maybe your tension might be too tight? And you may be pulling your yarn too tight? I would work on maybe loosening tension if possible. Good luck!
I’m having the same problem. I’m making them too tight and can’t do the second row, it’s too hard to push through. So I need to work on making them looser
this is actually the only tutorial ive watched that didnt immediately confuse me and i finally got the first two steps down properly!!! thank you sm!! 😭

Thank you so very much! This was the easiest video I’ve watched and the only one that I actually had success in crocheting with! You are a wonderful teacher! Thanks so much!❤
Can’t tell you how many failed attempts I’ve had before finally getting it right all because of you!!! You are such a blessing! Automatic subscription from me. Thank you!!! ❤
For anyone looking for a simple, straightforward and well-explained tutorial, this video is it.
Thank you for this video!
Loving simple directions. Thank you! I’m a beginner. Thank you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Omg I’ve tried SOOO MANY videos but none of them have helped like you!!! Thank you so much! I will continue watching your vids to learn even more
None of these tutorials are working!! Do you have any other recommendation? :(
@@lmfao81788 I’m sorry I sadly don’t :( I hope you don’t give up and continue to try !
My aunt just passed yesterday and she had taught me how to sew and was starting to teach me how to crochet but got sick the past year and was never able to teach me how to do more than a chain. Figured I'd try and teach myself how to crochet and hope to make her proud. This video helped me a lot
THE BEST VIDEO TO LEARN CROCHET!!! OMGGGG TYSM I CAN FINALLY MAKE A PLUSHIE DINO FOR MY FRIEND'S BDAY!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this video! I want to begin learning crocheting and this video looks perfect. I get a feeling that this might not be super easy to do in the beginning, but I am sure with practice I can get better!
Also, I am doing the single stich, but I started w/ 15 chain stiches, because I want to make a scarf that is a little bit wider :)
Thank you so much Ami!
Thank you!!
This is the first tutorial I’ve seen that actually showed how to single crochet very well thank you ☺️
Nice to know I’m not the only one right now lol 😁 good luck 🍀
@@kylacorrina4682 good luck to you to 😁
This one is actually a good tutorial. I understood how to do it and she explained it in way that is easy to learn.
I was watching like a lot of videos on how to crochet but none of them helped 😭 but I saw your video and I watched it and it was the best of all 😊 your video helped me a lot like a lot
THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤❤
I was just having a mental breakdown over not being able to do the chain stitch and your video saved me - Thank you! I've had no hobbies and I decided to try crochet. I'm not very good when it comes to crafts, but I thought I'd give it a try! Only problem is my chains are extremely small.. not to mention too tight. But I'm working on it - lol.

Omggg thank you soo much yesterday I got the first crochet hook ever and I was watching videos and video and the next which is today I found your video I saw this video 4 5 times and now I know how to do it thank you very much 😊😊🙌💞💕
Thank you so much for this tutorial! You’re the best teacher, the other videos I’ve watched have been extremely confusing, I love your tutorials!
I tried several tutorials and I was on the verge of giving up until I watched your tutorial. I finally understood it!😊
Thanks Ami for this tutorial.
This was the clearest instruction! I finally understand about going through both parts of the loop. I’ve been doing it wrong all along!
When I first started crochet and made a scarf, I only put it through one loop too at first 😂
For anyone reading the comments, my main tip is to definitely watch a few videos on single crochets before even touching your crochet stick. Like just watch it atleast few times (or more) if you need to and then try it really helps.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who couldn't figure out how to crochet until this video..... You must be especially good to explaining! Thank you for the help! I finally made chain stitches 😁😁
using this video to make a baby blanket for my goddaughter!! thank you! 💕
This was the best tutorial I have ever watched!
I have tried for years to figure this out. Have had people try and teach me and watch many videos. I finally figured it out thanks to your video
I’ve looked at several videos and could not understand until I came across your video! Finally!!! I made my first single crochet stitch!! I’m soooo happy! Thanks! 😊
Thank you for this because now i can crochet ducks for my family
Yay ducks for everyone! 😉💛🐤
I’m getting my crochet kit tomorrow so I’m gonna edit this comment/reply and tell the results of a beginner of how much I got better! (I start on Jan 22 2023)
Btw thanks for tutorial! It helped me a lot for crochet knowledge :]
Day 1:I know how to do slip knot yarn, how to hold the yarn, and a bit of chain stitches, but the yarn is soo annoying and keeps unraveling into mini yarn.
Proud rn ;)
Week 1:I was wrong about me knowing how to do single crochet stitches. Now I actually know how to do them! On my way to magic rings and plushies now!
Week 1: Edited a bit late. I now know how to make magic rings and maybe plushies. Although they are a bit tricky, and I still need to learn increase more well and decrease.
Week 2:
Month 1:
Conclusion: (Ends at feb 22 2023)
Btw I hope this helps you get motivated to crochet! It seems fun to crochet just looking at it.
Cool! Good luck with crocheting! It’s a bit hard to understand at first but it gets easier to do after a few tries.

Edit: got my single down in less than a minute !!!
OMG I FINALLY LEARNT HOW TO CROCHET A SINGLE CROCHET THANK U SOOOO MUCH!!!
thank you so much for this step by step! I recently got a crocheting kit and was planning to make something for a friend for Christmas with no experience (ambitious, I know) this is just what i needed to get the hang of it before I make something🤩
Been wanting to crochet for a while now and finally got the things I needed to today! This was the most easiest tutorial and helped me learn the basics tysm!!! 🤩
I have seen and tried out a hundreds of videos in this platform for about a month.. and daring to say this one video is the best for all beginners 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
You are a life saver ❤..I tried alot of video tutorials and ended up stopping my crochet learning until I founded yours. You teach slowly which makes me calm and allowed myself to follow your step easily..Thank you ❤️ so much.
I am crying. This is stressful.
Same
I'm gonna cry I can't do chain stitches
I already am 😭😭😭
I felt the same when I first started, you might have bad quality yarn tho too if your yarn Phrase easily then you should probably get new yarn
I’m already crying
I have watched so many videos on how to crotchet. This is the only one that has really taught me a lot. Thank you so much for teaching me.😊
I was seriously gonna give up because I watched so many videos and none helped but she slowly tought u and went slow and explained so good!!!
Thank you!! I have been struggling with learning to crotchet for a bit now, but your video really helped me! ❤️ I'm off to practice like crazy now
I'm crocheting everybody I'm crocheting!!!
Me repeating the same words in my head lol 🎉
Me repeating the same words in my head lol 🎉😂😊
OH MY GOD I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO SINGLE CROCHET ALONG THE CHAIN THANK U SO MUCHHHH!!! my friend recommended this video to me and I’m so happy she did 😊
You go at the perfect speed to follow along too. And actually explain where the hook is meant to go. Thank you so much. This is the only useful video I've seen 😭🖤
Thank you so much for sharing this instructions, very simple and easy to follow - I’m starting my first crochet this afternoon :)

Same and I just started 2 secs ago
im gonna do a chrochet stich it was so fun my memory loss has been great bcos Crochet offers numerous benefits for brain health. Engaging in this creative activity promotes relaxation, mindfulness, and stress relief. Through the repetitive motions and concentration required, crochet helps sharpen focus and cognitive skills i love you bye
THANK YOU SO MUCH I WAS ABOUT TO QUIT CROCHETING
Keep at it! ❤️ And thank you for all your comments!
i am confused how you go under both chains in single crochet sticth step... i cannot get it right but it is first time so maybe i need practice? i don't know if it is that or i am doing it wrong
You are a saint I tried like 5 videos and I didn’t understand any of them until I tried this and it worked so well and I cant be any more happy
I watched a lot of other videos but it didn’t help but now I finally can do it. Thank you for making this video😆😆😚😚😻😻
You are the best person ever thank* you so much! 💖
You're the best too! Happy Crocheting! 💖
I have watched millions of videos, and this is the only one that helped me.
thank you so much! this helped alot :)
Thank you!! I’m new to your channel and this is super helpful!! Now is a good time to pick up a new hobby and learn to crochet 😊
Good to have you here! Crochet definitely is a great hobby to pick up. Hope you are safe and well and let me know how it goes!
Yes,!
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR LITERALLY HALF AN HOUR GOR A TUTORIAL I UNDERSTOOD, THIS WAS THE FIRST ONE!! TYSM
I JUST STARTED CROCHETING TODAY AND LITERALLY NONE OF THE OTHER VIDEOS WERE AS HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE AS THIS I THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤

Who got so lost and confused 😕🤔😂😅
MEE
this is actually the only tutorial ive watched that didnt immediately confuse me and i finally got the first two steps down properly!!! thank you sm!! 😭
When you get so frustrated you cut your hand with the yarn and ripped it and stomp on it and cut it and throw it at the neighbors house
