Literally as you were making all the duck puns I heard my mom talking to herself in the other room and she said “okay, I think I have all my ducks in a row”😂
As a duck mom myself I'm so glad to see you saved this baby, ducks are just such great birds and I hope he makes a fuill recovery. I've been absolutely enjoying all your video's from Tasmania and seeing you happy and in your element is just the best!
When I saw the houses by the water while Alex was trudging through with their waders on - I just had to laugh and wonder what those home owners would be thinking while watching Alex out of context Lol. Especially when she was with the large stick trying to finagle the duck haha
Accidentally watching the vlog following this one before this one made this infinitely more enjoyable. Knowing the journey to get that duck and seeing all the foreshadowing before it was too much.
Everything is improved with a duck or two around! I love that story of the signet ring and the duck just quietly sitting on your lap listening. I hope you've invested in some new waders since this was filmed. 😆
When I watch the Olympics I find myself leaning from side to side mimicking the athletes movements as some kind of encouragement. I found myself doing the same thing when you were pulling your waders out of the thick mud.
That poor duck 😢 I hope she will be ok. She was so karm bless her 🦆 luckily you stopped to take photos, or she would still be there hurt. Well done 💖💖👏🏻👏🏻XXXXX
I hope you're able to give us an update on the duck at some point! so cute. my bf and I absolutely love ducks lmao. also reminder to brush your teeth if you haven't ❤
I really hope the duck survived! He looked absolutely drained of energy, barely struggling at all. Birds have such fast metabolism that not having enough access to food and water drains them super quickly and dangerously. 😥
Alex with the giant stick: if I just hold this maybe it will think I am a tree and I'll blend in... 😂 In all seriousness I was amazed at how calm you and the duck were! Well done. ☺️
I just found her channel and am sad to hear of her passing… and of people’s relentless criticism of her but she says in the video they were going to find a rescue for it. As a person who does bird rescue, myself, it’s usually time consuming for the rescues to keep the person who found the bird updated on its recovery as they’re busy with taking care of the birds.
That's definitely a mallard we have them here too in Canada. I've taken two adult and one baby mourning doves to our local wildlife rescue. I can splint a wing but I don't have as much time to rehab animals as I used to when I was a kid. I feel like that's definitely the universe going "here's your sign!' I've had similar instances in this past year telling me to go to college for Film Editing.
I'm happy that you seem happy! I'm so sorry that some people feel the need to leave cruel manipulative comments. It's really not hard to just be kind. Just because you give us a few minutes of your day doesn't give people the right to make assumptions about your life. I hope you continue to thrive doing what you love with the people and animals that you love!
That was really good of you Alex!! we have a friend out Campaignia that has a wildlife sancturay so whenever we find injured animals we take them to her.
The discord does still exist, people post relatively regularly. I would share a link but I get attacked by others anytime I do since they think I’m “being a terrible supporter” and “letting in haters” it’s gotten super gate-keepy and gross
@Becca Randle ah that's disappointing. It would've been nice to talk to others but not at the expense of people being mean (sort of defeats the point of trying to connect with people with the same interests if people are nasty). Glad to know it's still going though but kind of sad that it's gatekeepy. Makes me feel like walking on eggshells then. Maybe Alex will post another link sometime if she feels comfortable 😌
@@RuKi385 I definitely wish TH-cam had a DM feature still for this reason. It makes me sad that people aren’t being more inclusive and accepting too, I thought that was the whole point honestly 😔
Watching Alex in the water with the yard behind her and some bird running around and thinking she'll be upset she missed it when she reviews the footage.
I’m really sorry to tell you this Alex, but any introduced bird species injured and given to vets or wildlife rescues are more than likely put down, as they are considered a pest. The mallard is introduced in tas and broader aus. I’ve had rescues refuse to take introduced species many times. Legally they can’t treat them and return them to the wild 😢
@@TT-_- oh 100%! She did the right thing. And Alex might have known that information already. Just thought it was important to mention, especially if Alex intends to open a wildlife sanctuary herself. No hate intended xx
When my brother and I had to take our cat to the vet he pooped in his carrier when we were literally 3 minutes before our home 😭🥲 the smell was SO bad 😭😭
Alex, please give us an update about Lola. I'm worried for her....(and really, all the other birds too, including the infamous Archie). Aren't you!? Hard to watch you escaping the little lives back home that so desperately need you and rely on you. 😥
Sooo you should start lookin for a place to start your animal sanctuary there in Tas! Do it now! the universe is literally screaming it at you girlie!!!! You were totally happy and in your element when saving that duck!!!!!
You need to just figure things out with Dan and Sydney before you move. It’s not fair to him to leave him behind with all the animals and house work and you go to Tasmania and do whatever you want. You’re married and need to thing about the other person too. Dan wouldn’t ever tell you no because he is too nice and wants you to be happy but I’m sure you’re making him sad
Are you next to Dan or Alex 24/7? As you meantuned they are married and definatelly know what to do about their own lives..just because Alex chooses to share few minutes of her life doesn't mean you know everything that is going on. Please don't ruin things as I am sure she already has anxiety about sharing things online because of comments like these
Not everyone has the same type of relationship. Plus in other videos Dan expresses how happy he is that Alex is happy after going through all that stuff with her health. Plus you cant assume Dan is sad? maybe he likes the arrangement? maybe hes getting to do stuff he wanted to do as well? All im saying is your comment is kinda judgy and assuming.
My Aunt and Uncle had spent a few yrs living in different states apart, but called and would travel back and forth. Many ppl who are in committed relationships live apart bc of different reasons, but it doesn't mean they're any less a couple. Often, I notice w ppl who have lived separately in an established/healthy relationship, that it often works. Just bc it doesn't work for yourself, doesn't mean it doesn't for others
Alex, can you please tell Caitlyn that they are not called Chickens, but ducklings 🤭🤭🤭 And as others said about the male and female duck, the make has the green head, the most common "rule" when it comes to genders of animals, most of them. The males are more colorful than the females. They need to be pretty for the ladies 😉
For anyone judging Alex's travels to Tasmnia in a negative light for not being at "home" more. You are likely either very young, and/or are in-experienced in the way that most healthy relationships opperate. Firstly, it is incredibly common and completely normal for couples to spend long durations (months or even years) apart pursuing different goals in life. Work, schooling, hobbies, volunteer work, healing, etc. I doubt you even realize it is actually coming from a very misogynistic standpoint to make this comment about Alex pursuing her career aspirations, as well as continuing her healing journey instead the of the "traditional" expectations of her taking "care" of her house and husband. Secondly, please give Dan some more credit here. He is a grown adult. He can very easily and happily take care of himself and their home and pets. Many single men do this very thing every day. While also pursuing and growing within their own careers. They seem to have a very strong and healthy bond and relationship. For many spending time apart is one of the best ways to continue to grow closer in a relationship. Your comments and concern are coming from a well-intentioned but misguided standpoint. Please think before you say something that is so incredibly intrusive, rude and most likely untrue. Alex, if you see this, please continue to pursue all of your dreams! You are a beautiful soul and it is wonderful to see you continue to thrive. ❤️
Caitlyn crying over missing her flight is me. Crying is the only appropriate response in this regard
Thank you for helping the poor duck! You are a beautiful person!
Literally as you were making all the duck puns I heard my mom talking to herself in the other room and she said “okay, I think I have all my ducks in a row”😂
I've genuinely never seen a duck be so chill in someone's arms, you truly are the bird whisper. Bro was also comfy as in that sweater.🦆
I absolutely died when Caitlyn turned the camera on Alex after she lost her and she was looking very serious with a huge stick over her shoulders!!
Love how calm the duck was with you - it’s like he knew you were there to help. ❤
That duck you called a sir is actually a female. The once with green on the head is a male, just so you know 🦆🦆😊
was gonna say the same thing. i also just googled what a male duck is called in english and its apparently a drake lol
Yes they're Mallards
I was gonna say this. ☺️ i have both male and female pet ducks.🦆❤️
Was thinking the same 🤣
Wait the females have the green heads? I always thought they were the brown ones.
I’m glad you were able to help that poor duck. I can’t believe how much water went into your waders though! 😮
As a duck mom myself I'm so glad to see you saved this baby, ducks are just such great birds and I hope he makes a fuill recovery. I've been absolutely enjoying all your video's from Tasmania and seeing you happy and in your element is just the best!

The ring is beautiful and definitely is a perfect sign! So happy it called to you. :) And thanks for helping the sweet duck! You're a good person.
Caitlyn’s commentary on Alex trying to wrangle the duck is exactly what my friends say to each other when I go off to look at animals!
Accidentally watching the vlog following this one before this one made this infinitely more enjoyable. Knowing the journey to get that duck and seeing all the foreshadowing before it was too much.

You telling the duck a story is exactly what I’d do!
There is no reDUCKtion in your enthusiasm to save all the birbs!
Great job helping the duck. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome
Thanks for the lemonade stand and duck song. My Grandson and his Mom were singing it on Saturday in the car.
You made me laugh.
When I watch the Olympics I find myself leaning from side to side mimicking the athletes movements as some kind of encouragement. I found myself doing the same thing when you were pulling your waders out of the thick mud.
you call them gum boots? I LOVE that! My family calls them muck'a boots cause they get you through the muck
That poor duck 😢 I hope she will be ok. She was so karm bless her 🦆 luckily you stopped to take photos, or she would still be there hurt. Well done 💖💖👏🏻👏🏻XXXXX
Karm? Lol what?
Oh my gosh thank goodness you found him and could take him to a vet! I hope they could help him and release him back out later! 😓❤
Aww hope ducky is going to be okay. Your so kind for helping him.❤
I quite enjoyed this one. Things happen for a reason, indeed. Trust your intuition!

Wombat path is so cute 🥰 the equivalent phrase in America Im familiar with is deer trail
I’m going to require a duck-date (update) on the mallard.

Alex I wish you would make a calendar with all of your lovely pictures. ✌️❤🦆📸
Yay i have been waiting for this video! Glad you managed to help the poor duck
Oh 100% those are signs💙I love that so much!
The duck at the start was only trying to get in touch with you about your cars extended warranty!
Woaahhh !!
Hello Alex 😍
20:37 Why do I feel like this is a common accurance

Here deer can make trails where I live in rural Pennsylvania
MG= Mystery Good 😂 😂
I enjoyed this video of you guys in the "wild" good job with the duck
4:36 that sir is a female mallard
Does anyone know if the side quest Discord is still a thing? The older links don't work anymore :(
I'm also looking for this :(

Ah dear Caitlin x
Thanks for looking out for the duckies
Watching this AFTER the storytime and knowing whats going to happen and then what happened XD
If you ever want to feed ducks they love peas and it's good for them vs bread is not (duck/turkey/chicken/goose/guinea hen mama here)

So stressed with your camera and no strap on it xd place looks beautiful 😍
I love ducks, theres a Scottish lady at work who wanted goats and geese, I want ducks and donkeys 🤣😂 and dogs, love dogs.
Meneral Gotors. 😂
Your videos make me wish I could move to Tasmania
Well that was unexpected
When my brother and I had to take our cat to the vet he pooped in his carrier when we were literally 3 minutes before our home 😭🥲 the smell was SO bad 😭😭
I was thinking you were going to be offered a job on the spot to go out to the near by trails and looking for birds that need some assistance.
Girl what? But seriously, Alex the bird rescue hero of 2022/23 ❤
Ofc I see the new video and that’s the moment my bf calls be back 😹
They do call one back in the most important times, don’t they
😆 relatable!! My Dad called in the middle of the ducks lol
MG stands for Morris Garages,
MG was an omen

Kaitlin got scammed by the airline!
It sounds like she likely missed the boarding period.
Ughh!!!

Search up “look at all those chickens” on youtube. It’s a reference.
