Ha, yes there is LOTS of good food in Rome!! We use a debit card without fees to get cash from ATMs while we travel. If you have the ability to do that, it often ends up being the cheapest way to get foreign currency.
6:15. I'm Italian, I was born in Rome. I know Frigidarium cause i was working in a restaurant close to that area for 1 year. The logical explanation is. That's frozen. Thank you sir.
Yes, don't do it!! Driving in Rome, let alone riding a motorino, is not for the faint at heart. I would not recommend renting a motorino in Rome unless you have a death wish. I grew up in Rome, even got my driver's license in Rome when I was 18. I would highly suggest public transport instead.
They didn't have any pizza seasoning because there's no such thing as pizza seasoning 😅 There's not only one way to "season" pizza, each recipe is different and you just use the necessary herbs/spices (IF necessary) case by case. On most pizzas, some fresh (NOT dry) basil is more than enough 😉
The local stores in Italy sell “pizza seasoning” which is a blend of local herbs, like oregano and parsley. That’s where we first found these herbs when we lived there 🙂 It’s delicious and we love it on our pizza!
Hey...this video really helps me a lot to plan for rome...thanks for sharing...just one thing can you help me on what will be the budget per day for food
Hi Tanay! So glad we could help you! Budgeting is difficult because everyone eats and drinks so differently. We've eaten really good meals throughout Italy with multiple courses, wine, and dessert for around 50-60 euros for two people. And you could definitely eat dinner more cheaply. A coffee or cappuccino should be 1.00-1.50 euro if you drink at the bar, gelato runs around 2.50-3.00 euro, most pastries are just a couple euro, aperitivo is usually in the 10 euro range, etc. Hope some of this helps!

Hi Harsimran! This was at Antico Forno Roscioli. We made a map of all the locations we visited in this video, which you can find here (aplinsinthealps.com/where-to-eat-in-rome-italy-the-best-italian-food-espresso-gelato/). Hope that helps!
Such a great video! Are there any healthy restaurants in the Trastevere area? Anything that you would recommend? We will be there in a few weeks…Thanks!
Hi Jana and Brett! Is there a particular town that you could recommend to be the base in Italy and be able to visit Interlaken Switzerland on a day trip or two day trip? Thank you!
Hi there! Unfortunately Interlaken is not very practical as a day trip to or from Italy. It takes about 4 hours by train from Milan, for example. We definitely think it's worth trying to visit both countries during your trip though-food in Italy, hiking in Switzerland-what could be better?!
Sorry you thought we were talking like toddlers 🤣 That’s such an interesting perspective because it’s not considered that way from where we live 🙃 That’s the beauty of languages!
Love your videos , but the description really misses the point. Places to eat but there's hardly any local restaurants you've mentioned on here and most the places sre either desert or cafe. I cannot be eating deser and drinking coffee all day 😩
It'is not forbidden to drink cappuccino in the afternoon, unless it's very hot outside. Cappuccino is not drunk during main meals, italians don't drink milk during lunch or dinner. Cappuccino is sweet and we don't eat it with pasta or meat. It would be like eating jam with... i don't know... with octopus.
Hi Gigi! We know it's not "forbidden." It's fun to observe the unwritten cultural rules, and even how some locals stick to them more strongly than others. Brett, for example, is totally fine with a cappuccino in the afternoon. But he would definitely never have one with a mean-especially not with pasta or meat ;)
Fun comment about Cappuccino. Many years ago I worked as a biologist in the Arctic with Inuit hunters. Whenever someone came from town to the hunting camp ( a two day snowmobile drive) they brought Del Monte Fruit Salad as a big treat. I cooked a meal (meat of course) for the hunters. I was puzzled when the Inuit guys started eating the fruit salad first. Their response was, "why don't you white people eat what you want when you want." So, "eat dessert first," and "eat what you want when you want," have become life philosophies for me. I'll be cycling from Munich and across Northern Italy to Rome starting next week. I speak enough French to understand the gist of Italian, but phrasing meaningful replies is not an option. Maybe I'll get Mr. Google to do a translation and then print up this little story for puzzled bar and restaurant staff if I want a Cappuccino in the afternoon. Thanks for making me think of this treasured memory - looking forward to eating well in Italy - especially great bread, great cheese, great wine and, of course, great coffee. Thanks for the tip about Cacio e Pepe - I'll try it.
As the owner of Come il latte i really would like to THANK you Soooo much❤️🙏🏻

Hi there! Unfortunately Interlaken is not very practical as a day trip to or from Italy. It takes about 4 hours by train from Milan, for example. We definitely think it's worth trying to visit both countries during your trip though-food in Italy, hiking in Switzerland-what could be better?!
Hi what's the name of the restaurant where u got ur caio de pepe
Il gelato è molto nutriente e può sostituire un pranzo, mangiarlo due volte in una settimana va ben, è meglio non esagerare.
It is delicious and nutritious! And tempting to eat more than twice a week 😉🍦
I'm liking the enthusiasm. But we're going to Rome in April and I'm a bit nervous about not making the best use of our time.
Rome is wonderful, and there is so much to do. As long as you enjoy your time, you're using it well! 😊
Hi! What is the name of the place at 3:20? The foccacia looks so good and I need to try it! 😄
Pause the video and you will see the name in the timeline.
Lovely couples ❤
Thank you so much 😊
I'm begging all people "yum" and "yummy" is like toddler talk!
Sorry you thought we were talking like toddlers 🤣 That’s such an interesting perspective because it’s not considered that way from where we live 🙃 That’s the beauty of languages!
Craving European food as much as we are? Check out our other food tour videos: th-cam.com/video/-QjPC3asgqM/w-d-xo.html
European food doesn't exist.
@@grethi8110 you don't exist
I will try it tomorrow
What did you end up trying?! And what did you think?
@@AplinsintheAlps I tried gelato from different places but come il latte gelateria the most delicious gelato in Rome.
In pandali restaurant I have tried the most delicious salad made from the seasonal fruits, and the tasty cakes.
Where can I find that pesto burrata??
Hi Douglas! We ate that at Antico Forno Roscioli.
Love your videos , but the description really misses the point. Places to eat but there's hardly any local restaurants you've mentioned on here and most the places sre either desert or cafe. I cannot be eating deser and drinking coffee all day 😩
Is it ok to put sugar in your cappuccino?
If you like it, do it! Cappuccino and espresso in Italy are almost always served with a pack of sugar.
I am going to be going to Rome solo female .. any advice for me?
It'is not forbidden to drink cappuccino in the afternoon, unless it's very hot outside. Cappuccino is not drunk during main meals, italians don't drink milk during lunch or dinner.
Cappuccino is sweet and we don't eat it with pasta or meat. It would be like eating jam with... i don't know... with octopus.
Hi Gigi! We know it's not "forbidden." It's fun to observe the unwritten cultural rules, and even how some locals stick to them more strongly than others.
Brett, for example, is totally fine with a cappuccino in the afternoon. But he would definitely never have one with a mean-especially not with pasta or meat ;)
sweet people
Aww you’re so kind! Thank you Sandro! 😊😊😊
Ha, love that! Eat (or drink) what you want when you want! Definitely enjoy a cappuccino for Brett - in the afternoon of course ;)
Is Rome vegan friendly???
What month is this?
