- THE GWM CANNON HAS CONQUERED CAPE YORK!
We ran out of fuel again! I think we are having a few little dramas with the fuel we have in the tank. Not sure whats going on. Worry about that later hahahaha
We visit The Lions Den Hotel, such an awesome pub with amazing foods!
We do a day trip to Cooktown and head down to Cairns.
I fitted the Savage Tech Beast Bar and the Savage Tech Ute Tub Rack.
Check them out at www.savagetech.com.au
We're also selling shirts now!

Thanks for watching guys! Cheers
They make some cool custom grilles for that truck, stock looks fine but I'd be tempted to add a custom touch with one. Thumbs up on the video. 👍
Existing Ute Ford Ranger.
Future Ute Great Wall.
You’ve proven it’s worth. Glad you didn’t hold back on it.
Thanks for watching along. Haha 100% we have put this thing to the test! Still a beautiful ute to drive even after 1 year of brutality 😄
Love how the kids found chicken eggs and in the background you can hear plovers going off like there eggs just got stolen lol
Hahahaha woops 😅
They did put them back 😄
Sorry plovers
Thanks for the video. Another awesome trip. Love it.
Thanks for watching! :)
Love the feedback 😀
@@wheelsbytheocean thanks. Watching the 'Why we skipped Uluru' trip now 🤣🤣 Ep 80 🤣🤣
Love your care free attitudes.
Thank you 🍻
Picking up my brand new Cannon X tomorrow morning after watching alot of your videos. So bloody excited!
Also, have you ever considered star link for internet? It would be worth looking into.
Thats awesome! You're going to love it!!!
Thanks for watching along :)
Mate! We really really should have got Starlink. 100% would of been a heaps good investment. Next time!! We have just about complete our full lap of Oz now. Just planning what's to come next :)
Cheers mate and enjoy your GWM!
@@wheelsbytheocean That’s awesome!, it’s been a bloody trip and a half. I’m keen to see what you guys decide to do next!
Either way I’ll be watching!, picked the Cannon up this morning and I’m just in love. 200 kms on the first day (oops) such a great car and such an awesome experience picking it up!
Someone at GWM needs to give you commission 😉
@DansGotPlans bloody awesome ute!! Still love driving mine. Still look back at it when I park it haha
So nice to drive hey!!
Cheers mate! 🍻 yeah I'm trying to set something up with GWM but I'm doubtful. Want to start reviewing some cars for them perhaps.
Yeah got a few things on the agenda in the coming weeks haha going to be great
Got a few more eps to get out of the east coast
I'm that close to getting an X. Just need to sell my Hilux. Have pre-approval or mortgage top-up.
I've driven a couple, and follow these awesome vids. There's a lot of haters of GWM, but unless you own one or actually understand they're a great rig, people will knock them.
I hope you're enjoying your new beast!!
Let me know of any issues (I doubt you will have any..) if you notice any.
Cheers, and happy cruising.
awesome vid guys,..... I lived in Thirroul for 9 years... drove and still do Bulli Pass
Hahaha it was a great memory driving from Campbelltown to Thirroul daily to hit the beach when I first got my licence. Loved it! (Jordan)
Cheers 🍻
I was of the belief you're a motor mechanic.
The purpose of the light is to notify you that there is water in the diesel (yes water does get in) hence the warning light.
Your filter will have a water sensor, well most diesels do.
Drain your filter if you can, unsure on GWM. Once drained, prime your fuel pump and try draining again.
You would have heard of injector failure and thats what will happen to you if you ignore this light.
Injection failure will have you dribbling diesel into cylinder, causing too much heat, then piston failure.
Do not ignore this light.
Jerry cans are known to collect condensation with heating in sun cooling at night.
Fuel tanks being ventilated dont cause as much condensation.
Haha true man :)
I've had the ute at two GWM dealers and haven't had any luck. Both tested the fuel and there's no water in it. One changed the fuel filter too. I've drained the water seperator a million times but light keeps coming on. I think it's either a faulty earth on sensor which I'm going to relocate in next day or so. If that doesn't work then maybe it's actually something at bottom of tank perhaps. But as I said fuel has been test twice. Like it was at GWM yesterday haha. Light still coming on.
@@wheelsbytheocean good god, I'd be so concerned knowing the consequences. I drained my entire tank previously just cause this light came on. I'd be certainly cracking drain plug and checking for water in what comes out.
Can't you remove filter yourself, drain into clear container, replace it, then study fuel in container to see if any water separates.
Diesel floats on water.
Drain fuel separator into a clear container also and study.
I installed a secondary fuel filter with glass base so I can clearly see any contamination just by popping the bonnet, I'm paranoid as remote fuel supplies can be sceptical, sometimes.
In my old cruiser I got contaminated fuel twice, both times light came on I immediately stopped, drained fuel bowl & yes, water in each case.
Daughter had a Hilux, ignored the light, next thing knocking and then new motor required. Yes, paranoid with experience.
GWM should be taking this more seriously. At least if it goes bang you have a record of dealers attending the issue, that should work in your favour.
@ianweal3081 true :)
Thanks mate. Will have a look into it very soon, yeah I was working at Toyota when the hiluxs were have massive injector issues because or Algae in fuel, was a nightmare. Cheers mate 🍻
Sick vid as usual. keep smashing it 💪
Thank you 😀
Hey guys love your show
just curious i may have missed an episode, what happened to the bull bar
Haha Na you didn't miss anything. I just put a few of my review / how to vids in out of order. Bullbar will be on allllll future videos
Bullbar no bullbar ,, whats going on ???,,, my head hurts !!
Hahaha! We have finally arrived at the episode (EP86) where I was fitting the bullbar. You would have seen me with my tools and shit everywhere as this was the camp we did it all at in Cairns.
You'll never need to worry about it again as the bullbar will be in every ep after this one haha
Cheers mate
😂😂
When u guys from as u travel
We are from Brisbane 😀
How do you adjust the true pressure indicators to a lower pressure
Sorry I have no idea. I wish I knew how to disable them as I have no sensors in my wheels :(
First!
WOOOO hahaha
