I've always known it as a
rope stitch. Beautiful. Can't wait to start this one.❤❤

Meant to also ask - Do suggest blocking the throw on completion

Hi Bonnie, quick question. Is the shell stitch always worked on the wrong side so the backside is on the right side? I am almost done!!! Thanks ~ Lorna

I could only find righthanded. But very easy to follow.

Hi Bonnie. Nearly finished. My throw is about 47 wide (my adjustments for 8ply wool was slightly out). I have started the weave trim. Can I extend this to get my length longer? How many inches was your edge from woven to picot edge? And how many inches can I do to balance my throw? Will be a Christmas gift to my daughter.
    Cheers, Yvonne.

That’s really your personal preference on length, but I would go with what you think looks good. You can always swatch a small section on the end (go back and forth on the edge with small rows to get the depth you like) instead of working full rows and having to rip out later.

grammasscotsgirl I have seen these at AC Moore and Joanne Fabrics. You should be able to order them online. They are called “Knit Clips” by Susan Bates.

Why don't you show us the finished piece?

This was one of the first video series I recorded a few years ago and honestly I was very new to this process. I didn’t have a completed throw to show when I began. The original was completed and sent to the Red Heart Yarn company years before filming. Chalk it up to being a novice.😊
