I saw Bobby Robson's interview about England in World Cup 1990. I'll never forget what he said. He said "We were so close, yet so far" with such a sad tone.

Wish we could go back to the time when only the league champions in every country qualified for the Champions League, and the European cup winners cup was still around. Then you would have 3 tournaments filled with great teams instead of one with all the big teams. And 2 others with good to average teams. Maybe not this year, but the Europa League final is usually made up of the teams that weren't good enough to progress through the Champions League group stage.
