Hello Ron, I am a subscriber to your Channel as well...I love how both Sue and you bring back the history of those who have gone before us...as well as, the beauty of these amazing masterpieces in stone, marble and granite. To me they are as priceless and as beautiful as any Rembrandt or Leonardo da Vinc...Thank you BOTH for letting us come with you ❤
OMLord ...can you imagine sitting comfortably in your home and hearing that bell? That would scare the bejeezus out of me...lol. Thanks for taking us along!!
For anyone else wondering, esquire after a name, meant a landowner, or someone of the English gentry who was just under a knight. In modern day a lawyer can have that after their name. I had to look that up. Great video regardless of the wind Sue! Love you showing us a little of Irish history. Just love the vaults.
@@SerenitySueGraveyards how would I find out where a certain grave is in Mount Jerome as I think my Grandfather Patrick Hogan is buried there He was a Guard in Dublin Police died in 1979 Any info you good give me. Much appreciated from Theresa
I'd start with find a grave and if no luck there I'd try find a map or ring mount Jerome directly they might have the records for everyone there hope you find him ❤
Gorgeous and surprises around every corner. I bet you were just so excited and didn't want to leave. That skeleton, was a great find! Thank you for taking us.
Thank you for showing us this incredible place. We don’t have cemeteries like that in Texas. I didn’t mind the wind, it added to the atmosphere and seemed as though I was actually there. Such masterful stonework. I wonder if the skeleton was exposed simply because the coffin rotted away, or someone disturbed the crypt? Unusual to see so many recent burials intermingled among the very old graves. I guess they have records to know where there is still empty space. We should pause and remember those who came before. These were the Victorians who in many ways laid the foundation to our modern world. Requiescat in pace.
It's not strange outside of North America for a family to reuse the same funeral plot after 20 years. The remains are often respectfully re-burried in the soil of said crypt when it is opened and then the next coffin goes above. Often it's wgy a lot of crypts are large plots or very deep so there is space for the next. The life expectancy was 30-50 only 100 years ago and people were not preserved and embalmed the way it is done in North America so a body can decay within 20-25 years. I think there is 17 years between my grandmother and her uncle who was beneath her. He was at least 15ft down. Granny is at 9 ft. There is space for 1 more if one of my aunts pass. Grandma was 96 at death and my aunts are in their 80s (14-17 years older than mom) and they are widows. I found it shocking when I first found out but really, we don't last forever so it isn't that strange.
I'm a new subscriber due to Ron from "Faces of The Forgotten", (Thanks Ron!) I LOVED this video and what a find. You really captured this cemetery well. Look forward to watching your other videos. Greetings from South Carolina! :)
Sue, that was a great video on such a dreadful day too. It was lovely to see Christmas wreaths on many old graves. It's nice to see that there are still people who remember them. I recently found the grave of family members who died long before I was born. The last interrment was in 1935. None of the older generation of my family who knew them are alive today so I placed a wreath on the grave on Christmas Eve and I'll continue to so so
As I watched, the Lord pointed out the message in the Honorable John Massy's inscription: Revelation 14:13. "I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” said the Spirit, “let them find rest from their labors, for their works accompany them.” What a lovely epitaph! Thanks for being His messenger, Sue! Bless you for persisting, despite that wind!

@@danjames5552 nothing wrong with walking on graves! That was a no,no to my grandmother and her generation. That was a very long, long time ago! Many people walk on graves when they trim the grass, place flowers etc. What is disrespectful are people who steal and damage head stones, flowers, etc. Stealing is very common! Bones, so what! Go to a museum and you will see bones. Everything with these two is “beautiful and Rest In Peace. They immortalize some who are long forgotten. I worry more about drunk driving, school shootings, etc. I so very much enjoy their videos and I am close to “the stepping off point” The universe is big and the souls of these departed have long left
Think Liz has said exactly what I was going to, by the way Dan, I walk on the kerbing, occasionally I step inside them but I also have a gimole which allows a long reach, those bones are there to see, I didn't break nor touch or harm anyone, now I suggest you either not watch or watch my videos a little more, I am very respectful and speak the names of those long forgotten, have a blessed day ❤
That is definitely a city of the dead. I am overwhelmed sitting here listening and watching you go through it. I have been to many large cemeteries but not with the diversity that is in this one. I heard the male voice when you were filming but I thought it was just someone nearby. Oh my goodness, this one would take forever to explore even in nice weather. Thank you for taking us with you!!!! Loved it!
My grandparents are buried here. This video brought back memories of running around the graveyard with my cousins and daring each other to look into the crypts. It's an amazing place to visit. Keep up the good work 👍
Great video sue, gorgeous cemetery the History just incredible you can learn so much from just walking around the architecture and the detail that go into these mausoleums you just dont see that anymore.
No we don't, Victorians had the most beautiful monuments made for their loved ones. Wish the newer stones could be like this but I can only imagine the cost of something like this
Thank you Sue for baring the weather to give us stone histories - most of the great l could hear you but so enjoyed the visit. Do have any history on the the human bones we saw in the crypt? WOW! What a wonderful tour round the huge place!! Part 2 in the summer Yeah!
Seems to be such a wonderful place. I imagine person could visit many times and still not see the whole cemetery. As usual thank you for sharing ❤️👍🏻👵🏻

Hello Sue. What an amazing videos you had made. Such a beautiful scenery of the cemetery in Ireland. Keep up the good work and stay safe. From Sarawak, Malaysia. 💝💖🙏🏼
Oh Sue! Sue! Your driving me crazy with the frustration of not actually being there with you! Your saying out aloud , what I’m thinking! “ oh! Wow! Wow! WOW! Just look at this!!” You may not realise how lucky you are, to be surrounded by such beautiful graves, superb masonry, and the dates! Going back, back, back! How lucky are you! Just soooo very grateful that you share as much as possible with us!.. even some of the little hidden gems of grave yards, quite overgrown, where you have to traipse across muddy fields to get to, just fill me with excitement! One place in particular, overgrown with brambles, making me want to travel over with strimmer ,secateurs, and slasher to get to those 1600s graves…where some lovely person had made their own private pilgrimage leaving holy water and pottery angels on accessible graves, abd wooden owls, wind chimes, gems etc under some boughs, thoroughly fascinated me, and I wanted to join you and Irish Eyes, as you seem to find so many truly beautiful statuary, and such old graves! Here in the U.K. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any so old, or so beautiful. I AM subscribed to your page Sue and can honestly say it’s been one of the best things I’ve done so far this year, and would seriously ask other viewers to subscribe to Sue’s page too. When you think of the miles she has to travel ( petrol costs) research time, making sure she can care for her family during her times out too which is always a problem, and getting special permission to access some of these places. It all takes a lot of her time and wear and tear, plus fuel etc…so please help her if you can. That’s me asking…not Sue bless her. I wish she could do a raffle or something, the winner getting to spend a day with her.,,that would be fantastic for people as keen as myself and Sue! Dream on Helen! Sigh! Thankyou again both of you..,Sue, and well trained Irish Eyes, keeping out of shot, but so reassuring knowing he’s with Sue, just in case she twists and ankle or similar. Stay safe, keep doing what you do so brilliantly! Happy Valentines Day next mon 14th! Much love and hugs from Helen in U.K. 🙋♀️😘😘💐💕👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😸🌹Xxxxxx
Ahh Helen that's so beautiful thank you so much, do me a little favour will you subscribe to Irish eyes channel? It's called graveyard guy, I'll put the link under here, he has decided to give youtube a go❤
This is an amazing city of the dead! Beautiful sculptures. Thank you for braving the elements to bring us this. By the way, my ancestors are from Dublin, and Cork.
Oh wow, Sue! Everything there is amazing, including the shapes of those trees! Some of the monuments are breathtaking. Those views outweigh any wind. Thank you so much for sharing an area I’d otherwise never get to see. ❤️
While all the monuments are outstandingly beautiful ,certainly more ornate style ,than I have ever seen in my life before, I am also interested by the paranormal, and the fact that the mausoleum you were looking into had no discernible coffins, yet I too heard the men talking together while you stood there alone. Would there be any chance of you and Irish Eyes visiting it together and asking who was talking etc? And the grave showing the very ancient skeleton seemed a wee bit strange as he surely wasn’t buried like that! So his remains have been disturbed and the lid left open, maybe he would have a word or two to say about that! Just a thought..not wanting to upset anyone, but you know Spirits still visit their resting places from time to time. Gorgeous video Sue, far too much to include in one go. Some fabulous amounts of money have been spent over the years to pay for such fantastic creations in memory of loved ones. Thankyou Sue! Much love and hugs Helen 🙋♀️🙋♀️💐👏🏻👏🏻 xx
Hi Helen, yes strange about the voice, I heard nothing at the time but clearly in edit..its quiet a bit away from us but I'd love to visit again some day, it's so beautiful 😍
There is a huge cemetery up north in Derry near the Creggan part of the city that always fascinated me as a child as we could see it from where we used to play near the city wall in the Bog Side. I had never actually been inside it until a few years back when my sister and I went over to visit our relatives who still live in Derry. We had lots of questions to ask about our grand parents (my grandmother died the day my mother was born so we never knew her) so they took us to visit their graves. It is so beautiful there and so peaceful. I hope to go back again some day to spend more time exploring it. Loved your video and look forward to seeing more.
What an amazing cemetery! Between you and Irish Eyes, you both got some awesome footage! Heard that voice as well, but can't understand what he's saying. Wow!!

Thanks so much for covering this lovely cemetery! I could hear despite the continuing wind. I was fascinated by the skeleton, seemed to be lying at rest. Maybe the coffin disintegrated over time ? And yes, I could hear the male voice, I wonder what he said?

Many people walk on graves when they trim the grass, place flowers etc. What is disrespectful are people who steal and damage head stones, flowers, etc. Stealing is very common! Bones, so what! Go to a museum and you will see bones. Everything with these two is “beautiful and Rest In Peace. They immortalize some who are long forgotten. I worry more about drunk driving, school shootings, etc. I so very much enjoy their videos and I am close to “the stepping off point”
The universe is big and the souls of these departed have long left
Wow Liz, you go!!! ❤❤

Love this place Sue. What a great job. 👍. The skeleton 💀 was amazing. The headstones are outstanding.. Just beautiful. Thank you . God bless.
Thanks Donna ❤️
What a brilliant cemetery! Great job as always Sue! Thanks 🙏🙋
Thanks Prissy❤
Amazing video Serenity Sue. I could hear that EVP as well. The one with human remains was something else to see. Great job!
Yes! Thank you!
What a hauntingly beautiful cemetery! Thank you for braving the weather to bring us this episode ❤️
Thanks Garry ❤️
Hauntingly? No pun intended I'm sure.
@@captain007x actually, I didn’t…but now that you mention it 🤣🤣🤣
That is definitely a city of the dead. Loved it!
Oh I just fell in love here 😍
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I totally understand!!!!!
My grandparents are buried here. This video brought back memories of running around the graveyard with my cousins and daring each other to look into the crypts. It's an amazing place to visit. Keep up the good work 👍
hi Alan, this is so nice to read and I'm very happy this brought back some sweet memories
Great video sue, gorgeous cemetery the History just incredible you can learn so much from just walking around the architecture and the detail that go into these mausoleums you just dont see that anymore.
No we don't, Victorians had the most beautiful monuments made for their loved ones. Wish the newer stones could be like this but I can only imagine the cost of something like this
Love your vids Sue the Mausoleums were stunningly beautiful amazing monuments headstones Ireland has incredible cemetries💗
It was just amazing ❤️
What a fabulously beautiful cemetery! It is truly a spectacular place to see. Be well and be blessed. Thank you ever so much for sharing this with us.
Thanks Timothy ❤️
Thank you Sue for baring the weather to give us stone histories - most of the great l could hear you but so enjoyed the visit. Do have any history on the the human bones we saw in the crypt? WOW! What a wonderful tour round the huge place!! Part 2 in the summer Yeah!
Nothing unfortunately, I did go back there a few weeks ago and did a different section, video is here
That was just amazing. So much beauty in that great place!
It's just stunning 😍
Seems to be such a wonderful place. I imagine person could visit many times and still not see the whole cemetery. As usual thank you for sharing ❤️👍🏻👵🏻
I was thinking the exact same you could do it every day for a year and not read them all ❤
You have nailed it again Sue. Sorry i didnt comment on the mummies, but i was missing my keyboard and just got another wireless one, i am so proud on how you made this channel into what it is. the content is fantastic as usual and allways so interesting, Thank you for yet another fantastic Voyage xxx.
Tom, will you email me about the forgotten sailor please, by the way Thanks Tom for being here from the start ❤❤
@@SerenitySueGraveyards of course i will, give me a few days to get what i know together or, just look up the anadora star, ship and the bodies found, then look a bit deeper as he had no name for years and i think ballycastle, had a service and got him a proper headstone etc, and recognised xxx. He was the last body found.
Brilliant thank you ❤
@@SerenitySueGraveyards and i have a menu from the ship, and lovely pics of luke kellys banjo if you need them as prop pics LOL, all that jazz LOL xxx
I'm doing a video on luke Kelly's as I found his grave eventually maybe the photo would be an added bonus to the video ❤
Your voice is very soothing Sue , I admire your accent it’s so beautiful .
Thank you so much 🙂
Hello Sue. What an amazing videos you had made. Such a beautiful scenery of the cemetery in Ireland. Keep up the good work and stay safe. From Sarawak, Malaysia. 💝💖🙏🏼
Thanks very much ❤️
Amazing Sue! The audio wasn't bad at all. Thank you it is so amazing to see so much history. Ireland is amazing!!!!
Ireland is amazing and I'm just loving it all ❤
Oh Sue!

This is an amazing city of the dead! Beautiful sculptures. Thank you for braving the elements to bring us this. By the way, my ancestors are from Dublin, and Cork.
Thanks Shawn, it was beautiful 😍
What an amazing place! The wind and rain don't detract from its beauty, for sure.
Hey Bill, not at all, I was super excited to visit here
That's a huge cemetery!!! And so many beautiful markers.
Thanks for sharing and God bless. Please take care.

Hi Sue, love your videos! What an amazing cemetery. So many of the Irish last names I recognize from people who live here in the United States.
Wow Pam, that's really cool ❤
What an amazing place my eyes didn't know where to look must of been hard for you as well
Oh Hazel I just wanted to stay there so much ❤❤
What interesting journeys with you. I'm in South Africa but I have the privilege to explore with you. Thank you.
That's amazing, I'm so happy to take you along ❤️
Amazing cemetary tour thank you for taking the time doing this
Thanks for watching ❤
It’s wonderful to think of having a vault for the family. No one can forget where you’re buried!
That's so true..all together forever, our graves in Ireland usually contain all family too
Oh wow, Sue! Everything there is amazing, including the shapes of those trees! Some of the monuments are breathtaking. Those views outweigh any wind. Thank you so much for sharing an area I’d otherwise never get to see. ❤️
Thanks Pam, this place is stunning, every turn is very different, you'd easily get lost going around here ❤
While all the monuments are outstandingly beautiful ,certainly more ornate style ,than I have ever seen in my life before, I am also interested by the paranormal, and the fact that the mausoleum you were looking into had no discernible coffins, yet I too heard the men talking together while you stood there alone.
Much love and hugs
Helen 🙋♀️🙋♀️💐👏🏻👏🏻 xx
Sounds beautiful, I hope to visit the North of Ireland too 😀
I love pictures 💕💯‼️
Beautiful Cemetery 🙏💕💯‼️

Amazing and beautiful cemetery! The cross with the roses and bow is gorgeous. There are so many unusual headstones and mausoleums here. ❤️
So many different monuments I loved them all feel blessed to have visited but I will return ❤
That place was so beautiful, all those headstones, monuments and Mausaleums. Where do you start with a vast amount like that, amazing. I too heard that voice and the skeletal remains were so clear to see. You must have been soaked and freezing after doing the video of this. Well dine Sue and thank you so much. Blessings my dear 💕🇦🇺

Anyone here ever explore laurel hill in philly? That’s a huge gorgeous cemetery. This channel has inspired me to go back to a cemetery in perkiomen I haven’t visited in 10 years. Lots of early 1700’s stones there.
Oh definitely do
Truly just amazing!! Thank you so much.
Thanks Suzanne ❤️
Awesome video! I heard several disembodied voices with headphones! !
Oh really ❤❤
Bon sang vous avez l’opportunité de visiter de biens jolis cimetières... J’adore les allées bordées de caveaux 😊 ! Effectivement, la vue du squelette à 18.00 minutes est très impressionnante... 👍👍👍
Thanks so much
What an amazing cemetery, well done Sue.

What an amazing place you were so excited. I'd never heard of it till you went there I'd love to visit. All those green doors I couldn't help but think of the song was it by Shaking Stevens 🤔 I heard that voice don't know what it said. I'm glad I watched this in daylight with that skeleton I haven't watched your mummies video yet I didn't watch it the other night as I thought I might have nightmares lol Thanks for all the work you both do.
Thanks so much Beverley ❤️ ❤️
I would absolutely love to see some of Ireland someday. But until I can get there I'll depend on you to show me around Miss Sue.
This is fantastic video Sue. Thanks 😊
Thanks Pamela ❤️
Thanks so much for covering this lovely cemetery! I could hear despite the continuing wind. I was fascinated by the skeleton, seemed to be lying at rest. Maybe the coffin disintegrated over time ? And yes, I could hear the male voice, I wonder what he said?
Wow! The Irish know how to lay their loved one's to rest! Beautiful ! Your # 1. Brrrrr! Get out of that cold weather!
It was cold but I didn't care, was more worried about the horrible audio from the wind ❤
i just want to break out in song and sing along with the irish rovers when i hear you !lol
Lol you should ❤❤
Very cool find on the skeletal remains Serenity Sue. I love the old cemetery and what it has to offer to the living ☠️
It's just stunning, I'd spend my days there is I could and then after that I'd be very happy buried there ❤
Love those family vaults unlike anything else we have ever seen here in the states. Nice job on the skeleton! Maybe do a turnaround on a nicer day audio will be better too. Mt. Jerome is truly awesome.
Oh I'm definitely going back, audio sucks but not much I can do for now, I love the little vaults too, I was just so happy to get there it's been a dream of mine 💖
