    ☕ SCIASCIA CAFFE 1919 | If you like espresso, don't miss the chocolate espresso from Sciascia! And they even sell their own beans so you can take some Italian coffee home with you.
    🛍️ CAFFE CASTRONI (International Food Store) | Searching for things to do in Rome and things to bring home with you after your Italian vacation? Shop here at Caffè Castroni! We like to buy Sicilian chocolate and loads of herbs (garlic, onion, basil, pizza seasoning, rosemary, herbs de Provence, etc.).
    🥐 LE CARRÉ FRANÇAIS | Wait a minute, aren’t we supposed to be eating Italian cuisine in Rome, Italy? Yes, but this may be the best French food outside of France, so add it to your list of places to eat in Rome! Tip: try a croissant, macaron, and whatever type of bread looks the best!
    🍕 ANTICO FORNO ROSCIOLI | Need a quick lunch in Rome? Grab some take-away from Roscioli! Here’s what we suggest: cacio e pepe (this may be the best pasta in Rome) and focaccia.
    ☕ SANT’ EUSTACHIO IL CAFFÈ | Another coffee spot? Italians love their coffee, and this is a local hotspot even though it’s one block from the Pantheon. Tip: It’s cheaper if you stand at the bar to drink your coffee, but it’s worth the extra cost to sit at a table and people watch!
    🍦 FRIGIDARIUM GELATERIA | Italians love coffee AND gelato (Italian ice cream)! And Jana is a self-proclaimed gelato connoisseur, so trust her opinion that this is one of the best gelaterias in Rome!
    🍪 BISCOTTIFICIO ARTIGIANO INNOCENTI | If gelato doesn’t satisfy your sweet tooth, maybe some cookies from this bakery will! We have been here so many times and love to see the same lady behind the counter. Everything here is handmade, and it'a all yummy. If they have any homemade crackers left, definitely grab those.
    🍷 DOPPIOZEROO APERITIVO | Aperitivo is a way of life in Rome, Italy (and really all of Italy). Here’s how it works: buy a drink and get free appetizers to go with it. Our suggestion: aperol spritz. It’s the orange drink that you’ll spot everywhere around 6pm.
    🍦 COME IL LATTE GELATERIA | And we’re going to end our DIY Food Tour in Rome, Italy with Jana’s favorite gelato in Rome! She’s been here probably 50 times (no joke) and still loves it. In fact, this is her second favorite gelateria in all of Italy, so it’s pretty special!

    • @AplinsintheAlps
      @AplinsintheAlps  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tanay! So glad we could help you! Budgeting is difficult because everyone eats and drinks so differently. We've eaten really good meals throughout Italy with multiple courses, wine, and dessert for around 50-60 euros for two people. And you could definitely eat dinner more cheaply. A coffee or cappuccino should be 1.00-1.50 euro if you drink at the bar, gelato runs around 2.50-3.00 euro, most pastries are just a couple euro, aperitivo is usually in the 10 euro range, etc. Hope some of this helps!

    They didn't have any pizza seasoning because there's no such thing as pizza seasoning 😅 There's not only one way to "season" pizza, each recipe is different and you just use the necessary herbs/spices (IF necessary) case by case. On most pizzas, some fresh (NOT dry) basil is more than enough 😉

    It'is not forbidden to drink cappuccino in the afternoon, unless it's very hot outside. Cappuccino is not drunk during main meals, italians don't drink milk during lunch or dinner.
