that is so beautiful! I have been saving all the videos . When I get done with the one I'm working on I'm definitely going to start this one. Thank you so much for the video.
Here's an easy way I worked out the 140sc across the bottom and top: 7 across each of the arrow sections 17 across each of the two popcorn sections 21 across each of the two diamond sections 22 across the popcorn hearts section That way if you mess up you only have to rip out one section instead of the whole thing.
Bonnie, thank you so much for these videos! I have just finished this afghan for my granddaughter who will be arriving in July. Not only did you help me create an heirloom for her, but you also helped me on my quitting smoking journey. I have only been crocheting for a year so this was very challenging for me, but it kept my mind off smoking for quite awhile. I am so proud of this creation and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
That is so very encouraging to me Julie! It is amazing that you were able to finish this after only crocheting for one year. You are one smart cookie!! Many blessings to you!
I had so much fun making this for my daughter. She chose extremely bright orange yarn! Your videos made this easy to follow. I’ve never done anything so detailed before but I finished it and had fun doing it.
Had my eye on this pattern for a minute. Just completed the throw except in red, a gift for my mother-in-law. Pretty tickled with the result!! Thanks for the guided tour 😀
It took twenty days, some of them scary. I thought I didn't have the expertise to make this but your absolutely superior explanations (and the pause button and backtracking) helped me get through it. Your calm encouragement never let me quit. I made it in a very soft butter color and it is one of the most beautiful throws I've ever made. The last stitch before the shells was the hardest, especially since I'm left-handed, but you are undoubtedly the Queen of Crochet. Thank you so much.
That really blessed me today Adalia! Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I would love to see your afghan! You can always post to my Bonnie Bay Crochet Facebook page if you can.
I have just finished making this for my nieces first birthday. Did it in a dusty pink kind of colour and little bit thicker yarn, absolutely love it. Thank you so much! On to find my next project amongst your videos :)
I have just finished this blanket.. I did mine in a chunky yarn using and 8 mm hook a 9 mm hook and a 7 mm hook... It took 30 100g balls following your video tutorials and the finished piece fits my King size bed perfectly.... Thank you so much for sharing this pattern with us all... I don't think I've made anything that I am so truly amazed by like I am this...
Thank you for this wonderful pattern and video series. This is one of the first things I made as I was teaching myself to crochet. I'm a visual learner, so the videos were perfect, and I learned so many new stitches too.
I just finished this throw blanket today, I love it. I wanted to challenge myself to learn some new stitches I'd never used before, so I'm grateful for having these videos that explain it so clearly. Thanks for the beautiful pattern!
thank you Bonnie! this series of video has been absolutely wonderful and informative! your step-by-step explanation of each panel, each stitch has been so fun and invaluable! I've learned so much while crocheting this amazing afghan alongside this extensive video! Thank you again! Blessed!
Love the Afghan. Thank you for your videos. I have literally this minute finished my Afghan. It’s so nice to find a video that is easy to follow. Thank you again for making the videos. 🧶🧶😊
Thank you for out this beautiful Aran Heart Throw in video. I made this throw to bless my mother for Mother’s Day. You have a wonderful teaching voice and which made it easy to understand, except for the woven stitch. Lol. I had to rewind many, many times before I could get the hang of it. Thank you again, I know my mom is going to love the throw just as much as I loved making it .
I'm so very happy to hear this Tonja! Yes, that woven stitch is just different enough to be challenging. Enjoy blessing your mother while you can! This will be my first without Mom, but how wonderful that she will be with the Lord for this one!
You are such a fantastic teacher ! Thank you so much for making such great tutorials to illustrate your beautiful work. I've just watched all the videos for this project and tomorrow I will be going straight to buy some yarn ... can't wait to begin ! Again, thank you so much !
I'm here Bonnie!!! Video 8. I made it. Thank you for all your encouragement while I was ripping out and redoing. You are awesome. Ok lets do the border. Again thank you.
Hi Bonnie it has been a pleasure to follow step by step all this 8 videos, and as a result I made something I have never thought i could, also I learnt how to take care of the stitches, how to recognize and count stiches and the most important “be patient”. Thank you dear Bonnie for share so much of your knowledge and for your great company all along this time. God bless you always
Thank you for your kind words Patricia! I'm so glad this worked out for you. You are so right - we can learn to grow in so many ways beyond the craft with many things in life. Blessings to you!
I’m excited to try this! Beautiful! I just finished the Celtic throw and I received so many compliments. It wasn’t perfect, but I am proud of myself! Thank you for teaching us. ❤️
I just finished mine! It’s beautiful! This is the first “real” pattern I’ve followed and it was a blast to see my personal progression! I’m mighty pleased with myself and I cannot wait to give this to my mom! Thank you for such a gorgeous project!!
Thanks so much for your videos I would not have been able to make this without them. After many rows being frogged I did it! It was challenging and I learned lots of new stitches. Thanks again ❤️
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I cannot read a pattern but thanks to your videos, I have just completed this in yellow for my mother-in-law's birthday! God bless you for sharing your talent with us all!
I would love to see your throw Jan! You can share on my Bonnie Bay Crochet Facebook page, or send to bonniebay@me.com if you are able. I'm so glad this worked well for you. You sound like another generous crocheter giving your work away! Blessings to you... Bonnie
Bonnie your tutorials are awesome!!! You really go into detail without being confusing. I’m new to crocheting and have undertaken a few of your projects. I’ve found them so easy to follow. This is the most beautiful pattern. I’m going to attempt this in baby blue for my grandson Joseph. He has a lot of problems which were caused at birth and loves feeling different textures. This would be amazing for him. Please NEVER stop doing tutorials. You’re a star Bonnie. Lots of love all the way from England ❤️😘
You really blessed me today with your sweet encouragement Tammy! Praying for your little guy right now. Yes, I understand the texture thing for your baby. I have two sons who were the same way. Blessings to you from the US!
I just finished this throw last night. I decided to put the border design around all sides. I have it in a delicate wash to soften up the Red Heart Ombre yarn in corals. It is to donate to my grandsons' school for their Spring fundraiser auction. I am very pleased with it and looking at another one of your tutorials for next years donation. I will include with the throw that it is one of your designs.
Liana, I would love to see a photo when you are done, if possible. I am on Facebook at Bonnie Bay Crochet, or you can email me at bonniebay@me.com. Blessings to you!
To show how interested I am in this pattern I am a VERY dyslexic person unfortunately and I have a hard time paying attention to even books I'm into deeply. I use to be able to read my Bible for hours and hours without much a break but now I have to force myself to pay attention to what I am reading. But I watched your videos all the way through (not without some trouble) without switching to something else for a few mins. I loved it. Hopefully going to try it soon. I'm working on another important project and I will need to order the yarn for this. But this has moved to the top of my list, lol. Tyfs God bless you
I am a fairly new crocheted and am excited about challenging myself with this Your instructions are so clear that I am sure I will have no problem Thank you so much
💖💖💖💖💖 Grazieeee ..so so much.. I crocheted this BEAUTIFUL Blankie & just finished it.. its comfy warm.. I love you way You do Your Tutorial.. its in a calm Modus..🌹
I want to thank you for all the tutorials for this pattern. I have learned so much and so easely with you. You are so clear with your explanations. I finished the aran and offered it to my husband for the Valentinés day.
love love love this Bonnie it is the most beautiful blanket I have ever seen. I haven't tried it yet but I have been watching all of your videos of this and love the teaching of it that you show. thank you.
hi bonnie omg how beautiful is this ,I have been watching you do this at different stages its gorgeous, I am at some point going to try it , because you teach us so well you are a lovely person to take the time and show us every stitch and detail that Has to be done thank you so much
I just watched all 8 tutorials. This is such a gorgeous Afghan, I can’t wait to make one for my daughter. Thank you so much!! and God bless you! ❤️🌈 ❤️ New subscriber here! 😊
HI Bonnie, thankyou so much for this lovely pattern and the way you make it so easy for us to follow. I am a confident crocheter but have never tried aran style before always fearful of how complicated patterns look. Well I decided to jump all in and follow along with your video and have just completed this CAL. it has turned out lovely, I am very impressed with it and no where near as hard as I had imagined. I have now got several of your books of amazon and I will be making your other throws too. wonderful thankyou. God Bless Kim x
Thanks for your kind words and support Kim! This means more than I can say. I'm especially glad that this worked out for you. You have clearly stated what I am always trying to share with other crocheters, which is that these aren't nearly as difficult as they look! Thanks for confirming this! Many blessings to you...
Hi Bonnie. Thank you so much for the videos! I tried the pattern on my own and it was a little wonky. The videos made all the difference. I’ll try to attach a picture of the finished product. I gave it to a coworker as a wedding present and she loved it. 👏🏼❤️
I would love to see it Kathie! You can always send a photo to me at bonniebay@me.com or post to my Bonnie Bay Crochet Facebook page. Wishing you all the best!
I finally finished the most beautiful project I have ever made. Thank you so much for your time. It was a little time consuming and a lot of patience but I did it and it turned out very beautiful. I hope to sign up to enter it in the fair ground for craft competition. Wish me luck.
I wish you all the very best in the fair Kathy! Be sure to hide all loose strands before entering. I thought I had done that one year but the judges found one loose strand. Made the difference between champion and grand champion. Please let us know how you do!
Hi Bonnie. I got a blue ribbon at the craft fair and offers to buy this beautiful throw. I can’t sell it. Because of you and your videos I have never crocheted anything so beautiful. Thank you so much for your time. You are the best.
Thankyou for making this series. This is the biggest project I've worked on so far and I've definately learnt throughout this, especially new stitches but also how I would approach this next time when changing yarn colors. Do an extra two rows of slip stitch and single crochet after the arrow stitch in the same color before switching to do a different color for the panels. All in all this has been a joyful experience and I just love this blanket =)
Hey Mary! There are about 4 other Aran Style afghans on my Bonnie Bay Crochet TH-cam channel. If you go to my page and click on "Playlists" you will see many more to choose from. Here's the direct link: th-cam.com/users/BonnieBayCrochetplaylists
That is absolutely epic! What a beautiful Afghan! I love watching your hands as you work: your tension is perfect. That makes for beautiful stitch definition. Some other videos I have watched, I find people’s tension too loose... and it annoys me a little...! 🥰 But I guess I’m somewhat fussy... Thank you so much for your patience and beautiful work! 🌹💐🇳🇿
Whew! I just finished this project using RH jumbo super saver in color Claret. It is a wedding gift. I’m so proud of myself for sticking to it and finishing it despite the many times i had to tear out and redo parts.... i wanted it right. Albiet, there are a few errors that i left, they aren’t noticeable and this throw will also serve as a metaphor for how much grit and love it takes to have a successful marriage even when mistakes are made. Thank you Bonnie for walking us through the pattern. I greatly appreciated it and I’m certain i wouldn’t have finished if you had not made the videos. 🤗
Video #8 all done! This was a very fun project. I learned some new stitches along the way. Found out that my little sister is having another little girl. Guess who's getting this for their baby. Thank you Bonnie for the wonderful videos. The format is perfect and having the PDF of the pattern to look at for reference was helpful too. I enjoyed this so much, I'm going to make another one with a color pattern. I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks again. And yes, I'm now a new subscriber!!!
That's great Joe! I'm so very glad that we are still friends after one of these throws! Congratulations on becoming an uncle. You crocheters always amaze me as to how generous you are with your giving spirit. Wishing you all the very best!
Thank you Bonnie, I have just completed mine (lavender). I'm trying to see how to upload it here . Thank you ever so much for a beautiful pattern & ur vids.
Oooh...I would love to see it! Can you send a photo to bonniebay@me.com? I love to share these with other crocheters to encourage them to give it a try.
And a great big thank you Bonnie for sharing this pattern I enjoyed doing it the popcorn stitches were a bit trying cuz there were so many I love this though I love it I wish I could send you a picture but I don't know how to do that LOL
I wish you the very best Ikpen! This one can be challenging, but if your stitches are even, and you can crochet a straight scarf without losing or adding stitches, you should be ready to give it a go!
I ordered for wool to start my project, behold, it was a not spurned wool and a 100%cotton spurned wool I got. Pls bonnie I'm at my wits end, what do I do with such, when I'm just a beginner😢
@@ikpenlydia6392 Oh dear. Most of these should take returns. Can you share the name of the company with me? If it's a major one they should definitely honor and make good on their errors.
Congratulations! Wishing you the very best now and especially in July! My first baby was supposed to be born in July, but she decided that August was a better month! Blessings, Bonnie Barker BonnieBayCrochet.com
Thank you so much for what you have done!!!! Wonderful throw and wonderful instruction!!! You are great!!! Thanks again from Milan. I shared your tutorial on fb? God bless you!
Absolutely fantastic been looking for interesting crocheting topics and u blew me away with ur tutorials thank you and I subscribed Michelle UK left hand crocheter xx
Hi Bonnie thank you so much for doing all these videos for the crochet community, you really are amazing! We should all be so thankful there are people like you who are willing to give of their time and share their talents and skills. It’s been an amazing journey for me in making this blanket. I’m almost there but just a quick question. Can the edging done on the top and bottom of the blanket be done all around the blanket? I would like to do another one but as a mat or rug. God bless you….you wonderful woman!
Thank you for your encouraging comments Cloudydaez. You certainly can work the edging all the way around as long as you don't mind figuring out how to do this. Should be easy enough. You may have to skip more or fewer stitches here or there, but very doable! I do have many other texturized throws here should you want to try something new: th-cam.com/play/PLoIugZBYOS0Udr7tGiPfi-17m6DSeUI02.html
Magnifique mooi! Unbelievably beautiful in Flemish! I was working on my first throw but have decided to stop that one and start on this one as it is a) sooooo pretty and b) excellent explanations by you Bonnie. Only challenge I'll have is to do it in 2 different colours so if you have any tips, let me know. Wish me luck. Groetjes (regards in Flemish), Martina
that is so beautiful! I have been saving all the videos . When I get done with the one I'm working on I'm definitely going to start this one. Thank you so much for the video.
You are very welcome Lonna! I'll be posting more projects regularly, so stay tuned...and I promise they won't all require such a big commitment!
Lonna Privett I noticed your last name. Is it just 7 letters "Privett"? My maiden name was "Privette". Just wondering. lglenn17@cfl.rr.com
The last name has been charged. I was told a long time ago. I'm married to a Privett.
Here's an easy way I worked out the 140sc across the bottom and top:
7 across each of the arrow sections
17 across each of the two popcorn sections
21 across each of the two diamond sections
22 across the popcorn hearts section
That way if you mess up you only have to rip out one section instead of the whole thing.
Thanks for sharing this Cat Tobin!
Yes, thank you for saving me from having to figure it out 😎
Thank you

That’s great Laura. I bet that color is delightful!❤️❤️❤️
It took twenty days, some of them scary. I thought I didn't have the expertise to make this but your absolutely superior explanations (and the pause button and backtracking) helped me get through it. This is a beautiful throw I did it and I am really enjoying it. Took me 4 months to do I love this color I used neon pink.
This has been my favorite project to work on! :)
Thank you so very much.. you are an amazing teacher...any beginner would learn a lot from you.
Dortea
Thank you Dortea. 😊❤️
I am knitting and I am happy… .Thank you very much
Love love your great tutorials! This is just so beautiful.
I finished the Bonnie Bay throw. It's beautiful thank you Bonnie for your tutorial I hope you are going to give more!
Hey Mary! There are about 4 other Aran Style afghans on my Bonnie Bay Crochet TH-cam channel. If you go to my page and click on "Playlists" you will see many more to choose from. Here's the direct link: th-cam.com/users/BonnieBayCrochetplaylists
How big did it come out?
That is absolutely epic! What a beautiful Afghan! I love watching your hands as you work: your tension is perfect. That makes for beautiful stitch definition. Some other videos I have watched, I find people’s tension too loose... and it annoys me a little...! 🥰 But I guess I’m somewhat fussy...
Thank you so much for your patience and beautiful work! 🌹💐🇳🇿
This blanket is beautiful!! Thank you so much for your tutorials! 😊❣
The joy is all mine Kristin! Blessings to you...
So glad this worked out for you Joy! Yes, sometimes the learning curves take time and effort, but hopefully it was worth it. Many blessings to you!
did you use all of the 11 balls of yarn?
Absolutely gorgeous....definitely going to try this as I confuse myself with a pattern but with your video's I can follow , Thank you :)
Fabulous videos, thankyou from Australia! :)

Mary Boland can you try sending a photo of your work to bonniebay@me.com or post on my BonnieBay Crochet Facebook page? I would love to see!
Absolutely beautiful!
Heart blanket so beautiful
Thanks bonnie. I'm just a beginner, but so anxious to learn more. Thanks for d video, I downloaded 8 of them.
If they sent you the wrong yarn, can you just return it?
@@BonnieBayCrochet it's an online marketer. I'm so sad.
@@ikpenlydia6392 Oh dear. Most of these should take returns. Can you share the name of the company with me? If it's a major one they should definitely honor and make good on their errors.
absolutely stunning 😍😍 hopefully I can finnish it before my daughter is born in july . thank u so much for the video's !
Congratulations! Wishing you the very best now and especially in July! My first baby was supposed to be born in July, but she decided that August was a better month!

Michelle Cowell Welcome aboard!
Thankyou! Love your shaw too :)
Groetjes (regards in Flemish), Martina
it’s beautiful 🌷🌸🌺💐🌻
finished my antique white one in caron one pound and more than halfway through my second one in red heart comfort grey
