Ben, fantastic, I am going to try to replicate this for my learning. I am going to be teaching a 6-year-old because I am a homeschool teacher in the jungle. I taught his brother and sister who have left home now and are living in the city. He is very talented at 6 years old, how do I teach him acrylic or whatever and tap into his ability? any ideas from your children? Also, i will have to order the paints, which do you suggest, the Australian ones? Thank you

Hey Caroline, thanks for watching. It's fantastic that you're going to teach art! As for what type of Acrylics to buy I'd just go with a cheap set for now and as they're skill grows then think about the more expensive brands. As you've seen I painted this with just a cheap 4.50 pack from Kmart. So don't get bogged down with too much thought. Just making a start is exciting for them. I'd start with some simple paintings which I have like the bee painting I did with my daughter or the happy floral video where I use paper cutouts for the flowers and scrape paint over the stencils. With art there's no rules just experiment and have fun. Hope this helps and again thanks for watching and commenting.

Amazon may be a good option? I would look at the cheaper brands but I must say Mont Mart are great for beginners and not too pricey.

@@carolinegrant2423 Here are some links to easier beginner type videos and water colour paper is fine for acrylics, It may crinkle but once dry just put it under some heavy books on a flat surface for a night or two and this will make it flat again.

Oh and for good quality acrylics try Matisse structure by Derivan an Aussie brand or then there's Golden a US brand. Schminke a German brand and also Atelier interactive another Australian brand. All these are good quality.
