What an excellent report!!! I am a Sault College full-time faculty and I enjoy working with international students. I am also an immigrant who came to Canada as an international student a while ago. So, I know about the struggles of being and feeling like an outsider. Most of my international students come from the Philippines and from India. What a joy helping them learn and seeing their progress! All of them are hard-working. I teach in the Gerontology Multidiscipline Certificate (postgraduate program) and in the GAS (General Arts and Science) program. As you said, Sault College is very committed to assisting international students to succeed. There is lots of support available and the faculty really care about our students. Soo is an amazing place, however, due to the pandemic Soo at the moment (10/2021) is a pretty crowded place even getting a room on Airbnb is a headache. A woman in Soo told me that lots of restaurants are closed because people are having their meals at home, I don't know how it can affect people getting jobs at those places while studying. Hoping things get back to their tracks. Really informative video!

Getting a job offer will be very difficult considering the very less job availability in the community and also maximum of the international student will target this program... so think twice before selecting this program..

Hi Ms. Mc, my husband and i are going to sault ste marie this coming december as int’l student in sault college ste marie ( me ) my husband is owp. Tanong ko lang po, marami o meron po bang mga factory/manufacturing company near sault ste marie? Kasi po 9years po kaming ofw sa taiwan as factory worker, naisip lang po namin na baka mahirap makahanap ng work na hindi in-line sa work experience namin. 2nd, Global Business Management po yung program ko, after grad po ba marami o meron pong maaapplyan na work dyan sa ste marie related sa program ko po? 3rd po, if ever po ba pagdating po namin sa sault ste marie, pwede po kaya magpalit ng program bago mag start ang class? Gusto ko po sana mag Early childhood educ., if ever pwede po, hindi po ba makakaapekto sa PR application yun in the future? Sorry po dami tanong 🙂 Any suggestion from you po Ms. Mc will really help. About 17k per year are u Filipino? Then avail the scholarship to get it for about 14-15k per yr

Hi Ms. MC does 1+1 program recognized in RNIP pathway?
1+1 is still considered a two year program by IRCC ;) therefore will be considered on RNIP - it says there " were studying as a full-time student for the full duration of the 2+ years"
