we have had a great rigger give us a discount, and reached the fundraising goal so all going ahead!

I cannot understand WHY you dont have 100k subs, What the hell do people want... ive been a supporter for like 3 yrs. I hope you can get new rigging soon.. i'll do what i can on the first next month.. THANK you for being who you are 07
I'm a sub, but I will answer anyway. From my point of view. There are not enough passage videos. Too much stuff about the nitty gritty. Forget about provisioning videos. You sail somewhere, show us the trip. You live in paradise, show us a piece of it.
Thank you! Yeh I think we don't fall into the 'standard' - pretty islands, bikinis, putting everything we feel/do online etc. For us it really is more about helping animals than getting insta-famous, we are ok with that! But appreciate your kind words, and here's hoping the channel just keeps growing with awesome people like you supporting and watching!
Papa bear said "my soup's too hot". Baby bear said "my soup's too cold". Mama bear said "bitch, bitch, bitch. I haven't even poured the darn soup yet". But tomorrow, tomorrow, the sun will come out tomorrow. And tomorrow will be a better day. 😂Keep on with your good works
Welcome to my world where a 5 minute job takes a day or more. Just as well Im retired now but sometimes it's best to get the professionals to do the job.
On the rigging, I recently had my 17.5 meter above water line mast re rigged including an added removable inner fore stay replaced all new for 9,000 euro including the 20% VAT (in the Netherlands), so I’m surprised that this will cost so much in Mexico.
Labor in Baja is basically California prices for boats these days, and we have to order all the parts from the states and pay the IVA tax, but will end up being a similar price to yours I think
Got a crazy idea about your rigging. There will be a lot of boats totaled from the hurricanes in the states. Why not salvage "new" rigging. just an idea.
Yeh, that could work for sure, I guess just would want to be sure no stress damage happened to the rigging (my understanding is it can look find from the outside). Thankfully though we have had a rigger discount what we need and reached the fundraising goal so all going ahead!
as someone who works for a telecom company, running out of numbers has actually been a problem for a while, and numbers get reassigned quite quickly when they're available
"Girl in Bikini" - well now that the clickbait is out of the way, lets hear the complaints. BTW, congrats - your fundraiser goal has been reached (and surpassed).
Calling it how it is haha. Thank you really excited we can go ahead with the boat projects this season - rigging, shaft seal, adjusting some of the rudder bearings etc
Sailcare has a rig shop, she should approach them for a sponsorship. Otherwise just do the primary shrouds. And follow Johnny Cash model, "one piece at a time."
Navionics is a great program, but shit to renew when it runs out. I had the same problem, my tablet was apparently too old to renew Navionics, so buy new tablet, load Navionics, all good. Until..... I had to renew it this year, Navionics would not take my password or let me put in a new one, so no renewal. Luckily I downloaded all the East coast of Australia so will do without updates for as long as I can.
Yeh it is a little frustrating isn't it... and they recently changed it to limit the number of devices too, which I don't like because having a back up of the back is kind of crucial on a sailboat!
I think only a boat owner would understand this but thanks I feel better now about my problems your filter looks like my water smells. At least I don't have parasites
Update your fundraising target to reflect the increased budget, and then some more as prices increases sure aren't going to slow, then the contingencies need to increase accordingly. I feel for your interconnected redundancy. It is horrifying how we have all become slaves to it, yet the processes we rely on have become more complex, more unreliable, take longer due to staffing, training, the additional complexity, more legislation. By enabling and supporting some standard levels of interoperability, it seems we have been co-opted into various other levels and dimensions too, our data sold, etc. everything needing to be kept in step. I would recommend getting some metal cutting tools, an oscillating tool, something like a dremel hand tool, etc. Hope you can get the microbiomes back on track!
Thank you, so far we seem to be parasite free (took a long course of probiotics which helped!). Totally agree re redundancy/planned obsolescences, drives me crazy!
Ias best i know i believe as a nonprofit organization the people, doctors, directors, and others need to live financially from the organization when the needs are there. Another option, close the doors. Therefore do not starve yourself when a few less animals are helped, without you they have no one, no mission. at present as the director with your needs are met...donations need little or no restrictions in regards to distribution as spendage, appointments,as the directors know best...por favor, gracias, bendiciones...m
Thankfully we reached our fundraising goal, so we are buying some. Believe it or not volunteering for 7 years to provide free vet care to animals doesn't leave a ton in the bank for a $15,000 rigging project!
Amazing people with such good hearts. Come on rigging companies, lend a hand to these good people!
No. These people need to stop begging for free stuff.
@@SOLDOZER they're doing a great job and need help! everyone needs help at some stage.
@@SOLDOZER oh, i didn't say free, maybe wholesale or a good discount etc...

@@Dryer_Safe I'm here for the animal work. Sailing is just icing on the cake.
It's because lots of people don't want Goggle spying on them. So they don't get an account.
Because theres 80,000,000 sailing channels and its played out.

Haha yeh it does seem that way! Agree re professionals too!
W0W! What about having some FUN!? Isn't that in the rule's book!? Haha!
Haha don't worry we do that too!
Great vid guys. I love the short, sharp clips from one topic to another. Keep it coming!❣
thanks!
Wow, that was a crazy stressful episode 😮 You are a marvel 🤗💞
Aw thank you!
They say problems come in sets of 3 but you overdid it and had 3 sets of 3! Once out sailing it will be a lot better! 🙂 Keep on keeping on.
hah yep, weird week! Thank you
Great episode! ❤
glad you liked it!
Love your videos
thank you!
It never ends until the day you sell or sink the boat. LOL..
For sure!
Hello, i'm wondering, what's the meaning of stay chuffed ? :)
thank you for your work :) and ... stay chuffed :):)
It's an expression in the UK and Australia that means "stay happy." Or you might be "chuffed" with the outcome of something, meaning "pleased."
David has answered well! We are chuffed you can now use the word chuffed in a sentence!

Did you see that poor dog left tied to a fence in Florida? So glad the doggo was rescued.
No I didnt see that, poor thing glad he was rescued!

Winching and stomach bugs. Not fun. Boat projects and timing. Provisioning and wet gear😂😂.
Yep, all the fun stuff!
