Hello everyone! This past weekend was full of excitement! The first River valley TH-cam meetup was a success. With that even over, we wanted to get right back to work on the green house. We went to town and got more supplies that we needed to continue work. In this video, you get a better glimpse of our vision for this greenhouse. Thank you all for being here, we appreciate you. Enjoy!

I am different from the others. Paint the exterior a pale blue or green. It actually discourages wasps from building their nests there. A light cheery color for the interior, a place you will want to stay in throughout the winter. Love how it is changing the feel.
I saw a greenhouse that they hand painted flowers all around the bottom outside. It was so cute. They made different heights and layered them over on another. By the time they finished all of the wood was completely covered. Soooo many different styles and colors.
That’s exactly what I was envisioning.
@@susanjones8748 I was just sitting here thinking 💭… another thing about doing this is, it would make a great video. She could probably get a lot of people who would watch, and offer ideas in comments on their vision of plants and flowers to paint.
Paint it a light green, like teal, or a grayish teal. Then use your painting skills and paint some pretty flowers around the bottom, and maybe paint some mushrooms, gnomes, and bees and butterflies.
Yes that would look so good
When we were first married our next door neighbors were the nicest family. She was a nurse & he was a contractor. He was missing his thumb & pointer finger on his main hand.
They told us one day Jim had reached under the saw horses to grab the saw's electrical cord to get it out of harms way. He was in the process of cutting & his hand touched the moving blade & it took his two digits off before he knew it. Accidents happen so fast. Looking good
Practice safety!!!
Paint it a color that always makes you happy and joyful when you see it so that it welcomes you into your garden
Because it’s a greenhouse I’d paint the inside white to reflect the light. My folks once had a house with a light colored living room, not dark at all, but when they painted it white their house plants exploded in size! It was amazing.
LIGHT GREEN ON THE OUTSIDE TO BLEND IN WITH THE SURROUND. CHEERFUL FLOWER COLORS ON THE INSIDE. LIKE EACH INSIDE A DIFFERENT FLOWER COLOR
I would stain not paint. Remember paint will flack and peel. So youd have to sand and scrap to repaint. I would go with a light color so you don't take away from the beauty of the garden. I'd want visitors to notice my garden over a bright colored green house. Let the green house blend in to the garden.
Wonderful job
Green on outside and butter yellow on the inside like sunshine
Now I see the vision! You are so right, it is looking Great! And 4 windows are enough!
I like the idea of matching the siding to the house. I also like the idea of painting flowers and plants too. Do both it ties it in with your other buildings, and the flowers will make it stand out
So nice of Rusty and Rachel to bring you plants!
Yes we are lucky :)
Of course it should be green!
You might need to add some soil to your raised beds before planting them. It looks like your soil is much lower this season.
If you use leaves and wood debrie (like they did) under the soil, there would be natural decay and soil would go lower. Just need to add when you can. Does not effect planting though.
Anthony and Roxanne, Susan and I cannot thank you enough for making us feel so welcome at the meetup. Answering our questions and sharing great conversation about your lives with us. God bless you both and your families! Stay safe and hope to get the chance to meet you again! Bye!
Our pleasure!
Use a thick nap roller on the exterior T111....,sanding it would be a HUGE HEADACHE...
Yes I see lots on here I want to screem use a thick roller
Rox & Ant, well that is simple, all of the siding green with either white or black trim! It is after all a "Greenhouse"! It is just, do you want to make the trim match the house or stand alone! ❤❤
I love the green house. And the roses are beautiful. You did it the way I was hoping.
Paint your siding green on the outside. Then you can also paint flowers or vegetables on that as well. It is a greenhouse, after all.
Amazing job!!! when I had my garden house built, I painted the inside white. All the artwork I put on the walls was really sweet, and the plants really showed nicely. I also added shade cloth on my roof as it was getting toasty, and it worked well. Can't wait to see the end result.....You are a power couple!
It’s looking amazing y’all. Anthony has become quite the carpenter. So happy for you Roxanne. You two are an awesome team.
COULD YOU PUT PLANTS AND FLOWERS ON THE WOOD? I love Pintrest!
It is a green house. Paint it green!!
Hiya Anthony and Roxanne, greenhouse is looking great. Just a suggestion for your greenhouse, on the interior waterproof with waterproofing white paint. You'll be glad you did. Especially when you are watering your plants. Treated lumber is slick when wet.
Tomatillos is great in guacamole. Along with a little bit of green and red peppers for color. Also you should consider buying a couple of Guacamole trees.
Sending ❤️ 🙏
It all makes perfect sense now and it will make an awesome greenhouse/potting shed!
It looks fabulous ❤ How about the same stain you used on the house the work shed and keep it flowing! It will preserve the wood and I love the color! Anyways you will make it look good no matter. Can’t wait to see the finishing.
You could paint your green house your favorite shade of green!
Paint it a green color. Wasp etc won't be attracted to it. It's really looking good. It's getting closer to be completed. ❤❤❤
I would do a "greenwash". It's looking SOOOOOO good!
Personally I think y'all are doing a fantastic job on the green house. Enjoyed watching.
Thanks for the garden updated it's always nice to see progress in the growing season
It's coming together nicely!!!
You guys are doing great! Lucky lady. Next years seedlings are going to be great!
I would go with the same color as the house and thunder
Really love your greenhouse. It does look bigger. 😊
You are making EXCELLENT PROGRESS!!! 🥰🎶🌻🎶🏡❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi Roxanne and Anthony, your Green house is looking great! I agree with Debrahudson blue or green! Love your channel keep up the fantastic job! Your Homestead looks Beautiful
Next year Roxanne you can start your seedlings in the greenhouse and then transplant them to your garden. I guarantee you will have much better results with your pepper and tomato plants. The greenhouse is looking amazing. If you're going to paint it I would first put a primer on. That will help seal it and make the paint adhere better and I would use a good quality exterior paint. I would use batten boards for the seams and also trim it out with 1x 4's. My color of choice for the paint would be sea foam green or gray and trim in white. Whatever you choose to do to the siding will look awesome, I'm sure.
Fantastic job on the green house it's really taking shape.
A few pointers if I may.
1. You need wider saw horses.
2. Use a couple sacrificial 2x4’s on horses to support sheet material.
3. Set the table on skill saw so that the blade is only sticking about 1/2” below what you’re cutting. Big safety issue and avoid kick back .
Looking good though!
If you put 2 2×4's in the slots on top of the saw horses it will give you a sturdier platform to cut on. The length of the 2×4's determines how big of area you need.
The green house is looking Fabulous can't wait to see when it's all done ❤️🇨🇦
Paint the bottom half green and use a good outdoor pouch paint that will last for years. 👍🏻
The green house is looking fantastic. Love your design. What a nice addition to your beautiful yard. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
When grass invades a bed, you can only eliminate it if you get the roots, otherwise broken plants multiply faster. I know cause I have a flower bed that tries my patience. God bless always.
On your potted vegetables make sure you have a hole in bottom of pot so the roots won't be standing in water and get root rot.also try what Gary and Mel did and put ground cover to keep the weeds down.
Sage green with cream framing would look beautiful xx my favourite colour combination 🥰
Rox and Ant I did the switch. To patriot switch. I wanted to say thank you for letting I and other people to better our lives.
America First!
The T 11 siding shoukd stain up nicely. Use the ceiling stain you used inside the house. You can then use Thompson weather seal clear satin so it's not shiny. Put in blocking on the inside where you will attach your work benches. Going to be nice. ❤❤ Yes changes the feel in the garden and yes looks really big now 😂😂❤❤
OMG I LOVE THE GREENHOUSE SOOOOOO MUCH!!! 😍😍😍
A lovely light sage green - it will look like a proper country green house then. It will blend in with your lovely cottage themed fencing and garden entrance.
Use the green you put in the living room. Great color. Then Thomson seal the areas.
Green for the out side on your new Greenhouse. Something cozy you like for inside , think about what you would enjoy in there for winter months.
Great looking green house! That will be great for starting seeds and prolonging your growing season in the fall and winter.
I love everything about this homestead. It’s just so perfect.❤
(Paint it green with black trim)
I have a little(Not so little) shed in the back yard made out of this, maybe a little thicker not sure, but we wanted a red barn, so we painted it a barn red. It has lasted for years! So paint or stain will work fine. I like the idea of a sage green color! LOL It's really what do you like? Can't wait to see it all done!
Looks great!!!
Your T one-11 siding is going to be a blessing!
If it was my greenhouse, I would paint all the wood white before you put the clear siding on because you will see it through the siding as well whatever color you use
Rox’s and Ant 🐜 I love the Green House already ❤❤
Love the progress on your green house. As usual Anthony has done a great job. Love your videos😍
Green house looks great, and I'm sure it will be done in time for starting your fall garden!!!😊🎉❤ Whoot Whoot
A soft grey-green (sage) is very gardeny and perfect!
I would do a green wash or paint on the greenhouse.
GO Anthony 🇺🇸
Since your siding sits on top of your floor, I would caulk the seam so rain water doesn't seep in. Looks good so far.
Green-Gray exterier paint would do the job i painted my building 40 years ago it never needed again.
before you go to much further, you need to look at Suits to Boots Green House. Very Nice Ideas
No, dont sand Rox. Just get a big fat roller and use that. A light sage green would be beautiful. But whatever you choose will be perfect.
19:24 Rox, I leaned the hard way that holes need to be drilled in the pots or the dirt will get muddy and cause mold, I think that’s what it causes, either way it will kill them. Some pots have circles on the bottom that will allow you to use a screwdriver to punch them out. I usually take a drill bit to mine.
Tan with a black or white trim would go great with your home color!! It looks wonderful. Hard work pays off!!!!!
Rox, a Channel called "From Dream To Seed just put out a short on Companion Planting! Take a pen and paper! ❤❤
Hey Rox, since this is going to be your she-shed, I think a springy Mint Green with a pretty light pink or if your not into pink a light yellow trim.
Either green or to match your house, which would be cool.
Stain first and then Spray on "Thompsons Water Seal" for the T1-11
Yes tomatillos are from the tomato family. You make salsa verde with them. You can roast them on the grill or pan or boil them to make the salsa.
I was thinking green as well. You could decorate it with some of you craft flowers.
hey roxy you should paint the green house with a base colour then get all the kids to paint flowers and critters all over
Stain it the same color as the fence and gate might need to put rain spouts to keep the rain off the plywood so it wont warp
light olive green for the green house ! with red accessaries 1
I’d put a clear coat on the siding. Nice work on the greenhouse and love your newly potted plants.
I’d go with black paint. It will work with the sheds and look cohesive.
Looks awesome! This is the picture I had in my head on this build! And I think it would look nice to match all of your buildings on your property.❤
light green for the greenhouse
Paint the greenhouse pale green. It will blend into the garden. 🌺
Don't give up on the pepper seeds you put in. Peppers need hot soil to sprout and it takes them a long time to sprout. It took my seeds a good month under grow lights in the house to even see anything at all.
I thought you 2 would paint it the color or your home n pole barn with black trim but stain would be pretty too. 🤷♀️
I feel you should match your green house with your main house.....as far as color.....so everything ties together...great job on your new adventure ,it's going to be a beautiful addition to the homestead..lots of fruits ,veggies plants..love it!
I held my thoughts and questions because I had a feeling a lot of the greenhouse was going to the clear plastic stuff. It's turning out so good! I assumed you were going to stain it to match your house, ect., but truthfully I'd love to see it a different color. I'm thinking a sky blue or a shade of green. I watch another channel who has used that siding on their house and they were able to stain it. It takes a lot though because it's so porous and rough.
I'm amazed at all the builds you both have done in a little over two years! Great job 👏!! It all looks beautiful 😍 😊❤
When there is a will, There is a way
Paint or spray pain it color of green plants. It will blend in with the garden plants.
We used siding on garden shed. Had to get special brush it looks like scrub brush. Works real good its nade for this product
ANTHONY - THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE 🇺🇲
I wanted to say thank you for giving every know about buying from me lacuna. I can't wait to get my products. I will feel better now for I and my husband and fur babies. Thank you, thank you
You are so welcome!
paint or stain same as house ,Really like the build, good job guys
Use same color as house so they all match
Roxanne , I would just seal it for weather, and leave it a natural state to match the fencing around the garden.❤
Use the same color that is on your house and thunderdome.
Love your roses! Love Watching!
Yay! Thank you!
The bottom is T2 siding you don’t have to sand it. I would paint the green house a pale green to blend in with the gardens. You both have done a fantastic job on the house and green house! 👏👏👏👏
Garden and greenhouse is looking great. Thanks for sharing✌️🇺🇸
